"First I would like to congratulate to Bono and Precision Motorsport for winning this race!!! Precision was really fast here and I was not surprised about that and I expect them to be fast on all type of circuits.

About my race, I was 3rd on the grid after 28.9 lap which was close to my PB and Bono did 28.7 so it is obvious we lacked some pace.

I had a very good start, I tried to stay out of trouble and I managed that. From there on I just needed to push and do my best because it was clear to me that we lack some pace so I had to push little bit more to have chance and stay close to Precision. I was little bit surprised when I realized I could follow 3 Precision Motorsport drivers and eventually overtook 2 of them - Rasmus and Ronny. But Bono was unbeatable. I had a very nice fights with Ronny but my only problem against him was that his sound was so loud that I heard his gears and throttle in my car. It was very distracting and I hardly managed to keep concentration.
With any other car I did not have any problems with sounds, just with his car and unfortunately I had to fight with him in such situation. It was not very enjoyable.

In the end, congratulations to my team-mate Bruno for excellent recovery driving, after he was only 11th on first lap. We managed to get good points which we did not expect prior to race, so we need to be satisfied. "

"This was a tough race, not exactly the beginning of season I dreamt of, but it's just the beginning anyway.

Qualify wasn't gvery good, the car lacked the necessary traction for me to have confidence on it. Will have to work on this for the next race.

I had a fun race in the end, ended up passing a lot of people on the beginning stages of the race, then pitted too late, realized that coming out of the pits, I lost too much time by staying on track.

Onto Australia..."

I was struggling a bit with getting a laptime in, after 3 attempts I was only at 1:30.1, but eventually I got a 29.385 which I was quite satisfied with.

Starting 11th I knew that it would be a hard race, especially consider how difficult my race preparation was. I had a very clean and fun battle with Patrick for the first 25 laps or so, after that I started to feel more confident and managed to pull away a little every lap. In the end, a very nice 6th place, but not what we are looking for in the grand scheme of things.

Congrats to Bono & PMo for their great weekend, we'll try to make the next one harder."

"First of all, i would like to thank Simon Melhuish and Michael Theis for the opportunity to race for Torrent Motorsports in the World Championship this year!
After almost a year absence from Sim-Racing it feels really good to be back, motivation is on top and im really looking forward to the rest of this season!

The race weekend worked out pretty good, im abit disappointed with the race, but overall im quite pleased.
In qualifying i didnt manage to reach my personal best, but a P8 was a good starting position.

The race itself was quite intresting, I really enjoyed all the battles and the no re-fueling rule gave it a extra boost.
For Melbourne i hope to improve abit overall and reach the Top5.
The biggest area i need to improve is my skill to adapt my driving for the tyres and fuel ballast during the race!"

"It was a difficult race for us, we had good qualy pace, but the race was really hard, especially after the first pit stop. The 9th place in the debut of Racing Factory was a great moment, scoring the first points in the debut of the team is something great. I want to thank all the members for the great effort, in especial to my team mate David, who was allways helping and trying to have the best car possible for this first race weekend. Now we go to Melbourne with motivation, knowing that we can improve race by race because we have the potential."

"Had some problems which I believe affected my race. I had to use a smaller screen, and it was also sitting further away from me, along with my wheel being alot closer to me. No force feed back here, but still felt different with my arms. Add to that, Qualifying was my first attempt at Qualifying lap.

Everything combined there, certainly slower than what I could have been.

In the race, fell to 21st on lap 1! Then had some battles, was able to pass some other drivers. I did get damage somewhere around lap 5, which perhaps affected the handling also.

Ended the race with a fast lap, which was somewhere aound 5th quickest of all. Also the drivers that dropped out of the race helped me improve my place to 10th. Definitley happy to be in the top 10 points, but it's unfortunate that I had the bad things I described right before the race, so look forward to a better result at the next race."

"Qualy: 29.4

I was testing Q laps the day before the race, I knew top10 would be hard as I only hit the 29.2. On the raceday I only could manage a 29.4 which was a bit disappointing because it was 2 tenth off - P13

Race: 12th

I wanted to go for a 2 stopper, but shortly before the race I decided to risk the 1 stopper as I knew everyone will do the same and this would be the best option.

The racestart was OK, I could gain 2 positions and found myself behind Bruno. I was following him till turn 8 (hairpin) then I was hit hard from Lee Morris into the left hander of my car. I was shocked because the impact pushed me out of the curcuit. After getting back ontrack I checked fastly the suspension, it was damaged (yellow on the whole left side). God bless I didnt lose any wing - but the car felt really strange after that incident.
Due to this incident I lost 4 positions and found myself on P14 right behind Laurent.
I could overtake Laurent in the following lap on the mainstraight and after that I was trying to catch Mikko and Patrick - it worked out because them both seemed to have a good fighting party. I joined this party and observed the situation for a while. Some laps later I was coming out of the last turn and was directly behind Mikko and Pat. Due to my straightline speed I could overtake both, but Patrick could brake later and stay infront of me, but I overtook him in the same lap again.
It wasnt able to make a gap because of the damaged car, but I tryied at least to get everything possible out of the car and stay infront but it didnt work out, Mikko and Patrick passed me.
In lap12 the next incident - I dont know what happened to Jaako but I also dont know what he wanted to try in the last turn. There was absolutely no room for an overtake opportunity, somehow he although tryied it and hit me on the right hander of my car - so the car was all over yellow from then on and on top Jaako cut my FW off. I needed to do a iregular pitstop to get a new one.
The suspension damage of both incidents unfortunately stayed.
After that pitstop I have had almost a lonely race and finally ended the race in P12.

I am very frustrated because the practiced race pace was indeed good, and I could end up the race if there would be no incidents surely in similar region as my teammate Mikko.

"Qualifying was extremely competitive, I had only managed a half decent laptime which landed me 18th on the grid.

Starting the race I had a few close touches with cars surrounded me and I sustained suspension damage, this did affect my pace but the car was still controllable, from then on I knew I just had to take the car to the finish."

"I wasn't allowed to quallify as I heard on raceday that I was racing in WC so I had to start the race from the back of the grid.

The start was without any drama. I was 19th at the end of lap 1 because of other drivers having problems. I had a lot of fun during the opening laps because there was much going on despite it was in the back of the field. Unfortunately I lost my front wing in lap 5 because of an error so I was dead last when I got out of the pits. I was hoping my tyres lasted the rest of the race but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It didn't work out and I had to make a pitstop in lap 38 because my tyres couldn't hold it much longer.

Congratz to Bono and PM for their great weekend :)"
