"I was obviously very disappointed with my qualifying performance. Q1 was fine but I made a massive mistake in Q2. I finished the lap hoping that someone else would screw up too, unfortunately no one else did so P10 was the result. I already gained 2 positions in the 1st lap and after that, I had to pass the cars infront as fast as possible, else I would lose too much time to Jaakko and Twisters. With this year's dirty air it's quite difficult to pass but I managed to get up to P4 quite easily, mainly because most didn't put up much of a fight. Then I was behind Kerkhof but I couldn't really follow him in Turn 8, for some reason Twister was a lot faster there. I didn't manage to get close enough but I was lucky that he made a small mistake which enabled me to pass him. Same reason why I passed Nilsson, he made contact with Jaakko who didn't fight too hard either. Fourth win out of four races is amazing, I want to thank the team and especially Ondrej for the setup help."

"It was really nice to start the race on pole. I lacked race pace compared to Twisters and Bono, but I could at least keep Twisters behind. Nilsson followed most of the race very closely which was really nerve breaking. One mistake and he had a chance to pass. I did one mistake on first stint but I was able to re pass him again. This maneuver allowed Bono to get pass Nilsson and moments later me."

"Q1 was OK first lap, so I went to practice for Q2 instantly, which is pretty pointless considering how easy it is to screw it up. I ruined my lap in sector 1 already, but at least got reasonable second and last sectors, so I ended up 3rd on the grid.

At the start of the race I could keep up with the leading pair easily, and overtook my teammate and later Mikkonen, only to be repassed almost instantly after some contact, which resulted in losing 2nd position to Huis. After that my race was quite monotonous, chasing Mikkonen all through the last stint without getting a real chance to pass. I was also looking out for Bruno who was very fast behind me, so I did not want to overdrive and lose the last podium position. See you in Malaysia."

"Q1: 23.6 on my first lap, was pretty convinced that it would get me through to Q2
Q2: 24.5, wasn't too thrilled with this, but got a surprising 4th place.

Had a safe start, was surprised to see that the guys in front of me didn't pull away more than they did.

Bono caught me quite quickly, and having noticed that he passed 5 guys before me, I didn't fight him very hard to avoid losing time.

After making my pitstop I rejoined right in front of Bruno, and he was able to pass me at the end of the lap. I tried to push hard to stay within his slipstream but failed in the end.

I'm pleased with 5th place however, much better start to the season than last year.

Congrats to Bono & the podium."

"q1: was ok. DId a q2 practice lap after and did a 1.23.8 on q2 settings, so was confident into q2.

q2: was a good lap, I saw Bono making a mistake in front of me, which distracted me from my own lap, so I lost 0.2 in the final sector and lost pole there.

R: beginning was easy, didn't want to take any risks and tried a pass on Mikkonen. He counteracted impressively and took back the lead. After that Nilsson was in my slipstream and on the straight he got next to me. Our cars collided and I had damage on the left side. After that I had massive understeer and Bono could quite easy make a pass on me. The understeer made me run wide in T8 and caused a big spin, losing a lot of positions.

From that moment I just pushed like crazy, trying to leapfrog some driver by pitting in lap 20. This didnt work out, coming out of the pit in traffic. In the free air I was able to drive my normal pace and even with quite a lot older tires and a damaged car I was able to do good laptimes. I know I'm up there, and one of these races luck will be on my side..

Grats to Bono and Jaakko.. again.. Cya next week"

"Considering I didn't do a lap the last week due to work, and switched to a slightly different setup rather late, I guess the result is ok.
For some reason I had no pace in Q2 and in the first part of the race, car felt a bit strange but I tried to make the best out of it. Stayed behind Bruno and David in the first laps, I saw I had no one behind me so I could afford to pit late and enjoy some lead laps. After the stop I rejoined behind Disley, but with the awesome Mod it's almost impossible to pass if you lack a tiny bit of topspeed. Passed him eventually in lap 47 and started lapping as fast as the leaders but it was too late, cruised home. Not a very entertaining race."

"Again due to lack of time to test I didnt get to q2 and had to start long wAy back.
Had to make many overtakes so it was an exciting race also race pace seemed good but i need to start more towards the front guys to avoid losing loads of time on fighting.

Cya in sepang (again)."

"Knowing that I struggle on this track, it was not surprising to end outside top 10 in Q1, but unfortunately it compromised my strategy, which was dependant on making a good lap in Q2 on medium tires.

In the race overtaking was difficult as expected, especially with my tire choice which forced slightly conservative driving. Nevertheless, there were plenty of enjoyable moments, especially battles with Tali, De Wit and Keithley. After a late pit stop I had to take some calculated risks to reach top 10 which finally succeeded after passing Keithley and De Wit in the closing stages.

Overall not a good race in terms of pace, points mainly came thanks to strategic driving."

"After a dramatic qualify p15
I had really no hopes for the race

Had an ok start and went after 2 laps form 15th to 11th i think
Then keithley made a mistake in the famous turn 8
Then i was 10th and was trying really hard to maintain this position

I had hard fight with Saxen,Disley,Tali

4 laps form end i was almost losing my final points position to a fast recovering Disley
We made a really hard battle very agressive from both of us but it was good fun
Really happy to scoring my 1st points in the World Championship this year!!!

too Simon abedesi for highlights
( lap 1 passing saxen turn 1 and turn 2 3 4 passing disley and r room in 1 move:)

lap 4 keitley ruins wide in famous turn 8 and i pass him he nearly collects me:)

lap 6 de wit passed a foyt for 9th place

lap 48 Saxen passed de wit,de wit passes saxen agressive back

lap 51/52 Saxen passed de wit

lap 57/58
P de wit defends from Disley for the final point and de wit takes it back on a bold move on last lap on sector 1:)

"Wasn't fast enough to get top 10 in Q1.

Couldn't make much of my race pace, even with on par wings, although there were alot of double slipstreams going on so that made it even harder. Couldn't finish ahead of Dewitt. My fault about not finishing in the points this time."

"Q: Actually a bit disappointed not to make Q2 - had the pace, but I could not hook up my laps.

Race: The race was actually a lot of fun - I got a pretty good start and was trying to follow Bono through at first, but i got stuck behind Foht and I could not get by at all and then i got too close through T8 and lost the front end and went off and had a close call as i rejoined behind De Wit as that grass was well bumpy and i didnt take that into account - glad Patrick missed me anyhow.

Then had pretty much a race long scrap with De Wit, Tali & JE for that 10th spot - we all wanted it pretty bad it seemed and although it was very hard work it was hugely enjoyable at the same time. I lost out eventually and got passed by Disley as well late on to finish 12th."

"Q1: Just made it to the 10th place on last attempt, really didn't expect this as i didn't have much practise for this track.

Q2: 9th, did a mistake on turn 5 and lost time there. Would have been in 10th if Bono hadn't failed even harder.

I knew it would be hard race as i hadn't done any race stints before. Start was normal, tried to keep up with Dennis infront of me but soon i saw i had no pace and started making mistakes. Soon i got passed by De Wit, Keithley, Saxen, Tali and so on.

Later i saw my tyres wont last so i had to make 2nd pitstop. Then i was infront of Ben Phillips, i did a mistake and he passed me. Then i tried to repass him in turn 10 or was it 11, got inside to him but i think we touched (not sure as from my view he had ghostcar so didn't see him so good) so he spun, if i touched then sorry about that, wasn't intentional.
After that i was hunting down Jim Parisis, catched him and tried to overtook him some 5-6 laps left to go but i locked my brakes and had to start it all over again. 1 lap later he spun into the wall after last turn so i finished in 13th.

Not great race, hopefully will do better in Sepang next weekend."

"Q: My qual lap was not as good as I could put together so I ended up at the back of the grid.

R: My start was quite good. I gained some positions and then I gave good fights with some drivers. In the middle of the race I made my 1 and only pit stop and I accidently stole my engine! My team then restored the engine but I lost valuable time there. Then Ben Phillips made an error and we had a fight for a few laps. In lap 35 we had a hard moment as he changed his line to late so I had to react real fast there to protect my race. Last laps of the race I had the 2 stopper Allar Foht behind me. In 55th lap I was too busy talking with my team on radio and I spun the car in last corner and my race ended in this way."

"Sadly was a bad Q2, it was a pretty bad first stint, and was getting better in the second stint, catching Mikko, but then connection lost ended my hopes of reaching top 5, which, seeing all the things that happened in the race, it would have been a good result."

"Q Finally I got Q done in a good way, although in my Q2 lap I lost 3 tenthes in T1, still P6 was very good

R I dunno really what's up this year. Bad luck is striking me down every time. I was having some pc issues here in Turkey with a so far unknown reason.
Race T1 I had a lag and spun, after that recovering, I was already on P13 looking good for grabbing some points still, when my pc froze.
Although I already tried to get this through I want to again say sorry to Ernesto, who I touched in my way to optimistic and really stupid move. I'm really really sorry for that.

@Simon and the video. Not much to report from me. Had some fights in the first 18laps, I think there could be one to look in, but nothing really spectacular in my view."

"Q1: 11th, Not very good, 0,2 off my pace .

R: Very very bad, first i made jump start, what caused me drive true penalty.
After returning to track i started to catch others. First i passed Ernesto then lap 11 i passed Parisis, after that i catched Ben , on lap 16th i started to make move , but we crashed , i turned on him little bit. I stalled my engine and race was over.

Very very bad weekend for me, 0 points.

See you in sepang."
