"ok this was an very nice quali round. not a realy good laptime but P2 was ok. Fred was way to fast fore me in quali. so after the quali i was happy with P2.

Starting from P2 i knew it was possible to get in front off Fred before the first turm. i did practice a few starts and it workd out very good. I was on P1 after the first turn. but it wasnt enough because i made a little mistake at the hairpin at the back. So after that i got stuck behind Fred. With Mark Sebas and Glyn behind me. they were after a few laps more then 5 sec away. so from that moment on. i knew it was possible to finish at least on second. I didnt push to much on my first stint because i knew i could not overtake Fred. but surprisenly he did a very long first stint. something about 25 laps. and i was in after lap 19. so he came out in front off me with a heavy car. because he was on 2 stops.

So from that moment on i was pushing and overtook him on lap 29. so i puled out a little not that much but i did my second stop at lap 38. and was 17 sec behind Fred. i could not get closer to him, so after a few laps he also goes to his pits. i believe it was in lap 46. and again he was in front off me. but very close so i could overtake him in lap 47. and from that moment on pushing very hard. to do my last stop in lap 54. and i did an good stop. but Fred was still to fare away. but he made a little mistake or a backmarker i dont exacly know what happend. but suddenly he was only 2 sec in front off me. so from that moment on i knew i could win. so i cept on pushing. and he made a mistake in lap 58 if i believe and lost his front wing. So from that moment on i knew i could finish the race on P1 because the other drivers were more then 40 sec behind. After all very happy with P1 and getting the lead in the championchip. "

"Ferry described our battle for p1 very well already, unfortunately I had a lapped guy slow down in front of me and I couldn't avoid him - it bent the car and made it very difficult to drive, I tried to stay ahead of Ferry, but eventually it caught me out, I crashed, bending the car some more and I had to pit for a new front wing - so I'm lucky to get 2nd really. Everyone else I lapped was really helpful.

I didn't fight Ferry when he came up to pass me, as I knew I was on heavy fuel, but even so he was incredibley clean and it was a enjoyable fight for all 70 laps. Congrats mate.

Thanks to everyone at Racing."

"One of the more difficult races for me, i dont like this track and besides i injured mine knee last monday wich makes racing more difficult as well.

For qualy i did an poor lap but still managed to start from p4. At the start i maintained that position. But after 10 to 15 laps i started to make some mistakes as the car behaved different with less fuell.

Only in the first half of the races i could keep up the pace and didnt lost much time on the front runners but after the 2nd pistop i started to loose concentration and mine knee didnt felt nice either. This all resulted in a verry bad pace where mine times fluctuated alot between 13 high and 15s.

I never had a decent race pace from halfway race on so i lost a lot of time.

I hope mine knee recovers soon again, i still cant do many practise so i hope everything fall into places for Hockenheim next week, otherwise i am loosing to much ground on ferry for the title.

"In Q1 I was 4th with 1:13.3, had enough speed in the car for 2nd, but that was enough. In Q2, with the extra fuel, the time just didn't come out, could only do 1:13.7, 5th place. Not great but I was satisfied with the position.

Then in the race everything went backwards. Had a bad start, lost two positions, and got stuck behind Mihajlo Vicentijevic. It was completely impossible to follow him, he seemed to be driving another track! He cut absolutely every corner by a big margin and took completely weird lines. I think the Admins must review whether this driver is up to WS Ace standards, becuase I don't think he is. He then took a really strange line into a chicane, so I had to change my line too, causing me to spin. The next lap I had to go off to avoid Chris Barber who spun in front of me. And in that move, my wheel got loose, causing me to go off the next lap, loosing almost 15 seconds there in the sticky gravel.

In total, I lost half a minute during the first stint. Without those problems, I could have been 4th ahead of the Roaldo Racing's and close to Glyn Cooper, at least. So it's really disappointing because I think I showed an improved performance, the pace was better than in other races, and I ended up with my worst result of the season, when I had genuine pace to fight for the podium.

We lost the lead in both championships. I hope we can recover in the Constructors one next week. In the Drivers Championship, I believe my chances are over, but I'll keep trying and pushing anyway."
