2007-04-01Bahrain Sakhir, Bahrain 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P7P5Comment: "I really had a great race. At the start I was being really carefull, because i had a lot of lag, and didnt want to crash, or crash into someone. So i maintained 7th position. Carefully driving behind David. I went passed him on the straight, as he seemed to have some problems, probably with lag also. Patrick passed me into T1, he came from really far, but I saw him, and backed off naturally, because i didnt wanna crash. Few laps later I got passed him again, and started to pull away, and going towards danny. I knew we were on the same strategy, both stopped in 15th lap. After the pitstop, the gap was less than a second. At one moment i came to close to him, and needed to go off track to avoid hitting him, Darius passed me at that point. I started to gain on Danny again, and passed him eventually. After second pitstop, I got stuck for a few laps behind Joakim, i knew he was on a 2 stop, so he was slower than in laptime, I also passed him with a good fight. Before my last pitstop, David passed me after I made a mistake, and after that I decided to safe my brakes, and just bring the car home. I did bad laptimes last stint, because of it. Maybe in the end not such a good idea, because Spengler was really slow in the end, if i pushed more in my last stint, maybe I couldve had him. But I chose to bring my car home instead of that. I'm really happy with this result in my debut race. And thanks to Roald and GS owners, Pedro and Dethan for giving me this oppertunity to make my debut here at Bahrein. Finally, congratulations to Ondrej, Darius and David for their podium, great drive!!"4View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-04-22Australia Melbourne, Australia 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P12P17Comment: I had a terrible GP. Qualify went so bad, 21.8.. I don't know why I was that slow there. In the race i thought i could make up, cause my pace was really good. But then on formation lap, Marconi hit me from behind. So my car was totalled and I had to start from the pit lane.
after that, the race was pointless really, 40 sec behind the leaders after one lap, and concentration level to zero.. I ran off, and when i came back on track, half a lap later I spun because of dirty tyres.. so.. terrible GP that I want to forget really soon..0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-05-06Spain Catalunya, Spain 2007 Mark AalbertsWC2007P18P12Comment: Mine race started realy bad, i made a jump start so i had to serve a drivetrough penalty. Later on the race it happend again when i exceeded speed limit in the pitlane when i braked to late for the line.

Because of these mistakes the race was pretty much done for me and the only thing left to do was finishing the race and hoping that enough drivers would fail to finish. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-05-06Spain Catalunya, Spain 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P16P11Comment: My qualifying lap was within 0.2 of my best time however that was only good enough for 16th on the grid.

I had a chance to fnish in the points but I wore down my brakes too much for that to happen.

Thanks to GhostSpeed Racing Team for the opportunity to drive in the World Championship.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-05-13Monaco Monte Carlo, Monaco 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P17P7Comment: I was very blessed to finish in the points today thanks to alot of retirements. If I did not make the mistake at the end, I could have gotten 7th. However I'm still very happy to finish in the points and have a FSR WC point to my name!

I would like to thank Ghostspeed Racing and their sponsors for allowing me to race. If Joao Barbosa's pedals had not broken I might not have had this opportunity, so in that way it's a good thing.2View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-05-13Monaco Monte Carlo, Monaco 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P6P18Comment: Really onfurtunate race, couldve been so much better. But monaco has a tendancy to be a lottery. Qualifying went well, p6 my best qualify so im happy with that. At the start I los 2 positions, and got stuck behind Pappalardo, who was so much slower than me. In tabac behind him I had to take a different line, and slid into a stall. Well done to David who won, really brilliant drive. And also good job by the broadcasting people, was brilliant to watch.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-06-24United States Indianapolis, United States 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P9P6Comment: Very blessed by God to finish in the points today. I think I was more on pace here than before though, which I thank Stephane for as he helped alot with setup. At the same time it is a shorter track so laptimes would be closer.

I had a bad start but someone spun and I had to brake and lose more positions from memory, but I was still in clear air after Saxen went off and maybe a few others I cant remember exactly.

Very happy to have been up to third place at one stage, and to get more FSR WC points next to my name!3View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-06-24United States Indianapolis, United States 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P11P12Comment: "First the qualify, I want to congratulate blair my teammate, with a really good qualify result. This time I tried something else in qualify, had enough fuel to do 4 consecutive fast laps, that way I made optimum use out of the laps give to me. Though, it didnt really seem to help me, I was too slow because of the weight. I think next time i'll just do the same as I always did. So I ended up p11, just 8 tenths behind the pole. Unbelievably close. But I knew my pace for the race would be more than ok. I made a really good start, went from p11 to p7 in lap 1. Just got really good off the line, and managed to stay out of trouble. I could follow the pace of peccarelli, but had schmalenbach behind me as well. I overtook peccarelli in the pits, so I drove the whole race in top6/7, and everything was going well. Till the second pitstop, my engine stalled, and the pitcrew didnt work on my car. Because of the delay I lost 7 positions, but managed to take back 2 places. So overall, Im pretty pleased with the pace I showed, I couldve been 6th/7th had I not stalled in the pits, which wouldve been good performance with 18 drivers finished. But next time, I hope I stay out of pit trouble, or
other trouble for that matter. I congratulate Blair with the points scored for our team, well done mate!"0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-07-01France Magny Cours, France 2007 Blair DisleyACE2007P4P2Comment: There was an online FSR session during the week and a few guys were there. Along with the help from Stephane, thanks to Patrick and Gabriel and Luis Fernando for their encouraging comments and also to Patrick who showed his pace their. I was able to see that more top speed and tried lower wings then I currently had and I was now quicker than my previous france times!

So with that all in mind I was able to get a third place since Yannick had a problem or a three stopper. Congrats to Domagoj and Stephane. I think if there was no dirty air effect Domagoj would perhaps have gotten past alot earlier than he did! To start last, with the dirty air effect and finish on the podium is a really great effort!21View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-07-01France Magny Cours, France 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P12P14Comment: As I said in the other thread, there was an online FSR session during the week and a few guys were there. However, for the WC race I thought I would try even lower wings and it was a gamble as it was untested but it was slower. I also used more brake pressure and more brake bias one way and the brakes failed. So, if I had of used my Ace setup, I would have been a bit quicker and perhaps finished in the top8 since some others had some problems.

But it's a lesson learnt/reminder to go with what you know for a race!

Congrats to the top8 finishers.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-07-01France Magny Cours, France 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P10P12Comment: I think this was one of my best races, had it not been for what happened on lap 67. I was really competitive, and one of the fastest guys out there.
My qualify didnt go so bad, i was just 4 tenths behind the pole position, sadly this also meant I was on p10. I screwed up in sector three, lost about 2/3 tenths there. But, the race is long, so no worries. I had a good start, but as normally, its really crowded around p10 on the start. I got by danny. Going into turn 2, saxen steering sharply to the inside, I had to avoid, and then danny hit me in the back and spun me around. So I had to start from p20 all over again. I had some nice overtakings, and a really competitive race. It was the most fun I ever had in FSR. Too bad I couldnt bring any points home, because of schmalenbach driving me off track. I think I really deserved some points this time. Hopefully I have more luck on silverstone.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-07-15Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2007 Blair DisleyACE2007P3P1Comment: My race ended up going very well. I was 3rd but Kasimatis made a mistake and I was able to pass him. I was able to keep up with Gosling, but couldn't pass him. With the WC race, I've been wondering if the dirty air for Silverstone was worse in FSR than it was in F1!

Thankfully I had more fuel onboard, and after the pitstops I was leading the race. I think Kasimatis spun or went off, but also before that time loss, he was ahead of Gosling, maybe he spun too I don't know, but that gave me a big gap to both of them.

Lapchin and Malezic were allocated but didn't turn up, I only thought I had a realistic chance of winning when I knew they weren't there. I'm happy to finish first but I don't know if it's sunk in yet! I know I've said this before but I doubt I'd have this result if I didn't get some setup help from Stephane from the earlier races this season, thankyou!

Thanks for the comments after the race too. Barbosa had a good result to finish 6th after starting last, with the bad dirty air making it even harder to overtake!

At Gab, you rock!25View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-07-15Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P12P7Comment: Blessed that some guys had some problems, and I finished in 8th place! Went deeper than others in the race, and because of the dirty air effect, people could hardly pass.

I made a good start and was 9th I think, some laps later Kunckman went off and I was able to pass him. But he couldn't pass me back because of the dirty air. I believe that perhaps the dirty air effect in FSR is worse than it is in F1.

Went deep into the race with 1st pitstop, Marques came out behind me but couldn't pass. Kolbe couldn't pass Roualt from memory either. Thankfully rFactor had a mistake because my team mate and I pitted on the same lap but had different pit boxes, maybe FSR set it up like that on purpose if possible I don't know.

As I said before, thankyou to Stephane for his help in previous races for setting up the car, and thankyou to Ghostspeed for the opportunity to race and for having Stephane onboard when I joined Ghostspeed.2View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-07-15Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P10P6Comment: My qualify was ok, I made a mistake in s1, so I lost 3 tenths there.. but the rest of the sectors were perfect. still only p10. But, I knew from previous races that didnt mean anything, the race is where you score points. Luckily I could stay out of trouble in first few laps. And climb up to 4th. My strategy wasnt good I think, I didnt check how the tyres would hold, but I noticed my pace didnt improve near the end of the stint. So, obviously next time I would have to do better preperation. Anyway, I managed to get 2 points today and looking at my pace coming into this race, I am just very pleased. hopefully next race better speed. Also great race from Blair, its nice that we can both score points for GhostSpeed.3View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-07-29Germany Nurburgring, Europe 2007 Blair DisleyACE2007P3P1Comment: Thanks for the congrats guys. When Dom spun he waited till it was clear before rejoining the track so it was very clean driving by him there. I know you said the Championship is mine but you've had computer problems and turned up late a few times which has helped me, and others too, score more points.

Congrats Fred and Jao.

I want to say that please always check your pedals, my accelerator was not always going 100% in Silverstone and possibly races before that so yeah, recalibrated them in windows control panel. I didn't push the accelerator all the way down, left a bit like a deadzone[you have to do this in calibration, you can't add deadzone to the full pressed end of the pedal/pot in the game, maybe DXTweaker you can do this and check them there] then press apply. Although I gave away a tiny bit of "throw", but with full throttle it's quicker.

For it to be 100% pressed down on the controller settings screen in rFactor, when you push it, it has to go ALL the way to the top. So if its one of the red bars that is curved at the top, it has to go all the way towards the corner and when it does it goes right at the top, a tincy bit of the red bar goes darker at the top.

I've noticed that if you lean, with fully pressed down pedal, lean/push on it like left or right with your foot and if the red bar comes down at all then recalibrate them.25View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-07-29Germany Nurburgring, Europe 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P11P5Comment: I noticed that most of the front guys had more downforce then me and I used a different setup for the race compared to Ace. De Witt confirmed this with his wings on the forum. The dirty air effect helped me to stay in front of De Witt when we battled.

Blessed that some guys had problems and that moved me up some spots and am very happy to finish 5th in a WC race!

2007-07-29Germany Nurburgring, Europe 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P9P16Comment: A race to forget. After the start, when De Wit bumped into Trinka, I had to avoid the pileup, but I only just hit someone which damaged my car. I think this made my car undrivable, made 1 to many mistakes, and slid into the wall. So, overall, lets just forget this race for me, and celebrate how well Blair did. Congrats on his p5, well done mate!0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-08-19Hungary Hungaroring, Hungary 2007 Blair DisleyACE2007P6P2Comment: I would like to say thankyou again to Jao Barbosa allowing me an easy pass on him.

Glad to be on the podium again. Fred Gosling is closest to me in the Championship who has points next to their name finished behind me although in that race had similar pace so it was helpful to me that he was behind another car during the beginning.

It was also good that Machiel Schonbeck 3 stopped because it meant I could finish in front of him, but he would still be in front of Fred Gosling.

Congrats to Yannick Lapchin and Machiel Schonbeck.21View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-08-19Hungary Hungaroring, Hungary 2007 Joao BarbosaACE2007P7P5Comment: Well qualify start not so well i had a incident just before the start of my last lap and have to start from 7 i think. at the start of the race i pass blair, fred and kaag, but then i was having dificults to get to my pace and was pass by blair. Then Fred gets me and i lost too much time defending from his attacks. After that i was able to rejoin my pace and keep Fred to a small distance. At the end 5 place was the best i could do today, not the funniest races i had the best of it was my fight with Fred, great one mate.

Congratulations to yannick for the win, and blair for another great result10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-08-19Hungary Hungaroring, Hungary 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P15P9Comment: Glad that everything has happened the way it has.

For the future, I need to be quicker in qualifying. Brakes failed with duct 2, but I believe that was because I was not getting enough cooling when behind another car.

The key to pass off the track is to stay out longer than the other cars. That worked for me and I gained positions, but also I gained from incidents not involving myself as well.

I look forward to the remaining Grand Prixs.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-09-02Turkey Istanbul, Turkey 2007 Stephane RouaultACE2007P2P4Comment: I came into this race with no expectations. My practice time was limited, since I had just returned from holidays, and Pedro asked me if I wanted to do this ACE race, in order to get some more practice. I had time to do that, so I did.
I was still improving a lot in the practice session, and ended up pretty high. I could immediately see that the ACE field was heavily packed, and that the competition would be hard. In the first qualifying session, I drove the 4th time, I think. So i was happy with that, at least i'd go through to the second session. In that session I knew I was pretty light, because I was on a 3 stopper, and I managed to get 2nd position, which I had not suspected obviously, so I was pleased.
Then in the race, things were hard. After only a few laps, my tires went bad, so I couldnt really reach the good times. I struggled throughout the race with this problem, and because of this, and a few mistakes I made, I ended up 4th in the race, just outside the podium. Nevertheless, this race proved itself usefull, and provided me with a lot of info for WC. Great win for Fred, who had a great strategy, and thanks for his tips on tyre preservation.15View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-09-02Turkey Istanbul, Turkey 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P8P7Comment: Blessed to finished in 8th and can't complain about that. 2007-09-02Turkey Istanbul, Turkey 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P13P13Comment: I had done the ACE race, and in that race, my fastest lap was a 27,5. But, after the ACE race, my practice laps had been doubled. So I knew I should do better in the WC race.
Qualify was real hard. only a few tenths better, wouldve meant 5 positions difference. So competition is hard, luckily because of penalties, my starting position was 13th. I had a very exciting first lap, in which I gained a lot of positions. I overtook about 4 guys, and was on position 9 after the first lap. Ofcourse my adrenaline was pumping after that, and going into turn 1, I was surprised at the early braking of Klag, and went inside.. ofcourse he didnt expect this, closed the door, and we ended in the gravel. Luckily the cars werent damaged.. but we had to start all over again.
In the first stint, I again overtook about 4 cars.. I knew by then, I had to be lighter than the rest of the cars surrounding me. So after the first stint, my race became kind of lonely, except for the cars I came across during the pitstops.
All in all, it was a fun race to drive, I had a lot of action especially in the beginning, and I finished 2 races in one weekend. So I'm happy with that. My speed wasnt optimum of course, but I didnt expect to gain points, in such a competitive field, with nearly no practice.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-09-09Italy Monza, Italy 2007 Blair DisleyWC2007P16P7Comment: I'm very happy to get 7th position! I did do a PSR race before this one so maybe I was out of rhythm I'm not sure. Maybe because I didn't reboot my computer, I dunno but I'm a little unsure as to why I was so slow in qualifying. I was just as slow in the practise session. I do remember stuffing up the first sector though on both runs into turn one so that didn't help either because I thought that someone took out a brake marker.

I'm just explaining that though, I really am glad to get points from so far back. I know it's more because people dropped out, but in future races I do plan to get qualifying right.2View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2007-09-09Italy Monza, Italy 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P6P15Comment: Im really upset with myself. There was a great oppertunity here for me, and I blew it myself. I did a reasonably good lap in qualify, and it got me 6th place on the grid. I was satisfied with that. Then in the race, the first few laps were chaos. With Yannick going into turn 1, almost hitting the front runners. I saw Patrick sitting in the gravel, and I almost went off myself, but I saved it, and managed to get back on track. After some overtakings, I had 7th position for a long time, after Roy's pitstop I was 6th. I was a lot heavier than the guys in front. But still my pace wasnt even that bad compared to the front runners. I practiced a lot of long stints, and I knew laptimes would only get better. I was on a 1 stop, going untill lap 30. So I can only imagine, where I couldve ended up. On lap 15, I put my foot on the gas in the 2nd chicane, my wheels were on the curb, and then something happened, that didnt happen before ever to me in practice, the car just spun to the right, into the wall. I'm just so mad at myself, that I let this happen, in the future I should stop making these stupid noob mistakes. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

At the start i was able to pass some guys and then stay behing Kaag and try to keep him close but he was faster then me. I had a lot of dificult to get pass the backmarkers today. The second stint was similar to the first one i was running now behind Chris and we run in a pretty similar times, but i was pitting after him so in the second pit stop i went out of the pit just in front of Chris and need to defend of his attack because is tyres were in temp, probably i was a little to agressive in defend...sorry chris. I mantain my 4 place in front of Chris but my engine started to go away and i was losing at about 20 km in the straight,i try to defend to Chris but there was no possiblity to do it. 1 lap after that my engine blow.

Really sorry about it because i could do a great position. Hope next race goes better0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Then by the end of the first lap I was down to 11th I think then was passed more later I think. 2007-09-23Belgium Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P12P8Comment: Qualiify was horrific. I had a good free practice before qualify, ended up 6th, close to top 3. But then in qualify, I made mistakes on both laps. Which caused that I had to start from 12th position. To be honest, I didnt know what to think after this race. The whole race, I sat behind the top7, and I just couldnt get any closer. I looked at my laptimes, and they were shockingly slow, compared to my practice pace. On the other hand, I could still be consistent, so I just tried to still do the best I could throughout the race. I made no big mistakes, and my pitstops both went really smoothly. in the end, I was trying to catch up with Yannick, but again couldnt do good laptimes for some reason. So I just decided to make sure I'd get 8th place. I waited for Blair to pit. He ran a really long 2nd stint. than he came out, lilke 2 sec behind me. With low fuel and fresh tyres. But I knew it was gonna be hard to overtake, If I didnt make any mistakes on strategic points on the track. So I just drove the car home, and collected the point.1View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

I had a bad start then I just didn't turn the car enough on cold tyres and in dirty air I think and went off the road. Hard to pass and also worried about brakes in the dirty air. Thankfully some guys had some problems and I was able to finish back in the points. This was due to the tyre wear, thats what im guessing at least. Im just glad that I had finished the race and that I scored a point. 2007-10-28Brazil Interlagos, Brazil 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P6P4Comment: I'm just so happy. I knew after practice that I had good pace, and the practice paid off in qualify. I managed to get p6. Though I couldve done better on my second lap, cause I was down by 2 tenths. but i screwed up in sector 2. So p6 it was. I had a good start, but eny stalled in front of me, and i only just managed to get around, and I stayed behind patrick. Had a nice fight with him on the first lap. After a few laps, patrick overtook roy, and I was trying to catch him as well. then he pitted in lap 19, so i knew he must be on a 3 stop. Then I just focussed on patrick, but he was already to far away. So after that, it was just about preserving 4th place. I tried to make no mistakes, keep my tyres well, and be consistent in laptimes. I did that throughout the race, even with Saxen pushing me in the end. But he couldnt really get close enough anyway. I'm really happy with this result, my best result so far in WC, and my 3rd point finish in a row. 5View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

P5 after qualification was okej.

P3 in the race, Took P3 already at the start and it feelt very good.
Was faster then Fred even if i was in his dirty air.
I manage to overtake him before my first pitstop and could make a small gap.
Me and Fred enterd the pit on the same lap.
Out on track again, and Fred was much faster then before!
I know he was much lighter then me so he overtook me pretty easy.
Tryed to follow the best i could but made a mistake and lost pretty much time.
The whole 3.rd stint was a fight to catch up to Fred!

Manage to close the cap with 3 laps left. Was side by side down the straight once but Fred brakes later.
Tryed to stress him but a mistake never came.
P3 with 0,3 sec behind the WS ACE Champ :)
Im very happy with P3 and already looking forward to a new season together with GhostSpeed!

Big thanks to Pedro Rodrigues who gave me a shot and belived in me in FSR WS ACE!

2007-11-11Japan Fuji Speedway, Japan 2007 Stephane RouaultWC2007P4P5Comment: What a race!! I fought every single lap for the podium this race. Mostly with kuncman. It was a fair fight, I passed him 3 times.. but every time he managed to get back. twice during the pitstops. I think I lost it with strategy today.
I was already happy to qualify in 4th position, this is my best qualifying result so far. And luckily I managed to keep 4th position after the start. There were some problems at the back of the field, but at the front, it was all okay. Then at the end of the first lap, I got by Kuncman, but he immediately took the spot back on the straight. Then, as i said, i passed him again twice, but on the pitstops he took the spot back. Then something happened I hadnt expected, dodo went 4 or 5 laps longer than me on his 2nd stint, and managed to pass me on re-entry. Though he pushed me off track. After that, I was hunting the 2 guys in front again, but without succes.
This race was so much fun. And I think it was my best race so far. Also it was a very good race for GhostSpeed, position 5 and 6, which gave us p5 in the contructors championship. Well done to Blair for an excellent race. Grats to Bruno for another race win, and looking forward to work with you next year ;).4View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2008-03-30Australia Melbourne, Australia 2008 Bruno MarquesWC2008P2P1Comment: Finally a season that starts well for me!
In qualify 1 it went well, did a safe lap to make sure I would be on q2 then I tried to practice for q2 but had to spend more time having to go out of line then trying to set a time. My mistake, it was next to useless. Then Q2 was not good despite the strong P2, but I am happy that my team mate Stephane did his first pole ever , stunning lap dude :).

Then race start and despite the bad start I was able to go to P1 before Turn 1 and went safely into the turn having no idea what was happening behind me. All my direct opponents had issues and that helped me for the whole race. I was careful all the time, not pushing at all as I had no need. Then before the 1st pit stop I had a pain on my leg muscle, was hard to endure it for an whole hour that was still to go but managed it fortunately.

I'm sorry for Stephane , he could have brought a possible podium on today's race.

Grats to my friend David for his strong 2nd position, not bad for someone who thought of a retirement :P. Also to Sergio for his podium debut.

Also thanks to PSRTV for the broadcast.

See you on Sepang!!10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

But then at the start something went wrong, and I dropped way back. In turn 2, De Wit did a crazy move. He tried to take over me and 3 other guys in this 1 turn. He braked 6 car lengths behind me, and of course then bumped into me, which caused me to go off track, and continue at the back of the pack. Then I overtook Roy, but later in turn 1, he lost it and took me with him into the wall in turn 1. Its just such a big shame. This effectively put a stop to my race.

I just wanna say, well done Bruno. Brilliant drive. "0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Qualify 1 was ok, managed to get into Qualify 2 where I screwed up because my tyres were too cold and lacked some grip. Was lucky to be 5th even.

Race, I did a good getaway but made a mistake after trying to pass Ernesto who was right in front of me. Being 6th at the end of lap 1 wasn't something I was thinking about and worst was the fact my tyres were too cold and due to slow pace by the drivers in front I had problems to warm them to ideal temperatures. After some laps I was finally able to push, and benefited from 2 mistake of Danny and Petter to overtake them. From then on my race really started , tyres were fully operational and I could push as I pleased. When I saw Roy and Ernesto pitting so early I knew I had my race almost won as Roy got stuck behind traffic and lost a lot of time there. I could take it easily from then and come home with a win.10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2008-04-13Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2008 Stephane RouaultWC2008P13P7Comment: This was one of the most difficult races i've done so far. Qualification was just so bad. I couldnt even make it into Q2. I just couldnt do a good lap. And because the field is so close, I ended up in p15. Due to some penalties I started on p13 on the grid, after a start with too much wheelspin, I ended up on p8 after lap one. Following the drivers from p4 on, reasonably easy. I started saving fuel early on cause there was no way to pass. The saterday before the race I was struck down with the flu, so during the race I found it hard to concentrate. I lost the car once, not losing too much time tho. I did lose a position however, and due to loss of momentum I lost another 2 positions to lapchin and kuncman. However I knew that my strategy would pay out in better position after the stops. I went on to lap 22 for my pitstop, and came back in front of lapchin again, and just behind kuncman. One lap later though I got hit behind from Lapchin and got demoted back to p15, where I was stuck all the way onto my 2nd pitstop behind schmalenbach. I passed schmalenbach in turn 3, before entering the pits on the same lap. Because I again saved a lot of fuel being stuck behind a slower contender I could go on longer again, and managed to get back on track in p8. After lapchin spun, I was on p7. Trinka then overtook me, as he had much higher topspeed, although a few laps later he retired due to engine failure. I was then happy I didnt overstress my engine to that degree. Schmalenbach and I had a great fight untill the end, touching here and there, but never unfair. He almost made me spin once, but he let me by again, which I thought was very fair. So I ended in p7, which after my retarded qualification I was very happy about. Well done again to Bruno for bringing home another win to GhostSpeed.2View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

On Qualify 1 I did a reasonable lap, just wanted to make sure I was on Qualify 2. On Qualify 2, I did a very good lap personally, so congratulations to Roy who managed to do pole, we were close ... a good race was to come.

On Race I managed to do a very good start unlike what happened back on Sepang, and took 1st place before turn1 and it was vital to my chances to win, as I was going to stop earlier than Roy. I built a good gap before my pit stop which marginally was enough to hold the lead after Roy's pit stop. Again I managed to build a gap , this time bigger one as I had a flawless stint and Roy made a couple of mistakes. After 2nd pitstop, I was trying to mantain the difference between us until he crashed. Quite a shame...

I was just glad to get through Q1, as what happend in Sepang still was fresh in my mind. But I got through it fortunately. Then on Q2, my lap was just terrible, made too many mistakes.
My start again was horrible, too much wheel spin and forgot the pit limiter again, allthough not as bad as in Melbourne. I went through on p12 on the first lap. I just decided to stay calm and go as fast as I could. I managed to overtake some people. Then after my pitstop, Ernesto was right behind me and he constantly was between 1-3 sec until the end of the race, which was hard. cause one mistake and I would lose the position for sure. Qualify 1 was pretty much what I expected , I wasn't as competitve as before, but qualify 2 came as a bit surprising, as the car felt so unstable I couldn't believe it. So I started from 5th thanks to the 2 ash cars who had penalties. Thankfully my start helped me to jump into 2nd place and the overtake on Ondrej later helped me to win this race. Qual was very bad, dident find the pace and made alot of mistakes in the last chikane.. And that only made me more nervous every time i was going to entre it....
Well, P5 in Q2 is okej, even if i know my pole time in Ace was fast enough for Pole here, and for this qual session i used less fuel....

The race was pretty solid, just kept the car on track and tryed to score as many points as posible.. First stint i felt like i maybe had the speed to challenge Stephane, But i decided to not try anything and just help the team so i backed of 1-2 sec so i got out from his air...

Best fight for me during this race was the fight with De Wit in the first stint.
Side by side and position changes for 2-3 laps.. Fair and we gave each other enough room at all time! Thx for a great fight Pat! :))

2 corners from finish i got a brake faliure, and almost sjit my pants when i was going to brake for the last chikane. But it worked out and a great result for me and the team!

2008-08-31Spain Valencia, Europe 2008 Bruno MarquesWC2008P3P1Comment: I have to admit I was already getting thirsty for wins, after relaxing a bit .. I tried to win in Hungary but luck wanted nothing with me, just the bad one.
I didn't have that much time to prepare Valencia as conviniently as I did for Hungary but all went well, was very quick to find a good pace on a track I didn't know at all.

On the qualify it didn't go as well as expected, the car was pretty stable but lacked some crucial pace that it had in practice. Not really sure why, so I wasn't happy with just 3rd place. The start didn't go that well either, managed to pass Yannick on t2 fortunately. Then I spent all race pushing to the maximum to catch and overtake Patrick who did a very good race. Managed to get him with half race to go still but overtaking was another story. I could only hope he had more agressive race setup than me and knowing this track, I was hoping he would get brake problems which he did. After that was just bringing car home.

About Roy .. I'm either sorry and not sorry, Sorry because we can't continue our fight for title ... but happy you got a job which is very important obviously, good luck man ;)

See you in Spa, can't wait.10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2009-04-05Australia Melbourne, Australia Rickard HellstenWC2009P7P17Comment: I was chasing Lee Morris for P3, he was right infront of me, pitted on the same lap. And Ofc we had the same pitbox.

Frustration during the whole 2nd stint, pushed the car the hardest i could. Disley had bad tyres, but good top speed.
I lost 2 sec behind him in 1 lap, So De Wit catched me and overtook me.

And i made a error in S3 and spun it into the wall..

Really frustrating, but let hope for a better end in Malaysia!

2009-09-05Spain Valencia, Europe Clayton NelmesPRO2009P9P14Comment: Qualifying was bad, but i had it coming because i opted to use brake duct 7 to finish the race, because i knew brakes were going to be a problem here. In the race i was racing in about 8th and 7th positions, the last 15 laps came in for my final pitstop, i was in 6th and i tapped the wall due to lag and it smahed me into the walls, which lost my back and front wings, and i would of finished 4th easily due to late retirements. So im really pissed off. It's now 4 races in a row ive missed out on a top 5 results... It has to end now, hopefully i can just finish at Monza...1View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2009-10-25Canada Montreal, Canada Karim WezenbergACE2009P2P4Comment: Was a bit frustrated as i got little sleep before joining the server but was just focusing on doing a solid job and did decent pracice for this track. Did a 13.4 in q1, 2-3 tenth's off my pb, but it was enough for P1 in Q1 which was quite surprising. Yet i know that Q1 isn't practiced by most really.
Q2 was dissapointing, was nearing the end of session and i didnt put a time yet and my first try wasn't good enough so had to do another lap wearing my tyres more and p2 with 14.7 which wasn't good enough considering my fuel amount and was fearing that my racepace wouldnt be as strong as it had been in testing.

My thoughts where confirmed in the race as i just struggled rlly and i didn't feel 100% comfortable with the grip, especially the first stint, although in Pro people seemed to struggle the first stint aswell here. But the pace just wasn't good enough and was slightly holding up Fred who was actually heavier than me. The grip was so much worse as in testing and i knew from then the podium would be difficult. I have been able to make a steady improvement race by race, but i was hoping for a bit more here. Still feeling im heavier on engine than others and was basically running boost 4 from the middle of the race. B5 for the last stint as i knew that passing Domagoj would be difficult. He mentioned his brakes where failing right before the finish but he had it under control it seems. Grats to Karol/podium and everyone who finished!15View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2010-04-04Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2011 David GrecoWC2010P4P6Comment: Well, nothing much to say, obviously our team cannot develop properly a setup for this car. As the competition is very tough, I hardly expect to make some podiums at the most, maybe in my favourite tracks.
Now China, one of my worst track ever. Doesn't suit my style at all.8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2010-04-04Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2011 Mickael TalocWC2010P12P14Comment: It was my first race since 2007 here and I was very happy to participate in WC. Thanks to Pedro Rodrigues for his confidence to replace Laurent Keersmaekers.

Qualifying session : I did my PB even if I didn't practice much this aspect. I was surprised by the level, I started only 12th.

Race : My strategy was 1 stop but I knew that the start would be crucial. II made a mistake and let Boost 1 for the start => from 12th to 16th. Then I followed a group of drivers who were fighting hard. I lost many times behind them and the lack of habits with slipstream and drag on this mod was fatal, I was unable to reach my "normal" pace and overtake them.
I wait for their pit stop to drive more comfortably but my stint was a little too long and I pit 1 or 2 laps too late. My second stint was much better with consistency but I felt that my expectations (1 point) was flying away when Poniatowski and Puumalainen overtook me.
Finally I tried to finish, knowing I had no point today.

I didn't feel to make a bad race but simply the level was too high today to be able to get a point. Thanks to everyone for the fair play, it was really a clean race !

I would like to thank my teammate David for his help concerning setup, and congratulations to PM for their Top3, really impressive. I hope GS could strike back during the season.

And my level is worse then before LOL. but after being best of the rest in Pre Q. i did start from P1. Did a very good start and first lap was no problem. But in the last coner i made a mistake and Sami could overtake me very easy on the strait. i did follow him a couple of laps. till he made a mistake and then the only thing he could do was atack a few times.

After 11 laps i made y first stop and i was still in front of Sami. I didnt push to much because i just wanted to finish. Sami made some little mistakes so he never come close. Finished the race on P1. so iam happy with that. but still lots to improve to get more in front and make it to Grid 1. 10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Just a bit optimistic in the overtake on me, if I didnt open as I did, the outcome would have been different. Nevertheless, amazing pace, well done. As for my race, I basically raced really in bad shape, cramps since the first laps, I couldn't push as much as I wanted, but I don't think I would have won against Bono, maybe a smaller gap, thats it. Last few laps were incredible with Ronny, I had no rear grip anymore, and my tyres were spinning in 3rd gear! Race: Kept 7th at the start, then passed Prevot, Morris and Nilsson. to be P4. I let Nilsson go to save some boost in his slipstream as I knew I'd need it later. Let go Poniatowski also but surprisingly after my pitstop I rejoined ahead, and had the best tyres due to stopping rather late.
From then on it was about bringing it home, it got a bit close with Karol in the end. I think P5 was the max result, could have easily been worse with a worse qualy.

2010-06-06Canada Montreal, Canada 2011 Lukas EulerWC2010P17P8Comment: I was a bit off pace in Q, so I only started from P17, quite disappointing at that point. Also first stint was not perfect either as I had one front-wing too much and my car was very oversteery and twitchy, but I was able to overtake some guys and stay calm. My plan was to make a early stop to be able to put the hammer down afterwards and obertake some guys. This all worked fine and finally I was on P8. The last 20laps John-Eric Saxen made up ground very strong and it was tough task for me to not make any mistakes. In the penultimate lap his brakes went and I was able to slow a bit and secure 8th place. In the end, I am happy with points in a WC race and I want to thank Pedro and Phil for giving me the opportunity.4View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

R: Good a decent race start managed to stay out of problems, lost 2 places. But in the first few laps i managed to overtake 2 drivers and due to a accident after some laps i was suddenly 3th or 4th in the race. But then i got some troubles with Philips and Gosbee who where pushing me a bit. THen Gosbee braked to late and touched me on the rear causing me to spin and got stuck on the curb as well. Lost many places so had to fight back from 13th position. After a long race i overtook some and also due to some good strategie i found myself back fighting for 4th in the final stage of the race, managed to catch Gosbee again, and due to some conection failures i was suddenly 2nd. But it wasnt ment to be because i gave my 2nd away with just half a lap to go, got some wheelspin on the exit at the bridge and clipped the wall. So finished 6th in the end wich is still ok, but could have been so much better, mayby even a victory. But as they say so often, to finish 1st you first have to finish :P20View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Race:
The opening laps were not very good, a few cars passed me and I was P15. Slowly fought my way back up. Nothing much to say though, I chose a clever strategy and had good tyres in the end, but it wasn't enough to stay ahead of Puumalainen and Greco.
As usual I struggled a lot under braking, it's basically a Mod issue that all the "last generation drivers" can't really seem to get used to. That's why we're so slow. :)
I had fun though, and that's why I'm driving this year, with rather few practice laps. I know my consistency is always enough to score a top 10, if everything goes well.1View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

About race, didn't made a good start but was really fun and interesting to fight with other drivers in first laps.
Lap13, lag killed my race: when i was fighting with Agustin Canapino, i braked too late after a big mistake but had clarely no contact with Agustin's car on my replay. But he lost control of his car ( because of the lag i think) and we had a contact who broke my front wing and the front left suspension.
After pitting, car was more than 1 sec slower because of the problems. Had some nice fights and lap 31, contact with Morgan (because of his pc problem) finished my race but np for that as my race was ruined since lap13.

Driving WC today was a really good experience but unluckily lag ruined my race.

2010-08-22Belgium Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium 2011 Dennis HirrleWC2010P2P2Comment: Qual: 1:43.5 (P2)
Race: P2

Not so many laps for this one compared to Hungary, and only made the setup with race fuel, I realized I was struggling for qualifying so two hours before the race I changed my setup allowing me to go half a second faster on low fuel and the 1:43.5 was enough for P2, extremely happy with that.
I had no idea how the setup would feel in the race, it was okay then but very slippery in Eau Rouge and it almost put me out of the race two times there.

Other than that, no major issues. Same race as in Hungary pretty much. Bono wasn't that much faster, again, but a little bit is enough.
So I concentrated on bringing P2 home, and although my second stint was quite bad for some reason (never tested it) I finished second without any troubles.
Quite a tactical race this one, I let Prevot pass me to save some fuel and engine behind him, but it wasn't necessary in the end. I had 10L too much and some engine left as well, but safe is safe.
P2 is a really nice result.

Congrats to Bono and Mikko.18View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Fighting with a somewhat slow Lee Morris meant losing connection to the leaders, and that was it. From there it only went backwards. I suffered some damage in the early stages on the rear of the car but I wasn't aware of it, so my pitstop was 9 instead of 3 seconds. Being too fast in the pitlane meant a drive thru penalty, and that was it. P11.

Qualify was poor, with a 1.21.5 I was way off my PB. Probably to do with the fact I was too nervous.

I knew my race pace was good tho. And it showed I could follow the guys in front quite well. Had a fight with De Wit. Which was good, but we lost too much time compared to the guys in front, because of the fight.
Then in lap 10 he pushed me in the grass, right when I was braking. So I spun, and that was it! 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

R: Yesterday I wasnt feeling very confident in the car. But my pace was much better today, because I was pushing pretty much to the limits. Figured that I was driving this track the wrong way, so changed a bit in my driving style. Although I was lacking practice on a 1-stop strategy my first stint went pretty consistant. Only after pitstop I was struggling with my car. Didn't feel very confident after the pitstop, because I didn't know exactly how the car would behave.

After Marques passed me, I figured there was not much to lose, so I tried the car doing consistant 32.mids on a one stop strategy. This is a huge confidence boost for next race, because the absolute pace is there if I handle the car right.

conclusion: Although I really thought this race would be a big letdown for me, it turned out to be the best race in my career. Thanks again to the whole Twister team and Ghostspeed for giving me the opportunity to drive in WC this race.

Congrats to Bono and PMo!

I never seriously tested Qual, so P7 was the result. But I knew my race pace was pretty good, combined with some experience, tactics and not making mistakes, a podium was always the target, and I achieved that.
First stint was a bit of a struggle, but I was on target with my laptimes. After the pitstop the car felt much better and was a delight to drive, as expected, but for some unknown reason my laptimes were about 0.3-0.4 slower each lap compared to testing, despite pushing hard trying to win the race.
Jaakko and I had the exact same pace in this race but he got his gap in the opening laps, and it was not possible to catch him.
Happy with P2 though, and happy about definitely having transformed from the biggest tyre eater towards the biggest tyre saver in the field, which got me those three 2nd places.

R I dunno really what's up this year. Bad luck is striking me down every time. I was having some pc issues here in Turkey with a so far unknown reason.
Race T1 I had a lag and spun, after that recovering, I was already on P13 looking good for grabbing some points still, when my pc froze.
Although I already tried to get this through I want to again say sorry to Ernesto, who I touched in my way to optimistic and really stupid move. I'm really really sorry for that.

@Simon and the video. Not much to report from me. Had some fights in the first 18laps, I think there could be one to look in, but nothing really spectacular in my view.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

R: My start was quite good. I gained some positions and then I gave good fights with some drivers. In the middle of the race I made my 1 and only pit stop and I accidently stole my engine! My team then restored the engine but I lost valuable time there. Then Ben Phillips made an error and we had a fight for a few laps. In lap 35 we had a hard moment as he changed his line to late so I had to react real fast there to protect my race. Last laps of the race I had the 2 stopper Allar Foht behind me. In 55th lap I was too busy talking with my team on radio and I spun the car in last corner and my race ended in this way.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

R Start was ver tough in T2 the people were crossing my line from right and left. I was very passive, but some people really think, Lap 1 is the Lap. Some unneccesary contacts and also some lagging. In Lap 2 they were suddenly standing in front of me and I crashed into them and lost FW. Deja Vu. Carried the car a whole lap around and got in the pits to repair. I still did nit give up, as you nenver know what happens. I got closer to the people in front of my by about 20 seconds, but I was still behind when I PC crashed.

All in all another bad weekend.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Now happy with this position but it was a step forward.

R: At the start I got the inside with many drivers battling for position. Finally I gain one or two positions I think in the first lap. Then I knew I had the pace to catch up with others so I was patient. Two drivers made a collision in T2 and I had to go on the grass to avoid them. In lap number 34, Poniatowski made a spin just in front of me and I had less than 1 meter to avoid the collision there, as I did! Final laps was a battle for 14th place with P de Witt. As in revious races we had a hard fight out there but in final lap I made a late brake to have a chance for the position but I found myself on Patrick's rear wing, fortunatelly without any damage to him, so I let him take this place easy! This race was a step forward for me as I had close the gap between the middle drivers and I didn't got a lap on my back from the leaders. He have small targets race by race and untill now we have done a great job for the practise we had. Next time better!0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

quallyfied almost at the back, and when we were done with the formation lap and the lights started to go on one by one, they didnt go out again, so that caught me out a bit, as well as some others, so I was 2nd last, after the first couple of corners, but people in front started to go off so I got some places that way, but about 10 laps in I spun out and lost the front wing, limped back to the pits, but the pitstop took 53 sek. ?, maby I wassent lined up right for the pit box?, got back out again now alredy 1lap down, and started to drive my own pace again, but again I spun and lost the front wing, got to the pits, but this time it only took about 15 sek., got back on track just to spin out again!, got back to the pit, new front wing and back out, now with damaged front suspension on both sides, damage on both sidepots and slight damage to the difuser, but the car was still running so I soldiered on, but again, now a bit over half way, I spun again!, but this time I think the game desided I had had enugh bad luck so I didnt get any more damage, luckely
so the last part of the race I was only racing myself, a bit boring, but it got a bit exiting at the end when the leader blew his engine 7 laps from the end and I was 6 laps down, but I managed to survive and take 7th at the end, phew 20View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Warm up: Technical problems for my car and forced to race with the third car. It was a battle against the clock so I forgot my helmet and got Luka's secong one.

R: I knew that there was going to be a drama in first lap so I was more than carefull. But in the swimming pool shicane somebody spun and his car was still going backwards so we made a contact there that could have been avoided. After this I had suspension problem and couldn't get the pace I had on team practise. On lap 29 I had a scary moment in the tunnel avoiding a flying tire! Kept a safe pace for the rest of the race to finish but due to damaged suspension I made a mistake that costed me a 91 seconds pistop. So at the end of the day I made a 9th place finish so 2 first points for me in WC, in a very demanding track.

Then Morgan Morand made an uncharacteristic move cutting the track and drove into my racing line in the middle of the 1st lap. A very dangerous move by him and then he made a stop, guessing a stop&go penalty cause cutting the track. So, P6 again behing De Matos. 2011-09-18Italy Monza, Italy 2011 John-Eric SaxenWC2011P14P13Comment: Not the race I was expecting from Monza. I felt a lack of confidence under braking, especially into turn 1, causing problems both in the qualifying and in the race.

I was reasonably happy with my first stint, managing to make up some ground, foremost passing both Twister-Racing cars at the same time on lap 16. The progress, however, stopped when I got stuck behind Lee for what seemed like an eternity. I got my car ahead a couple of times but he always passed me on the following straight, so clearly I failed to make the final decisive move.

After the pit stops things settled down as I was catching the top, spun once, but re-overtook the Twister cars again after their accident. At this point it was, however, too late, as the brakes had taken a too large beating from the earlier battles. Thanks to GhostSpeed for their support, hopefully this was the first and last silly retirement of the season.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

After finally making a good Q1 and somewhat less good Q2 I was in a reasonable position, but running slightly wide on the kerb of Degner 1 made the car lose some speed and thus Room to hit my rear, in turn causing him to spin and hit me again. After an extra pit stop I was driving on the limits in order to catch the 40 second deficit to the last point position, and it didn't pay off well.

Hopefully the final races will bring some safe finishes and more points after a few weak races.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2011-10-23United Arab Emirates Yas Marina, UAE 2011 John-Eric SaxenWC2011P7P7Comment: Happy to get some points after a few difficult rounds. I was a bit too careful at the start and lost positions to the GT Omega cars. My plan was to overtake cars during the pit stops, knowing I had the option to pit earlier with low tire wear. This, however, backfired when Kostadinov's pace started to drop massively, leaving me as a sitting duck behind him for several laps until I eventually made the pass.

Due to this time loss I failed to catch Room for the pit stop, and later had a hairy moment when Gosbee spun in front of me on lap 26. During the remaining 30 laps Room drove very well, so I failed to reach overtaking distance, but nevertheless I am still quite happy with my pace here which was much better than last year.6View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Hirrle was faster than me and I made a few mistakes so he got past me, not long before pit stops my gap to Hirrle was 3 seconds but I then half spun and took a trek on the grass losing 4 seconds or so, after coming out the pits I instantly had a battle with Saxen and I got past at T1 which was surprising seeing PM's pace, nearing the end I had like a 6 lap battle with Morand with a bit of contact happening, I managed to get past him in the end, but with 5 laps to go I half spun on a corner I had no issues with and lost f.wing and major damage to suspension. 37 sec pit stop put me 11 seconds of De Matos and I finished with 5 seconds away from him, shame I had that crash as I would of had the best result for GS in WC this year. 2011-11-06Brazil Interlagos, Brazil 2011 John-Eric SaxenWC2011P9P6Comment: Ah well, this was a good finish to an ordinary season except for a few highlights. I had massive problems getting anything out of the car setup on this track, so it was a pleasant surprise to keep up with the top pace in the first stint. I had some nice battle with Morand in the opening laps, but besides that my race was rather boring.
I pitted a couple of laps too early to jump Gosbee, which turned out to be a wrong decision, as I was losing plentiful of time in stint 2 and Gosbee came flying past me. Shame that he had to retire in the closing stages as he was really quick today, but at least there was some points scored to GhostSpeed, and thanks to Pedro for letting me drive there the last couple of races.
Hopefully new season brings much needed resurrection with new simulator(?) and everything.8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2012-04-08Australia Melbourne, Australia 2013 Jim ParisisWC2012P10P23Comment: Q1: This session was hard to find clear air to do a hotlap.
I made an ok lap and I got 10th place.

Q2: I wanted a clean lap but after T1 sonehow the front left tyre touched the grass and... boom

Race: After a very careful start, I lost a place so I was 11th.
Lap 1 was ok, I wanted to see what other drivers will do and they did a mistake taking two cars out just infront of me. I got 9th place and in the last left hander corner, the guy infront lost his brake point, so I was more careful there. But the NetRex driver behind me tried to overtake me from the outside. On the exit of that corner, I kept my line and I left much room to him for his car, but he just drove on me. He spun me, I hitted the wall and that was it.
I'm speechless after this0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2012-04-08Australia Melbourne, Australia 2013 Giorgos ManousakisWC2012P23P21Comment: A race that i want to forget that ever happened. My Q1 was not what i had in mind. I had time to be in the top 10 but from my mistakes i was far away from my times. So starting from P23 was not the best way to start my first FSR race. The red lights is out and the only thing i had in mind was to stay out of trouble. My race pace was good and i was feeling the car very well. In a few laps i was allready in P16. Hard breaking in T8 to prevent a crash to the very early breaking of the driver in front of me and out of the track with a los of +3 seconds. After that i was begging to find my pace and i was closing to the guys in front very fast. A stupid mistake in T4 brought the end of the race for me and i was very disappointed cause i had the pace to get probably in the top 10. Anyway things like that happens so eyes at front and looking forward for some "payback" in Malaisia.

Since its the first time that i am making a comment here i want to say that i am happy to be here and "fighting" with the big boys.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q2: I wanted a clean lap first of all and in the end it was both clean and fast.
Very happy about this 3rd place.

R: I was very careful in first 2 laps, I lost 2-3 places I think, cause I had in mind that I want to finish in this race. I noticed in 2nd or 3rd lap that I had tyre wear from Q2, I didn't know that, so I had to be very gentle with tyres in whole first stint. De Wit made my life a lot harder but was nice to battle with him as always. I had many side by side moves with many drivers, whole first and secong stint was full of fights for me! After my first pitstop I knew I could fight back the field and so I did, having hard fights overtaking Konstadinov in pits and finally finished in 5th. Me and my teamate George made a nice job in testing, unfortunately working better only for me this time. Congrats to all who finished the race!10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

In Q1 i had a pace that gould bring me in P11-P14 but my laps was not my best. At race i was very carrefull on the first laps but after lap 2 i was fighting for 16th position until Lap 8. I was very close on the car at front at T14 and ready for overtake at the end of the straight but i went on throttle to early and to hard. Lost the rear end and crash on the wall. Again stupid mistake from me brought the end of my race. Nothing more to say.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q2: 4th position after a clean lap was very good once again.

R: I made a nice start, then PM cars boosted :D
I managed to take 3rd position in T1 and keep up with the 2 front runners as they were fighting a liitle bit. Then a silly silly mistake on last turn, made me lost a place to Mikkonen and start fighting with him and Tali for 3rd position. I passed Mikkonen again for 3rd as Tali did so. Then I made some good defending against Tali for 3-4 laps, but in lap 13, in T1 while I had the inside line, Tali had the outside, we made contact, he spun and I kept the car really hard on track not to spin too. Tali was pointing the apex like I wasn't there at all in that point but I guess this is what I have to expect fighting for highier positions infront. Then my first stop was a disaster. First I missed the last right hander corner, losing 3rd position again by Mikkonen, but in the turn for the pitlane, Mikkonen made a Lewis Hamilton and I passed him back! :P
But I missed for some meters the speed limiter and got a nice drive through penalty finding myself back in 13th place i think. Only thing i had in mind there was to finish the race, not to push. Although I had a hard battle with Masciulli in lap 22 or 23 i think when i overtook him in T1-T2. After that I overtook Philipp in lap 33 and managed to come infront of De Wit after my last stop. That was it, a 7th place in a track that doesn't like me!0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Race: I managed to gain some positions at the start of the race, but i had to give everything back, cause of the crash at T2. I was from the outside and i had no space to go except of the gravel off the track, to avoid the collision. So 26th, and start to push. Best moments of my race was at Lap2 and Lap5.

Lap2: at the back straight. Disley was trying to pass Dion and i was right behind them. Dion keep the left line, Disley choose the right line and i pass them both from the middle :P

Lap5: I passed Disley at T1 from the outside keeping and eye to the mirror for Disley to let him room to turn if he tryied to counterattack me.

All in all from P26 from T2 at the first lap to P15 at the end i was happy with the result.
See you all in next track. Allways a pleasure racing with you guys.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q2: The lap was a disaster. But with some mistakes from other drivers I found myself in 6th position on the grid.

I survived somehow the fist laps, with some drivers trying to gain some advantance in these first laps. De Wit passes me right away when the lights went out, then I tried to defend to Nilsson and we made contact that almost make me spin. Then in T4 Keithley got the inside with a late move, and having Vandoorne infront with no front wing, was a nightmare :P
After all I was in 7th after lap 1 and I was holding my position, just driving around the circuit. In lap 18 unfortunately, while I had my normal line for that turn, the car crashed on the wall...
I really was caught by surprise there, didn't expect that at all...
No excuses ofc, this is Monaco..

Race:I was not trying to gain any positions at the start. Just avoid accidents. It went well and gain one position.I was keeping close to the guys in front of me with no problem. Some time in the first stint i had a problem with my steering wheel and i lost some seconds. After the second pit stop i was behind Saxen at P10 about 5 seconds. Started to closing the gap until 55 lap that i was less than 2 seconds behind him. And then at T1 the car just snap. I dont understand why this is happening with this mod really. One minute you feel the car ok and the next its like driving in oil. Anyway i went to pit for repair and i hope i didnt get to much in the way of Bono on the way to the pits. Sorry if i did mate. I was strugling to keep it on the road. I even hit it on the barriers on purpose at the last turn before the pit entry, when you passed me, to keep it away from you, cause i couldnt brake at all. I get in the pits and i made mistake on the fuel. I wanted to add some more fuel and medium tyre so i can make it to the end. And in that big frustration with the mistake on the track and in the pits i called it game over.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2012-06-03Canada Montreal, Canada 2012 Philipp PuschkeWC2012P13P18Comment: Q1 was not really good wasnt able to get a lap together so p13
My start was pretty ok but in the first chicane I had to go over the gras and lose 2 positions to p14. Down to the hairpin kanitz and varga made contact which allowed me to gain one position up to p13. Then on the straight I had a great double slipstream but unfortunaly I was caugt out by the closing speed and I braked way to early nearly causing a accident. Sorry!
In lap 3 out of the hairpin lapchin had a messy exit so that I was able to have a go and do a outside pass into t1.
In lap 5 Morgan had a go on me into the hairpin but I used the slipstream on the straight to repass him for the moment. Then in lap 8 I had a go on varga on the straight and was finally on his side into t1 but unfortunaly we made contact and I had to go over the gras. In lap 11 I had a go again and somehow I had no space left so I had to take a shortcut again to avoid any further contact. From there on my race was pretty lonely and I was satisfied being in top10 before my brakes decided to fail once again in lap 54 and I decided to retire the car to cause no further danger on track with no front brakes.

2012-06-17Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2012 Morgan MorandWC2012P3P2Comment: here we go for the 6th race.

I switched from ATR to Ghostspeed caused by bad atmosphere in the previous team.

Q1 : I made one good Q1 lap, enough to pass in Q2. the 6min left was to be familiar with Q2 setup.

Q2 : I made a good S1, but in the chicane in S2 i blocked the brakes and miss the apex. I lost a lot of time here. The S3 was not bad but i loose too much time on S2 where my setup was good.

Race :

I made a really good start. I was flying.
The first stint was really good, with good battle with bono, but i know ATR was on 3 stops strategy and the battle coasts me time. the ATR guys were only at 2s behind me.
So i switched from 4 to 3 stops strategy because i hold bono, hoping he will loose time in traffic. but he lost zero.
And i lost too much time with bad tyres. battle with Brjlak didn't help me, loosing 2/2.5s in 2 laps.
In his last pitstop, bono huis came back in track just in my gearbox. With 4 laps old tyres i could not do anything. When he overtook me, i knew it was finished and i keep the car ok to reach the finish line.
nice win bono, it was a great battle :)

2nd is a great result for Ghostspeed, with Jim, my friend and teammate, who finished 6th
Thanks to pedro to give me the opportunity to drive sunday with his team.

Race > I made a good start passing Room in T1. He passes me right back with a nice and clean move. Then Brljak and De Wit were just behind me fighting hard and I was scared that they're gonna take me out on some weird braking they did. Lap 2 I'm trying a move from the outside on Room but he defended well there. And immidiately I had De Wit trying a move on me while I was braking early to avoid collision with Room. His move doesn't stick. Lap 3 and Brljak takes the inside line and goes wide on the exit leaving me no room... And then once again De Wit trying a scary move that doesn't stick. Lap 5, I'm behind Brljak and I;m trying a move from the inside where I know that I have better braking than him (saw it on the previous laps). But he closes the door hard, driving his car too early on apex just to hit me... very bad move by him there...
I'm having half a spin, losing 2 more positions. Lap 9 I'm behind Varga and overtake him, but he fought back on next corner and we are side by side, Greco is gaining advantance and tries to gain positions but he hits me from behind. Lap 9 and I'm getting into the pits early to avoid the traffic. Rejoining in 17th! From lap 18th I knew that me and Tali were on same strategy and he was just 3-4 seconds behind me. This was my target, to finish infront of Tali. Lap 39 I'm passing Brljak for 7th. Last stop on lap 42 and I'm rejoining in 6th! All the hard work through the race paid off! Now I had to keep Tali behind me for another 10 laps. And so I did taking 6th place.

Congrats to Huis and my teamate Morgan for 2nd!8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q2 : The S1 was ok, I lost a lot of time in S2, where i missed the apex in the right corner after the chicane. Finish P2 with 0.020s gap with huis.

Race : I made a correct start. still P2, starting with a 5 stops strategy.
I was able to follow with ease bono during the first stint.
Unfortunaly, during lap 6, i had 2 back to desktop in a row... which costed me at least 7/8s and i was behind Jeffrey. Even with a better car, i could not overtake him. so i pit 1 lap earlier.
I expected Bono to be on 5 stops, his was quite ok, i began to gave up, the pace he had was very quick. but he pit in lap20... 2 laps earlier than me. I began to understand he was on 6 stops, so i began to push like a hell, making 1.18.4 with 12laps fuel. I maintain a fictive 4s gap between me and huis. I struggle a lot with backmarkers, leaving me pass only after one complete lap, mainly in the last 25 laps.
After our final pitstop, Me and bono were very close. I struggle a little with the tyre during the middle of my stint, allowed bono to attack me.
It was a good battle for me, a bit rough, but correct.
I finished the race 1st, my 3rd victory in FSR :)

He braked very late and turning his car on mine before the apex! I don't know why drivers keep doing that.. I really think FSR should see this kind of driving and not allow to some of them to drive.. After that I was for two whole stints behind Varga, who was cutting in the 3rd turn from the end many times and gaining time there. Lap 23 in the pits I almost stall the engine on exit! Some crusual seconds lost there and I'm behind Varga again. Lap 35 and I'm exiting pitlane after my 3rd stop finally infront of Varga and keeping the position easy. Lap 38 and I'm passing Masculli in T1 but he fights back on the exit. But in T2 I make it stick from the inside. Nice racing there with Eros! Lap 39 same move on Disley and I'm getting 6th position! Lap 47 and I'm exiting pitlane again side by side with De Wit! T2 and I'm getting the position from the outside this time!!! Then I drove to the finish keeping 6th position and getting the points. WIth 1-2 incindents in first lap i found myself from 19th to 14th just after half a lap! Lap 6 and I made a pass on Francesconi in T1. On lap 10 Rietveld overtook me and in last corner my brakes acted weird and I lost the rear end of the car and hit him. This caused damage to both of us I guess. My first stop was a disaster. 9 seconds in pits to fix the damage was enough to put me again in 17th place. 2012-08-26Italy Monza, Italy 2013 Morgan MorandWC2012P5P1Comment: Q1 ok, best PB so far.
Q2 The worst lap i have ever made... worst than 2011 Suzuka but P5

Race : Got a good start, in the first stint, i was struggling with Q2 tyres, tyre pressure wasn't good.
Got a lot of battles. Baldi, simoncic, dominguez and saxen. I did not overtake them in S2 or S3 to not loose time to rietveld.
2nd stint was my best so far. Making a lot of 23.xxx
I cought up rietveld before pitstop, and made the pass at 2nd chicane caused by his late braking which gave him not enough speed at exit. Anyway, he was in my slipstream but at the last laps of the stint, i had better pace than others.
I was looking the gap with huis because he had Spa strategy, 3 longs stints + 1 very fast stint. But speed was enough and i managed brakes during last stint.

R: I was the first with fresh tyres and I wanted to take advantance of this in the first stint but my dreams stopped in T1 when I made contact with the car infront while he was braking very early to avoid others. As a result I damaged badly my front right suspension, car became undrivable and so I DNF.

2012-09-15Germany Nurburgring, Germany 2012 Mark AalbertsPRO2012P4P1Comment: Q1 pb 1.29.1xx Ofcourse happy with that.
Q2 was right on Petar's time but had a big sideway moment in the final chicane so lost out big time, lucky it was still just 4th on grid with 1.30.1xx wich should have been a 29.4 or 29,5

 Race
Well for race i decided to go with a mayby difficult 4 stop strategy but i felt most happy with a light car around here since my times on a heavier fuel load was way to slow. Ofcourse when seeing Petar's time and finding out in 2nd stint he was to fast for me and no on same strategy i bailed in and moved focus to fight for p2. Had to overtake some guys on track so was fun but in this proces i also lost out a lot of time, a start from front row would have been different ofcourse and the strategy would have worked better i think. Anyway in the end i had to overtake Zoltan Csuti another time for p2, mayby on broadcast this seemed a bit rough but after checking the replay i now know why i locked up under braking and cut across him. His car touched me on the sidepod and that caused my car to be pulled to the left, luckily we both could continue without crashing but it was close. I dont feel it was my fault and luckily i didnt let him pass wich i was thinking about because after checking the replay post race, i know it was not my fault and just a unfortunate racing incident.

then ofcourse i was p2 with 2 laps to go and somewhere on the final lap i realized i was p1 because Petar DNF. So ofcourse i was happy, a present i happily open for him instead. Earlyer this year he won Valencia when i gave a certain victory away, and now it was the oposite.

Good start of the weekend for GS and hopefully we can repeat a tripple win from Monza that would be awesome. 50View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2012-09-16Germany Nurburgring, Germany 2012 Morgan MorandWC2012P2P15Comment: During the 3 weeks, we struggle a lot with the car, my mission was to reach P2.

Q1/Q2 : i limitate damage, P2

Race : good start, i was too sweet in braking to avoid contact, allows Huis to take P1.
1st stint was correct.
After first pitstop, i came back on track behind Keithley, which was on 5 stop, but surprising, he is slower than me ( almost 0.3s slower per sector when i was within 0.7s gap ), he had no intention to let me pass, untill contact. Rietveld cought me up, at least Precision strategy worked but he hasn't good pace to overtake me.

After the 3rd pitstop, i came back again behind Keithley, same problem, but huge consequence, after a rough fight and passing him in outside, we were side by side again, my car goes a little on the left, and when the car touch the other car, we spin together, ending my race.

Anyway, fighting hard and dirty ( like the missing braking in 2nd stint ) against championship leaders when you are not able to finish better than 8th is a bit difficult to understand. That's a point.

Good job to mark and jim. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2012-09-29Japan Suzuka, Japan 2012 Jernej SimoncicACE2012P1P1Comment: My qualifying efforts were fantastic, personal best in Q1 and also personal best with race setting in Q2.

I started well and Ivar, who was the biggest threat, went off in lap 2. Then I drove not much ahead of Jack. I then almost went off in turn 1 and lost 2 seconds, causing me to lose a position to him after 2nd stop. But he got drive through. Then Dimitri closed up and after my half spin in degners when being stuck behind a backmaker, I lost so much time that he could pass me on the straight, but I repassed him later. I pitted but he stayed out and then I saw in the timing screen that he stopped. The only threat left was Martin Gosbee who was on 3 stopper, but I already was in front of him so I just nursed the car in the last part of the race.

So I got my first FSR WS victory for which I'm very happy, but of course it would be much more difficult hadn't all the fastest guys had problems.50View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Race : Got a great start, with the chaos at Turn 1, it help me to hillclimb the field.
In the first stint, i was able to catch the De wit group.
When i saw that i couldn't overtake the guys in front of me, i decided to pit earlier ( 7th lap ) and the strategy worked.
I got several good battle, with De wit for example, with funny overtakes during braking.
In the last stint, i was 4th but keithley slowed down and i pass him for 3rd place.
Podium !! what a race.

I will make some back of the grid later. It's funnier than racing in front.

Had an awful get away at the start nearly get passed from serveral guys behind.
On the straight I was able to pass serveral cars with a awesome slipstream.
One straight later I passed De Wit with some contact.
And on lap 2 there was this weird crash with petar. Dont know how this was able to happen;
I didnt expect him to move on the inside again but he did.. So I already was commited to the corner and we made contact which left him in the wall and me into a spin after trying to recover on the dirty run off area.
So from there on I tried to achieve max. result I could and found myself in P7 in last but I had 2 L too less so I had to pit again and had to give muhammed the place back.
In the end P8.
Could have been better but I'm tired to say this almost every race.4View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Im not sure if he didnt notice me or what was the case but luckily that didnt affect me getting in to Q2. Q2 lap for me was just about getting a decent lap together and i did, slow but a decent lap and p6 was the reward.

R: Race started well. I had a good launch and was right behind Petar and we had some intense racing going on in the 2 long straights and i managed to spin and lost alot of time while facing in the fence. After reversing and shit i managed to get going again dead last. I had couple of good fights and couple of awkward fights. At some point was following Tali in the hairpin when suddenly he slowed alot in the apex and i had no where to go and damaged my suspension. After it it was just about trying to survive with a car that doesnt handle like i want it to. In the end while racing with Zoltan my car just went off out of nowhere in last turn and i hit the pitwall pretty hard and that was my race. I hope i can drive last race in Brazil as i had alot of fun racing against people in WC even tho result wasnt what i was going for.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q2 was unexpected fast compared of our pace at the moment. A pole is still great to have

Race : I got a correct start, but bono started really well. he overtook me but Jack Keithley hitted me and i got damage at my rear ARB/wing. The car is loosing the rear a lot during the braking and low speed corner, i manage to not make mistakes, which costed me 0.3/0.5s per lap. I let pass Yannick who was in soft strategy and i managed the gap between me and the 4th ( 3rd virtual ) at this moment. After it was a boring race, only the overtakes on kostadinov and lapchin ( which is one of my best move ever ) keep me alive.

After the final pitstop in soft, the car wasn't not so bad with the extra grip but my Rfactor crashed... ( 5 days old installation... )
I'm frustrated because it was a really good result because we are lacking pace/grip in low speed corner.

2013-04-07Australia Melbourne, Australia 2013 Philipp PuschkeWC2013P19P4Comment: Q1 - Pretty ok got through with a averge good lap (24.0).
Q2 - As my lap was a completely mess I'm ok with 10th place.
My actual start was ok but as Rasmus did hit Patrick in the first lap I really lost many places as I was stuck behind the struggling cars and some could easily drove passed me on the outside.
The whole first stint I was stucked behind a struggling and pretty much slower De Wit.
This destroyed my tires and I also took a bit damage as I tapped Pat's rear. Sorry for that.
Then I had a very critical moment on the straight with Tali as I weaved out of his slipstream to pass but as he weaved too a bit later this could have been the end to my race.
And from there on I was able to drive a clean and solid race getting the car home in 5th with a very entertaining last lap for me as I fought with the struggling Yannick.
As I was able to get the maximum out of a very difficult and not nice handling car this weekend I'm satisfied with my result.
I hope we can recover some crucial pace and general handling of the car as today some artistic driving was needed to not crash the car into the wall.
I'm really sorry for Morgan as some crucial points are missing already ; without making any mistake.

Race : good start but i got a huge fps drop, i tried to avoid some drivers, which costed me 2 places.
I loose a lot of time in the first stint.
I was very fast in hard, bono came into me and keithley group, i defended ok but bono misjudged that i was on hard ( i brake at 120m ) and hit very hard my rear. The car becomes very tricky 3km/h lost.
I pass the soft, allowed me to pass keithley and kalamees. at the end of the stint, a group ignored blue flags, and allowed kalamees to gain 1s5. during the straight finish line, i went to the left, kalamees hit me when following me ,T1 was ok. but divebombing in the first hairpin in S2. Contact made. I burn my tyres and run 1 lap with killed tyres...
I returned to the box, soft again, but the car is so slow caused by the damages ( front and rear diffuser/ RR suspension ) , which made worst tyre wear, at the end i manage the tyres but again a divebombing of a PM/GTO car, my car becomes totally damaged, fortunaly it was the final lap.

I hope some driver will have huge penalty. THIS is not acceptable, i was racing in a Public server race.
Last year FSR catched me every race for a "dirty" driving which was 2/3x time less than that.

The start went pretty good.
I gained a few places in the first lap and my pace seemed to be ok for the first laps of the race.
I quickly noticed that I was struggling a lot in the first stint with max fuel and hard tires.
I had a pretty intense fight with Rob in the first part of the race but then Eduard joined and sadly took me out in lap 15 in T1.
This gave me some moderate damage and some crucial time lost but in the end I managed to climb a few positions back with a mistake-free race and a good 2nd and 3rd stint.
8th in the end.

2013-07-07Germany Nurburgring, Germany 2013 Franz SchnyderWC2013P10P11Comment: Had a very fun race yesterday. Because after my first hard stint I was always on softs, I had some nice overtakes. 2 laps to go it looked good for some points, but then I was on the wrong place at the wrong time :(0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2013-08-04Hungary Hungaroring, Hungary 2013 Morgan MorandWC2013P1P3Comment: Q1 : some strange understeer in S2 doesnt allow me to do the fastest time.
Q2 : Really good lap, but i missed the S3. It was a really close gap with BONO lol

Race : bad start, I got hit by baldi and go to huis gearbox... it was impossible to avoid him...
Front and rear damaged... 0.5/0.6s off pace... i lost my car during a braking and i made an non intentional overtake to baldi... sorry.
After it was a good battle with huis, but i couldnot do anything with my car. With his better strategy, he overtake me at final stint.
