| "I knew this weekend it would be a struggle to keep pace with Jorge. I have not raced on this track a lot, and we struggled with our setup here. My times seemed ok, but I expected to be close to missing Q2. Once I did make Q2 I blew all three laps, so I was lucky we had a few missing Q2 drivers which allowed me to finish 6th. After penalties I was 3rd which was again extremely fortunate. Just when I thought things couldn't go any better, P1 disappeared on the grid just before the formation lap started.
Heading into T1 in 2nd place but Reiter I think (or Guass) was right behind Jorge on the inside, so I just fell back in behind him and wanted to keep pace in 3rd. Some early errors caused me to fall back of the top two, but 4th was dropping off slowly and 5th place and behind were dropping off rapidly.
The Twister driver (Reiter?) in 2nd place pitted around lap 16 so that just left a huge gap to Jorge and a decent gap back to 3rd. I believe I was the heaviest of the top group pitting a couple laps after Jorge. When I came out of my pitstop I was right behind a Twister driver again. I was pretty sure he would be stopping again, but I tried to maintain the gap to him incase I had to try and challenge for position later. Once he pit around lap 38 I turned the boost down and just looked to maintain the 17 second gap to Jorge, it would have been impossible and foolish to try and push, and watched the 20 second gap to 3rd increase slowly. Similar to Jorge, the last 15 laps was just a cautious drive to the line.
Much better result than I had hoped for, I clearly didn't have Jorge's pace here so 2nd was the best result I could get without him having an engine failure or something. Well done Jorge." | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | | No items found. | | | | Driver: | | Country: | | Race position: | 23 | Team: | Team FSR |
