2006-04-09Australia Melbourne, Australia 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P4P9Comment: I was surprised to be 3rd in Qualifying as I really didn't do much practice and with my race strategy I was quite confident to take a spot on the podium. My start was pretty good but when I wanted too much in T1 I was braking too late and I understeered into the grass so that some drivers could slip through. In lap 2 when I was behind Schmalenbach in 4th I lost downforce in the last turn and spun into the pitlane(!) but could go on without damage. After this unintended drive through I found myself in 9th. Then I was working my way up passing several cars (that was actually very funny) and before my 1st regular stop I was already 4th again. After I came out I was 5th I think and in lap 24 my teammate did his first stop and he joined in right in front of me. In lap 25 I was only some tenths behind Sebastian and I tried to attack him but again I lost downforce in the turn before the fast chicane and I spun hitting the barrier braking my rear wing. Race over for me but I'm not as disappointed as my teamie as he worked really hard for this race, so my feelings are with him. Congrats to Roy and David for a Kiwi 1-2 and thanks to the team and our sponsors Red Bull, Coca Cola and F1 Racing for their great support! Onto Malaysia!0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-04-16Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P4P2Comment: What a fantastic result for me! Never thought to be competitive here but my strategy was perfect, the car was in good shape and I'm very very happy to get the first podium for Red Bull Kiwi Virtual! I even had the chance to win but Roy was just damn consistent. Thanks to the whole team for their support.8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-04-30San Marino Imola, San Marino Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P19P16Comment: Not much to say about this GP from my side. PC lock up during qualifying so I had to start from the last spot on the grid. The start was hectic but I made up 7 positions within the first 2 laps and I was running as 12th when my PC locked up in lap 3 again. Considering my strategy and pace I think a point finish would have been possible even from the last position. Congrats to Roy for his victory and on a side note it was cool that we had AJ Allmendinger with us today. I hope he joins us on regular base as it's great to have such a class real life racer in the FSR grid.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-06-04Monaco Monte Carlo, Monaco 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P6P2Comment: Wow! A 2nd at Monaco, this really came as a surprise! Red Bull gave me wings today. Thanks to my teammate Schmali I had a great handling car, I made no mistakes and this is the outcome. Had a nice duel with Hirrle. I could overtake him in the chicane after the tunnel from the outside where he was very fair giving us both enough room. Monaco is a special place and to be on the podium here is something unique as this track is so challenging and unforgiving. Thanks to my team and our sponsors! Now I want to celebrate!8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-06-18Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P6P17Comment: I'm pissed of today. My qual was bad while I could have battled for pole. Contrary to my opponents I do no start with the pit limiter, so I lost 1 position. In T1 I had to go over the right curb to avoid contact as there were just too many cars which resulted in a 360. I could go on as 16th, overtook 2 cars in the 1st lap and in the 2nd lap I lost control in Beckets due to the ridiculously overdone sudden loss of downforce when driving close behind which also destroyed my race in Melbourne.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-07-16Canada Montreal, Canada 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P8P17Comment: This was a warp back in time, back to the F12002 netcode. Lag party. Not only for me but also for other drivers. No way I could continue to race, it was too risky because I never knew if I was about to hit a car. Admin should really look into this issue.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-08-06United States Indianapolis, United States 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P3P13Comment: It's a shame I had to quit the race due to bad headaches. I couldn't concentrate anymore and I was forced to park the car on the side lying in 2nd position 4 sec behind Bruno.

It was the first time sth like that happened to me during my simracing career and I hope it never happens again. Seems I had some kind of jetlag coming back from Mallorca holidays yesterday hehe.

I'm sorry for the team and my teamies who also had trouble. By the looks of it I was very competetive qualifying on 3rd and driving the 2nd fastest lap of the race. Congrats to Bruno. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-08-13France Magny Cours, France 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P6P12Comment: Very frustrating end of an interesting race. My PC froze once again. These technical problems are driving me mad. Motivation is going down DNF by DNF. I'm really thinking about calling it a day for this year.

Concerning the race, well.. I was aiming for a top 3 qual spot but screwed up my first stint. So I had to carry more fuel for my 2nd stint to be able to do 2 laps in a row.

I had a great start and improved 1 position. After that I was stuck behind Hirrle and due to the short 1st stint of my 2 stop strategy I couldn't overtake him in the pits. During my 2nd stint concentration faded away slowly and I couldn't go Hirrle's pace anymore.

That's why I made a mistake and spun loosing a position to Dyrlund. Right after my 2nd stop my PC froze in lap 49. It came as a surprise as usually it doesn't take so long until it freezes. It's a gamble every race which is torturing my psyche. I'm sorry for my team as once again I couldn't score points.

Without my problems a 2nd place behind Bruno could have been possible. Congrats to my new teamie Zaahir Essa who did a fantastic debut.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2006-09-03Hungary Hungaroring, Hungary 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P5P16Comment: This time I threw the race myself away… I was in P1 before the 1st pitstop of my 2 stopper and was really pushing hard. Bruno was 8 sec behind me and the gap was increasing. When I entered the pits I didn’t get the hairpin and touched the wall with the front suspension. Had to do another lap but the car was already damaged at that time. I spun twice and stalled the engine. My fastest lap of 1:17,1 shows that I could have challenged for the win with my strategy…0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-09-17Turkey Istanbul, Turkey 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P7P18Comment: And guess what... DNF! Surprise! After a bad qual I started from 7th and could move up to 6th after a few corners. Then I had a nice fight with my teammate Sebastian (Schmalenbach) who overtook me by surprise in the first lap. I could reovertake him and closed up to David (Greco) later in the stint. I was in his gearbox already when I spun in his dirty air in turn 9 where I damaged the suspension and frontwing. I came into the pits to sort out the stuff but the suspension was too damaged already. My wheel was not straight anymore and the laptimes were too slow, so I decided to retire.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-09-24Italy Monza, Italy 2006 Red Bull Kiwi...WC2006P5P17Comment: Not much to say, good qual (was 0,1 from my PB) and great start. Travelled easy in 3rd position the first laps and had plenty of resources left to attack on my strategy. Lost it in Parabolica when I went too wide and touched the grass with my left rear tire. 2007-04-22Australia Melbourne, Australia 2007 Silva Snake RexWC2007P7P10Comment: It's a real shame to loose a race like that, as Sebastian said we had to rely on the testing done by the team but it seems that in real race conditions the setup was not safe enough. Seb and me did a stunning race and it was really the best under these conditions to go for a 2 stopper, we would have finished on 4 and 5. I'm really disappointed and I think this was my last race in FSR WC. Thanks to all for having a good time over the years, it was a pleasure and honor to race here. Good luck to you all!0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
