|"I didn't have a good lap at all in Q2, nevertheless I was very surprised that De Wit got pole position. It's not nice to start from P2 in Monaco, pole position is very important. Fortunately Patrick made a mistake in the pits and I passed him, but after that I had a lot of pressure from behind, Fredrik was really fast today. Especially in the last stint he got very close but overtaking is impossible so I just had to keep it on the track. Quite immense pressure from behind again, clearly we need to improve our pace abit."|
|"For Simon, the only thing I did this race was again staring at peoples rear wings. Nothing spectacular happened really.|
Q1: Was no problem, I knew this time would be more time spread. Pb was 1.09.7, got 1.10.2 in the end, which was still enough.
Q2: Put 1st gear by accident in the last chicane when I was up on the pole time. 3rd on the grid was not ideal in any way.
Race: Followed Bono all through the race. Last stint was the most fun I've ever driven in simracing. Got a great flow and was on the limit pretty much all the time. Great feeling. Now on to Canada, a track which I don't really enjoy very much. Last year we were quick however, so hopefully I can repeat it and do even better. "

After the FSR Season 2011 has started
I did not expect to be on pole position this season
After seeing performances of outside q1 the 1st 5 races
Q1 i knew beforehand i would make it to Q2
i did almost pb in Q1 1 10 2 lost some time but thats Monaco
In Q2 the pressure was enormous to set an superb lap the top 10 has 1 lap with race settings on low fuel
I managed somehow to do it my repeat pole position back on 2008 things always go well here
When starting the formation lap i was very cautious lol did not want a repeat of my 2008 debacle crashing in formation lap when in pole position pffff
The racestart had a good getaway into turn 1 but the exit was not too well and Huis had a run on me
As it is hard to overtake in Monaco i tried to fend of Huis which worked but the guys begind me clearly had the better racecar
When hey pitted(huis/Nilson) i tried to do a as fast lap i could think of before pitting but my car understeered goign into Tabac corner and i touched the guardrails and had some damage which i decied to repair cause car was strange after that that costed me a nice fight presumblaby with Huis Nilson
It killed my race for a potential victory:(
In the end i tried everything to hold on to the last podium spot which payed out i fended off a charging Morgan Morand
I am extremely pleased that i could score Faster Than Speed 2nd ever WC Pole position did it back in 2007 in Montreal
And now again shame i could not get the victory as this year you don,t get that many chances:)
I am really happy about my performance
I hope to move forward but its extremely difficult in WC
Thanx for FTS and Christian to give me a great car for Monaco

|"I.m very happy to finish 4th in a selective track like monaco. i have 2/3 races i don.t have the pace caused essentially by setup. For this race, Martin Christensen, my team manager helped me to have a great setup and the work has paid. |
I pass Q1 very easy, but with low FPS it.s easy to do a mistake.
In Q2, i have the pace to do 1.10.9 but i do a big mistake in the 2nd sector and i.m in 1.11.4 and finish 5th of the qualifying session, my best result at this time
At the start of the race, i do a big start than Room and Nilsson, i.m 3th at the brake zone but i touch the kerb which bumps the car and i drift at the end...
So i.m 6th, I overtake Rouault in the outside at "nouvelle chicane" . My best overtake too... but he hits me after and i have damages at the rear of the car.
Raino Room is in front of me, he is slower than me but i can't overtake him. I decide to pit earlier and it works.
i try to overtake De wit in his first lap of his 2nd stint but i have a contact with Kerkhof in the chicane and the left rear suspension has damages... ( and Antiroll bar more ) So the car is impossible to drive and very unconstant, i prefer to don.t attack de wit and try to overtake him in the pit.
I pit 2 lap earlier than him, i push very hard the car but De wit pit and leave the pit before me... I prefer to don.t push the car and preserve the engine life ( i finish with 2% left )
In last lap, De wit is very slow, but i can.t overtake him...
The podium was so close... :( "
|"I just went home before Q1 start, i was driving with damaged leg what i got from football game earlier today.|
Q1: 10,5 didnt expect that, was very happy with it. 6th
Q2: amazing lap 11,3 what was my pb, 4th couldnt belive it, very happy.
R: At start , morand allmost got place in T1 but luckly i saved my position,
was on 4th all first stint, when i made first pitstop , i missed my pit place, needed to correct my car, what taked 5seconds. With that stop morand and atze passed me. Dropped to 6th. Saw Atze crashed , was up to 5th where i was till to end.
Very good weekend for me, best result in WC,
sad that many drivers crashed, hope that they have more luck in next races.

|"Well, I missed out in Qual but in a way it helped me with the chaos that happened at the start. The race wasn't very interesting for me, but I had some fun and bad bits which could be considered for the broadcast.|
Lap 1, Nouvelle Chicane i went off
Lap 4, Jack Keithley lets me through before the tunnel.
Lap 57, I lose my front wing at Tabac
Lap 76, I pass Disley in Tabac with a nice pass :) [All starts from Mirrabae of that lap all the way to the pass]"
|"Very happy with 7th place after loosing those positions in the last grand prix. Started from 17th and end of first lap I was 10th due to others having problems. Then other drivers still had more problem and I was 6th, and then I slowed down too much and lost a position near the end, but still, very happy as I said with 7th place points which I need to help me and the team in the standings."|
|"I had computer issues which I was able to fix properly just a day before the race. Understanding the situation I didn't really find much motivation to practise, but I came anyway. Knowing also that there might still be easy points to collect, if I just happen to finish the race.|
I found it very frustrating to just cruise around on very uncompetitive level, but then again this 8th place and 4 points might make a difference end of the year. I tried to push on few occasions, but I always started hitting walls, and also brakes felt a bit odd very early in the race. After finishing I found out I had much higher brake wear than I predicted. I had only 1.52cm left on the front disks, which is way below safe margin."
|"Q: It was a good opportunity for me to be in the top 10 for this race but I didn't got the lap I could in Q1 so an other 14th place for me.|
Warm up: Technical problems for my car and forced to race with the third car. It was a battle against the clock so I forgot my helmet and got Luka's secong one.
R: I knew that there was going to be a drama in first lap so I was more than carefull. But in the swimming pool shicane somebody spun and his car was still going backwards so we made a contact there that could have been avoided. After this I had suspension problem and couldn't get the pace I had on team practise. On lap 29 I had a scary moment in the tunnel avoiding a flying tire! Kept a safe pace for the rest of the race to finish but due to damaged suspension I made a mistake that costed me a 91 seconds pistop. So at the end of the day I made a 9th place finish so 2 first points for me in WC, in a very demanding track.
Congrats to Bono and Fred, they were awesome once again!
And ofcourse to Pat De Witt for pole and podium finish!"

Q1 I had a bad first attempt, but was enough for p3.
Q2 is where the trouble started. During my lap I appeared to be in Someones whisperlist on Team Speak. Over 50% of the lap I had to listen to extremely loud commentary, instead of my own engine. So a good position was simply impossible. But a good lesson learned here.
R: Had a decent start. I think I passed 2 drivers in the first sector. After that Rouault clipped a bugged wall and got launched full into me. Incredible damage and the car was undrivable. Was able to follow Morand and Room dispite the damage, but the car was all over the place with rear wing and side damage. My only change for a podium was to leapfrog those two drivers, but that didn't work out either.
After the pit I was just chasing with a limping car until I touched the wall on the inside and my car got parked.
Big shame, because the pace was there. Had some real good preparation for everything thanks to my engineer. Grats to Bono (ctrl-v from last 7 races) and Fred. Cya in Canada, I believe it's my future favourite track."
|"Q: was 0,1 quicker than bono in Q1 and then going into tunnel I hit track bug witch threw me into wall so no q2 for me.|
R: start was good, was trying to keep clean from crashes but Conti decided to turn into me and cause massive crash after t1. Car was badly damaged and after I had to wait in pits because other driver was repairing his car in same spot as my crew I realy had no motivation to race. Fatal mistake came on lap 20 something where I looked too much into mirrors and and touched the wall.

Q2: 11.6, didn't think I was going to get to Q2 so P7 was very nice.
I took a decent start, almost passing Rouault before slotting in behind him.
Then after T1 it all started to go wrong. Morand lost traction in front of me, so I had to jump on the brakes, causing me to lose control and hit the barrier, causing damage and dropping to about 13th.
There was more contact before Casino where Conti and Tali crashed, with me getting tangled between the wall and them.
After this the car was basicly ruined, but the suspension arms were pretty straight still, I didn't think I needed to make a pitstop.
But then on the rundown to Tabac, I was in Room's slipstream when he suddenly moved left. In front of me I saw Rouault and Dominguez blocking the road after a crash. There was no chance to slow down fast enough and I made massive contact with Dominguez.
The car was now completely destroyed, with the front left suspension requiring a long (67 second) pitstop to repair damage.
I was now a lap down behind everyone in the top 10, but I was still willing to do my own race and see if some people might retire so that I could score a point.
I caught Jaakko and I assumed he would let me unlap myself sooner or later, but it happened sooner than I expected. His braking caught me off guard in to the Harbor chicane, causing me to jump on the brakes to avoid touching him. The rears locked, I was in the barrier and the race was over.
A shame after such a positive qualifying."
|"I was so looking forward to this race as the team had put together a very good car, but on Friday night i fell ill and although i felt a bit better on Sunday anything less than 100% is no way to prepare for 78 laps here.|
Qualified 13th I think and at the start i got through T1 ok, but up the hill it was carnage and I got lucky and managed to get through the smoke unscathed, but later in the lap i exited Nouvelle Chicane into a wall of smoke again and saw a car on the right - i slowed and went left but a Makcorp car was in the smoke and i had no time to avoid it.
I initially though i got lucky as my front wing was still there, but i had to countersteer 45 degrees to keep it straight so i knew the race was effectively over. I tried to keep going for another couple of laps just incase anyone behind dropped out, but they were all going and it made no sense to be a mobile chicane so i pitted into retirement.
Thanks to the guys for putting such a good car together, and damn the person who gave me this virus just when i didnt need it."

About the race, nothing much to say. I avoided some cars after the first corner, but in the second sector Rouault did a mistake and I crashed heavily him, so DNF in the first lap.

R - Race aim was to finish, so I took it conservative. Then wreck before tabac, I braked, suddenly Stephane cruised in front of me and as I was so slow my car stopped immediatly and engine went off.

Was going for a 1 stop, but it turned out I stopped at lap 1. I hit something sticking out of the wall on lap 1, and that was it. Sorry for the guys who were taken out by my crash!"
|"After finally making it to Q2 in Monaco including four years of failed attempts, I was expecting a bit more from the race. Things went relatively smoothly as I was positioned in P9, until Rouault hit a gap in the wall at the exit of Tabac, which resulted in a complete roadblock and end of the race for a number of drivers, including the signed. Shame, but at the end of the day luck is always needed to finish at Monaco."|
