Comment: Finally after more than a year, I won a FSR race. I kind of missed winning already.

The qualify went pretty well, did a slight mistake on my best lap but it was good enough for pole fortunately, my 1st one for a very long time indeed. I was pretty happy but it's just qualify.

For the race, it started pretty well, but soon I realized I just couldn't get away from Bono Huis, even if I was quicker, the slipstream he was getting from me was benefiting him, and somehow he could pass me easier than I could pass him, so it ended up being a race long battle for the win until the very last sector of the last lap. It was my only chance, any earlier overtake would end up with Bono doing it to me, not me to him and I won. Feels pretty good really!!! Will have this one on my memory for as long as I can remember anything for sure :)

I want to say also big congratulations to Mikko, he drove brilliantly this weekend and was a big helper during the testing and to Karol for his base setup. Also a big thanks to Phil, he has been very supportive since day 1, this victory is dedicated to him.

See you in Canada!

Comment: Obviously it's quite disappointing to lose the victory in the final few corners, but looking at my pace I think it's still a good result. Bruno was faster all race, and he had way more topspeed, so to keep him behind for 57 laps is good. I knew he wasn't trying that hard all race, so I knew it was going down to the last lap and there Bruno drove perfect, he put the car just in the right places in the final 3 corners. So I didn't have any chance to repass him. So congrats to Bruno for the awesome race, looking forward to Canada already, hopefully we have some more topspeed.

Comment:
Quali: 24.896, P3. This was very nice, I only managed 24.8 twice in my testing.

Race: I took the first corners pretty easily, lost one position but then I outbraked myself in to T9 and dropped to 7th or so. There was a crash exiting the final corner so I gained a few positions back there.

After that I could settle in to a nice rhythm and to my surprise I could challenge Bruno and Bono in the first stint. I knew Bruno was definitely faster than me so I wasn't too disappointed when they passed me after the first pitstop.

I couldn't quite follow them after that, I tried one last push in the last ~15 laps but couldn't get close enough for a slipstream.

3rd place is a fantastic result for me and the team, thanks to a lot of hard work and a great setup from Bruno.

Comment: Qualifying was ok for me this time, I thought I would get 25.0 and that was the case.

The race then. I got a very good start and jumped Casalins I think, and then I had some nice battles in the first stint with Morand. We swapped places for a while and then I managed to pit at the right time to get some breathing space.
In the middle stint I was worried that my fuel would not last, it showed that I was 2 laps short of making it to the finish, so I had to save enough fuel but still not letting Morand catch my tow. I had saved enough when he made passing attempt in the closing stages of the race, so thereafter I was free to push again and then after that just bringing the car home.
4th place is the best result of the season for Roaldo Racing Sim1GP.com, and with my team mate driving astonishingly from the pits up to 10th position, this turned out to be a fantastic weekend for us. I'm pretty sure that we can have a very strong weekend in Canada too, so I'm looking forward to it.

Comment: Q - P14 - couldnt bring my sectors together, so very disappointing result.

R - P6 - as always we try to concentrate on the R set so here as well. My pace was top5 for sure but due to the bad starting position it was a hard race.
After a spinner in T4 I was 20th, then the recovery drive began. I had a lot of great clean battles, to mention is Lee, very clean dude - Patrick, very clean, John-Eric, Santi, Conti, everything was really fine and cool. But the two last I will mention are Jaakko, really and great drive mate - thanks for pushing and not fighting while catching Morgan on P5. It was absolutely amazing behaviour, thanks for that. Well yea and last but not least Morgan - well I think he is a bit bullheady, he hasnt the experience for now so I think his defendig action where we kissed us a couple of time wasnt on purpose, but once I thought there should be a gentleman agreement in simracing as well. On the start/finish straight where he weaved to the left and almsot produced a big incident - and finally the backstraight where he finished my hope for P5. You did well in the race, thats clear unless the action in lap 57 :(

regards.

Comment: Good race,
I started P10, P3 after crashes, i have a battle with Nilsson but i had a lot of difficulties to drive the car, after 14laps my tyres were KO
So, 2 laps to go, I wanted to repass Karol but i was too optimist ( with my tyres, i could not brake late ) and i touch him,
I'm very sorry to this incident, It's not intentionnal, Behind the lign, i brake to give my position to Karol
Without this incident my race was good

Comment: Difficult race, spent almost all laps behind other cars, which cost a lot of time. In the final part I had some great fighting with Morris, nice moves but no contact, very good fighting I have to say, thanks for that.
The end result is a bit disappoing as empty track pace was enough to challenge for fourth, but the top speed unfortunately wasn't very competitive this time. Looking forward towards Montreal, nice track.

Comment: Qualified 20th. Must have been my worst grid position ever in WC I think. 0.5 off my pb. Race, got damage in that lap 2 crash. So, lost 6seconds repairing that in the first pitstop on lap 10, along with driving damage car for 8 laps, and also the 10sec from the accident itself. After that couldn't really catch too many other guys.

Comment: Qualy : For the third consecutive race, I did my PB ... but as usual not enough. P17.

Race : Disaster. Don't know what happened in the second lap, but there were a lot of cars crashing. I coudn't avoid that and I had massive damage. Pitstop on lap 2 loosing a lot of time ... after that I was behind the leaders and I was doing same laptimes as them, with some damages still on the car (suspension).

Anyway I was driving alone, no motivation, just trying to finish the race. An absolut disaster of weekend, our race pace was really really good here, and also we had a lot of topspeed on the straights ... we lost a great oportunity to score a good amount of points ...

Comment: First of all say thanks to Christian and Phill, they both make possible my first race in WC.
The targets for this first race with FTS was only try to finish and have fun, a pitty that one of these points was not possible.

Q: With a very good lap (at least for me) i scored the 18th place, being 0.7 slower than poleman.

R: On first two laps I was lucky, thanks to other drivers incidents I found me in P11 on second lap. I was on the midle of a slow car group, we was driving in a poor 1.32 for some laps. Then I decided go for a safe strategy avoiding risks, letting pass 2 cars, falling to P13 and staying just behind of this group and betting for an early pit stop.
Strategy worked very well and improved some positions, driving some laps in P10.
Later I was catched by Prevot and Ronny, both were about half second faster than me, and had some good fights with both, but finally a mistake on the last corner cost me the race, after spun I was stuck on the gravel losing 35 seconds to rejoin track.
I rejoined track with a damaged car and lapped, I drove one more lap, but car was undrivable, finished race 4 laps early.

A good race, with good feelings, but with a poor result.

Comment: Well that didnt last long - I had hopes of a good finish as we had had improved the car following the WS race, but i got caught up in the L2 T1 mess and sustained heavy damage to the front suspension which made the car really unstable even after repairs and i eventually lost control and crashed out.

Comment: Q - I found a bit since my race yesterday and finished 6th with a new PB. I did not expect to be in the Top10, but was a very good feeling and I knew my race pace was quite good, so I hoped to stay as close to the top guys as possible.
R - Had a very hard Lap 1, fighting with several cars and losing and winning a position. I was battling hard into T1 with Nillson, when Rasmus Tali, entered the racing line just infront of me. The accident finished my race. I lost my suspension. A very unfortunate result. After looking in the times, a point position would have been possible.
But I'm looking forward to Canada, where I won in 09, as I'm now getting the pace I was looking for all season.

Comment: Q: Was pretty good as I was driving with race orientated setup, and my personal best with this set.

R: I was realy comfortable at the start and my chance of winning or atleast fighting for the win til the end.

After lights went green I was being cautious not to get any damage wich would ruin my race. While taking inside line exiting final corner to avoid greco and huis if they were to make a mistake, Greco ran into Huis a bit and half supun in front of me, I didnt know what was the damage but I braked into t1 a bit earlier and more inside the track to be ready if my car has some suspension problems. Unfortunatley contact with Greco took off my front wing and car just understeered deep into t1, I then tried to avoid gravel trap but I touched it with 2 of my wheels and it sent me towoards the track with no control over the car, I did everything I could but the car ended up in ideal line where Euler hit me and after that some red car also.

I realy dont know what to say, a realy big chunk of possible points went away again because of some realy misfortunate happenings, I am sorry for those who suffered in t1 because of me but hand on my hear there was nothing I could have done to avoid it after I touched the gravel.

See you in Canada.
