Twister-Racing swaps drivers for Monza
Laleau to take over Koek in WS-Ace as De Angelis makes WC come-back
League: World Championship Team: Twister Racing Category: Article
Following the Turkey Grand Prix and the retirement "Twister Logo" of Ferry Koek from the World Series Ace championship, Twister-Racing has made some adjustements to his line-up. With the return of Ernesto De Angelis, the World Championship will see Dennis Hirrle partnering the Italian driver. Chris Laleau will concentrate on chasing the constructor’s title in WS-Ace, together with Craig Hattingh.
Chris Laleau’s swap happens after he drove two rounds in the FSR World Championship. The 34 years old frenchman retired in Budapest after he was disqualified from the race for still unclear reasons. Two weeks later in Istanbul, Laleau was catching Marconi but spun in the last stages of the race and stalled his TR006B.
Starting his first race in Imola for Twister-Racing, Ernesto De Angelis climbed on the podium after a solid performance. Three weeks later, he improved even further by taking second place in Nurburgring, grabbing a total of 14 points in the two events he participated with the team. The 2002 FSR World Champion’s aim will be to help the team in his battle for WCC 2nd position.
