Patrick De Wit disqualified for Canada
Due to illegal wheel settings
League: World Championship Category: Press-release
Twister-Racing driver Patrick De Wit had "Twister Logo" finished 4th in last Sunday's FSR World Championship Canada race but has now been disqualified due to an illegal wheel setting. The dutch driver had inadvertently used combined pedal axis which is strictly forbidden by the rules, as with some wheel/pedal combinations there is a bug which could give drivers an advantage concerning the wear of the brakes, which is of course a special issue in Canada. According to De Wit and the Twister-Racing, normal brake cooling for Canada standards has been used so De Wit did not seem to have an advantage, but due to this breach of the rules he will now lose his 4th place to teammate Dennis Hirrle, who will move up one position as well as all other drivers who finished behind De Wit. According to the 25 year old rookie the axis had been changed to 'combined' when he had installed a new hard disk drive on his computer few time before the event.
