|"I had very poor quali, ending up on 6th place.|
Had a good first lap and got to fourth place. I was following Morand out of slipstream range for some laps just to make sure I don't pressure him too much and he doesn't do mistakes, which would allow De Wit behind to catch us and try to pass. Later I passed Morand and he did his pit stop while I continued on track. After pitting Morand wasn't there which was somewhat surprising. I could continue driving around and possibly catch Mikko Puumalainen on second place. I was running out of fuel, which compromised my pace for many laps. I even did one mistake which extended Mikko's gap more. I tried to attack more on later laps. We had five laps or so to go, when I catched something like half second during one lap. After that gap was like melting away very quickly. Then we had some back markers to pass two laps to go. I catched Mikko and went to pass him in turn 1 on final lap. I could pass him while we had unfortunate contact. After that I could cruise the final lap for finish line."
|"Q1: Big struggle, didn't think I would get in to Q2 but just made it in P9|
Q2: Solid lap, nothing special but pole position!
Good start, easily kept my lead. Lead for 10 laps until Bono passed me. Was stuck behind him while he was doing god knows what and slowing us down for about 10 laps after finally pulling away.
After that I kept pushing, trying to keep a gap to Jaakko & Morgan behind.
During the pitstop I had a dejavu of Silverstone last year when Jaakko pulled right in front of my pitbox. Had to make a quick decision and manouver around him right next to the garage walls.
The 2nd stint was going fine until the 3rd to last lap, made a mistake in the middle of the 1st Lesmo which allowed Jaakko to get in my slipstream.
In the final lap he managed to pass me with a bit of a questionable move in the first chicane.
Very frustrating race after Q2, but a decent result for the championship regardless."
|"Q1 : i made a good time after 2 try. Easy to pass Q2 Q2 : i took full risk to make a time, close to bono, qualified 3rd, good to pass without wreck the first chicane. Race : I started with very good reaction time, when i saw that i cannot overtake bono and mikko i slow down and pass the first chicane hoping that behind me nobody hit me. after bono mistake i was 2nd at the end of lap 1 but the precision cars were too much quick on straight line with the same grip in slow corner. I push very hard the car in the first stint but not enough to catch them. Mikkonen pass me very easy before pitstop, my tyres were too used, i decided to make a early pitstop to overtake mikkonen. But when i came back on track, hirrle is just in front of me and i couldn.t get advantage of this pitstop. When i saw that i had not the pace to catch precision cars, i didn't take full risk and drive safe to get points for the team ( i loose 40pts minimum with my stupid mistakes ) . P4 for me is a good result here. Hope i will have the magic drive of spa in suzuka. See you on track"|
|"After Q2 I was surprised by eighth position. I was hoping to get a good start to win 1-2 positions and show my speed during the race. After the start to my regret I lost 2-3 positions. Then we were all very tight in a train and exchanged positions.|
After 2-3 laps I was stuck behind Lee and we made a great battle. He was faster than me on the straights and it was very difficult to overtake him. I overtook Lee after 4-5 laps after he cut the first chicane and then he must let me pass, then in sector 2 I made a gap with my higher wings and built a gap so I could drive away. Towards the end of the race I was one of the fastest on track and tried hard to catch up to Morand, but he already gained too much time in the first part of the race so I do not take unnecessary risks and brought the car home in 5th place.
Thanks to Damian and the rest of the GT Omega team for the hard work, the car was perfect all race, I look forward to racing the final races this year.
|"I barely tested for this one, I don't like Monza. Additionally due to the questionable modern way F1 is nowadays, I had a brake duct disadvantage with my driving style so I was 0.3s slower by default. Didn't think it was worth trying anything then.|
I started on P13, worst of the season as expected, but obviously race pace I knew would be better, especially considering there were some hotlappers ahead. Had a good start and won 2 positions right away.
After that I was battling with the group ahead of me, specially Lee, which was great fun. Passed these guys before the pitstop, after that it was boring. Then just cruised home in 6th because fuel and brakes were on the edge, luckily it lasted.
Good result for the championship. "
|"Qualified 11th, should have been Q2 but it wasn't to be.|
Was 11th still after turn 1, then I wasn't as quick and began losing positions. Then on lap 9 exiting ascari, John-Eric Saxen made a mistake and went wide, I also went wide and had a big moment, saved the car but cost me 1 or 2 positions. Was behind Jim Parisis, and could not get passed.
I pitted earlier than the others on lap 17 and that got me clean air, they were battling and I was faster.
Lap 30 I had to defend against Lee Morris into the chicane start of sector 2, and on the exit of that he spun.
Lap 32 I had John-Eric Saxen closing and he spun on the exit of the first chicane.
Lap 34 I had Karim Wezenberg on fresher tyres behind me, but he made a mistake on the exit of the Parabolica.
So I was lucky to keep my position with them making mistakes.
Lap 48 John-Eric Saxen had caught back up, but he DNF and I had enough of a gap to keep 7th place."
Q1 - Was great if i did best lap was easy pole, and Jim was up there too !
Q2 - Not so good, the cars pace on race setup was pretty bad and only managed 9th
Race - Was awful early on, car was so bad as we feared in warmup it was going to be...
I managed to hold a train of 13 cars off for 17 laps but then a few got past and we stuggled to stay in the points, it was only due to defending hard and good timed pitstops that we scored today, we made a mistake in setup so hands up was my fault..
I want to apologise to everyone who i held up lol"
|"Q1: made a really bad time so only p14 on the grid.|
Race: race was boring because of the lack of top speed. I also had to use more brake ducts so i lost 0.2-0.3 sec per lap because of that.
No much more to say, had some fun fights but as car had damages from first laps, i only done my best to stay on track for having some points."
|"Q1: Was a bit dissapointed with the result p15 with only Mohammed Patel behind me.|
R: I could get a tow on the guys in front of me and also gain a few positions because of driver errors in front. I could go a bit faster so i pitted a bit early on to gain advantage with fresh rubber on it. But due to a car failure i lost a few seconds after the pitstop. I just came that amount of time behind those guys i was chasing. Nothing won and nothing lost. Then i could do nothing more and cruised to the end.
Scored my first point in my first WC race.
Grats to Bono who had a really good drive and also my teammate Dian who did a massive job to place our car in 5th position.

Q2: I made my personal best hotlap for Q2 and I got my best starting position in FSR! Really happy about this!
Race: Since we changed to Race session, my computer acted really strange. In T1, T2 and Ascari I was getting frozen screens in every lap! I couldn't drive with these issues but I gave my best for the team. In 1st lap i couldn't see almost nothing cause of frozen screens so I lost control of the car and got into the grass in T2. I let everyone pass me just to be sure everyone will be safe. After that my race was quite clean, except of the incedent where I lost my front wing and I forced to pit. Finally I finished in 11th position without scoring any points today.
Disappointed race overall but good qualify. I have to get it together sometime..."
|"Started last. Got up to P13 after the start. A few laps in I passed Blair into T2 around the outside (After DDM passed him at Parabolica the lap before) |
I was battling with JES a lot and he passed me in Lap 11 Turn 1, but I passed him back around the outside in Turn 2, Same thing happened 2 laps later but I Went a bit deep into T2 so he got the cutback on me. On lap 15 me and vd. Linden swapped places in T1 and Curve Grandé. The following lap I got passed DDM in Lesmo 2 but he passed me back on the next lap aswell!
I kept up with the group ahead until my stop, and when JES exited the pits I was too busy looking at him and went wide in t1 which gave me a stop and go.
I was running at the back from then, but with Jim having a extra stop me and him had a nice fun battle from lap 40 - 48 where we swapped positions a number of times. Unfortunately on the last lap I lost my front left brake I think, and was going straight accross T1 where Mikko and Jaakko were. Luckily I slotted in between them. Sorry for that guys!"
|"Not the race I was expecting from Monza. I felt a lack of confidence under braking, especially into turn 1, causing problems both in the qualifying and in the race.|
I was reasonably happy with my first stint, managing to make up some ground, foremost passing both Twister-Racing cars at the same time on lap 16. The progress, however, stopped when I got stuck behind Lee for what seemed like an eternity. I got my car ahead a couple of times but he always passed me on the following straight, so clearly I failed to make the final decisive move.
After the pit stops things settled down as I was catching the top, spun once, but re-overtook the Twister cars again after their accident. At this point it was, however, too late, as the brakes had taken a too large beating from the earlier battles. Thanks to GhostSpeed for their support, hopefully this was the first and last silly retirement of the season."
|"After yesterday's mistake i was motivated to have a good result today, but it wasn't to be......|
Q1: a PB obviously, but i knew if i put the sectors together i could do a time like that, i would have preffered a P2 in Q2 obviously but it was nice to be up there.
Q2: i felt the lap wasn't too bad, but it was still half a second off so not very good, but still plenty of oppurtunity from P7.
Race: I was careful at the start to keep my wings and Pat and Lee passed by braking later. Then we were all in the train offcourse, trying to keep my wings and find a way past Lee if possible while keeping it clean. It was quite intense and fortunately the group was quite respectful on track so we could all keep our wings.
When i finally cleared all the traffic i was finally able to show my pace in clean air before the pitstop. After the stop i was concerned about my brakes being in traffic so long, so i was saving them a bit behind Blair.
All the laps in testing i did not once spin at the exit of Ascari, i felt so safe through there all race long, but the car just went and there was nothing i could do.......
Strange how things go, you can be in an 5-8 car train and get out of there with no damage, but then retire in a corner where u have had no issues at all, quite dissapoiting..........

R - Got an average start and was battling Hirrle and I almost got past him on Lesmo 2. Start of the next lap there was a small pile up in T1 and I hit the rear of Hirrle and lost f.wing (sorry if I caused damage) After that it was a whole lap with no f.wing. Came out of pits 30 seconds behind car infront but was pushing mentally and setting consistent high 24's. When I came out the pits on my planned pit stop was 10 seconds behind Vd Linden and gaining fast. but on T5 I caught the gravel and slammed the wall - Race over

Well I practiced a lot for this event, because Monza is a track where I normally have some difficulties to be fast. Finally the set was good and I was quite confident in my qual and race pace. In qual it was pretty good and I could qualify 4th, near my "Q2" pb. The start was a little hard for me but I could keep my position. Unfortunately Jaakko was too strong for me and he overtook quite easily. Also I was a little stressed as it was longtime since I had such a good position in race in WC. So I was doing mistakes on track, missing apexes. I lost some other places in the next laps. I could catch back my position on Karim Wezenberg, but unfortunately he touched me in the first Lesmo and I crashed heavily. I tried to keep on racing, after repairing the car, but was too hard. So it was finnished. I'm still looking forward for the next race in Japan (like it !)
