successes of the previous round in Hungary, Torrent Motorsports' drivers continued their improvements in the FSR World Series this past weekend in Istanbul.
The World Championship division is where the largest improvements were made once again as Andreas Spengler brought home his Osiris Shoes Ferrari in 5th place finish and solidified his 6th place position in the drivers championship.
In the Ace division Torrent Motorsports also continued to improve with driver Dennis Johansen posting his best finish of the season, 7th.
"Spengler surges forward!"
Wes Richards had another points paying finish in 11th and moved up in the drivers championship. Gabriel Montanes was running ably in 4th position until the final few laps when, unfortunately, his engine let go.
The Pro division was another successful race for the Torrent Motorsports trio of Pedro Licio Mega, Nicholas Morse and Sam Giltner who finished nose to tail in third, fourth and fifth. Pedro Licio Mega picked up his second podium of the season and all three drivers look forward to Italy and an even better performance.
In the AMA division, Michael Theis and Alex
Gerasimchik both had outstanding races but suffered mechanical failures which kept them from finishing well. Gerasimchik finished 19th after his engine blew while running second and Theis wound up 20th after he suffered suspension failure while in 4th place. It was an upsetting finish to a promising race for the drivers.
Torrent Motorsports strives to improve at each event and plans for a WC podium or victory by the end of the year are well under way. Monza in Italy is scheduled for Round 13 and it is with eagerness that TMo prepares for the upcoming weekend.
