Comment: What an unexpected result !
I had some difficulties with the car here, Thanks to Silverline/ATR Management, Alberto and Martin who did a fantastic job to get me up to speed..

Q1 : I had some traffic on every lap, on my fastest lap, i need to slow down in the chicane because a car have spun in front of me. 5th is a miracle.
Q2 : I made mistake on each corner... lucky to be in 1.29.1 which gave me the 5th place.
Race : With Bono.s disconnection, i am 4th in grid but i lost position to mikkonen, that he gave me back at the end of the S1 caused by a little mistake. I improved my pace each lap and i could overtake lapchin, thanks for him to not defend a lot his position. I caught Hirrle but with the slipstream i could not be close. I waited that the tyres became bad to overtake him with a sato style overtake at chicane. He wanted to overtake me in turn one, i was in front of him but i gave him not so much place and he touched kerbs. So i looked on the XD that Disley pit on lap 16 and he was faster than us. As Puumailainen was in front of me i decide to pit earlier than expected to keep my position to Disley and gain time to puumailainen. When he made his pitstop, i was 0.8s behind him. We caught Rouault who did not pit and the lap 26/27/28 was awesome. I needed to cut the chicane, without that i would do a strike.
At lap 28 i overtook Puumailainen outside in turn 1. What a move ! He was close to me all the time and i needed to push 120% to maintain the 1s gap. He took the 1st place again but he made mistake in spoon corner and with slipstream i could overtake him. It was a great and hard fight with him ! The tyres, consumption and the engine wear was good to be quick until the 53rd lap. It.s my first win here. I am proud of this and this is the result of 6months of hard work with ATR Silverline. Thanks to Disley who is 4th who takes point for constructor championship !

Comment: Q1: Quite difficult again, definitely not my biggest strength. P10
Q2: Solid lap again like in Monza, P2

Race:

I was surprised to not see Bono lining up for the grid, I assumed he had gone over the timelimit to get on the grid. After the race I heard he had an rFactor crash though, shame for him since he had the best pace clearly.

After that I just tried to focus on doing my own race, took a clean start and lead for the first stint with Denny & Morgan about 3s behind me.

I decided to pit 2 laps after Morgan because I was pretty sure Denny would pit 1 lap after him, so I didn't want to risk blocking him in our pitbox.

Exiting the pits I rejoined about 0.8s in front of Morgan and was pulling away slightly until I caught Rouault. Took quite long to pass him despite the tire advantage, and after this Morgan was in my slipstream and was able to pass me quite easily since I had chosen to run more downforce.

I managed to pass him once in to T1, but I made a mistake in the Spoon corner, nearly ending my race but in the end just lost one position.

I made another mistake in the Spoon some laps later which allowed Denny to pass me, but he let me back through on the main straight, thanks for that :).

Had a few more close battles with Morgan afterwards in to the final chicane and in to T1, but I was not able to time the slipstream right to get past.

With about 7 laps to go I noticed my fuel was quite critical, I tried to save for a few laps and then tried to make one last push again. But for the final lap I noticed the fuel was way too low, and I had to cruise quite heavily to avoid running out. After a lap full of coasting my engine started to cough exiting the final chicane, so I barely made it thanks to my last lap efforts.

Congrats to Morgan for his first win, I'm still happy with my own result, wasn't expecting much from this race.

Comment: Not sure what to say, I guess after Bono retired in the formation lap it would have been worth to test a little more to make this an easy win, but then again I was too careless and preferred to enjoy other things.
Wasn't very nice to drive here because the Mod has too much grip and the beauty of Suzuka was destroyed, as a consequence the field was very close and qualifying was important, luckily I did a good lap in Q2 and was 4th, effectively 3rd.
To the race start and I passed Lapchin into T1 which was crucial. Then I noticed my fuel calculation sucked and I was forced to shortshift almost the whole race.
In lap 15, Morand passed me, in lap 16 I passed him back on the outside of T1, but he pushed me wide in T2, so couldn't make it stick. Went back to do some shortshift waiting for what would happen later.
Pitstops saw not much change, eventually Morand got past Mikko, I tried to stay close as good as I could for the circumstances. Mikko once lost it slightly in spoon, let him back past because I just couldn't challenge for the win if I wanted to finish.

Good result anyway, the team wanted us to get P2 in the constructors which we kinda did, so, nice.

Comment: For some reason didn't have as good qualifying pace as the others, but thankfully made it to q2 but only managed 7th on the grid.

Race I pitted early to try and get ahead, and it worked gaining 2 positions, but Lapchin was able to get passed me. I later caught back up with him and was able to get back ahead, and towards the end of the race Mikkonen was catching very quickly as he had much much freshser tyres. I think he was one of the last to pit. Thankfully there was enough of a gap to just hold him off though and crossed the line in 4th place. Congrats to Morand!

Comment: Q1 : I tried to save a good first lap. It was good enough to be sure I could pass. P1
Q2 : Was a good lap for me, around what I could best expect. P3

Race : The start wasn't really bad but Dennis could overtake me quite easily. First turn was quite risky for me as I lost a bit the rear on the kerb in the braking zone but I could manage to save it. Jaakko put pressure on me in first lap but he quickly got overtaken by Morgan. I managed to keep Dennis in my view for the next 4/5 laps but Morgan put pressure on me and overtook me in the back straight. I was P4 then. I could keep a good pace and stay not far behind Morgan. Jaakko was a little 2 sec behind me. After that Morgan and Dennis were fighting and I could get closer, but still wasn't able to catch Dennis, who was finally 3rd.

The stop was good at lap 22 but Blair got in front of me because he pitted earlier. After my stop I was 8th behind Blair (virtually 5th). I quickly got closer as I had newer tires and could overtake him at lap 31 at the chicane. Then I could pull away a little bit and try to catch Dennis again who was 3rd. I was getting closer but I was pushing too much and rear tires began to overheat. I made a little mistake in the double right Degner curves and Blair got in my engine back again. He overtook me quite easily at lap 42. Then I was struggling with my tires and Jaakko was trying to overtake me over several laps. He overtook me at lap 48 in First Curve. One of the greatest overtake ! I was 6th then and finnished in this position with much used tires.

Quite a good result for though I think I could do a better race, without using too much the tires. I'm happy with qual results.

Comment: Q1: I made a good lap witch permit me to do q2.

Q2: Like yesterday, was impossible to make a good lap so p10 on the grid.

Race: I had to avoid Mallorqui at start because he stalled on the grid.
After that i was p13 and i had to avoid 1 crash and later 1 car flying in the chicane: with all this problems in first laps i was lucky to get no damage from that.
So was p8 and after some laps, De Wit made a mistake so was p7. After had to clear way but i made some mistakes so Stephane was able to close the gap before i pitted.
After pit, not much more to say, i done the best i can but was never able to catch the guys front so p7 at the end.

Comment: Once again my computer had issues so every session ruined cause of this.

Q: p14. Couldn't do more with the problems I had. Onw thing that I want to say is that Room made a really bad move on me in last shicane before the start of my 1st hotlap. No comment...

R: A really eventful 1st lap for me! In the start a car stoled infront of me and I just avoid him, losing some places there. After s1 my teammate Luka spun and I just avoided him as well. Lucky to make the right decisions in both situations. And again after 1 corner 2 cars spun infront and avoided them as well! And guess what, in last shicane 2 cars went off track and I had to avoid them! Then I had Roualt behind me untill I made a mistake in lap 3 and he passed me. Then a really ambitious Mr. Raino Room tried some really really bad moves on me in some corners and finally he reached his goal and took me off track by hitting me. No comment again..... Then I had a very good fight with Mark Aalberts with some very good moves by him and me, and after 5 laps he took the position. After this I had a quite race. I gained a place cause Roualt crashed and 5 laps before the finish Mark made a driving error that putted me 1.5 seconds infront of him. I kept thus gap till the finish and I got a decent 8th place finish.

Whole race I had again problem with my computer that didn't allow me to have my normal pace.
I am very disapointed by this as I had the chance of 2 very good results last 2 races.
I hope the problem will be fixed for the next 2 races.

Congrats to Morand for his first win!
Well deserved m8!

Comment: Q: No Q due to late allocation although was lacking Q pace anyway so would have started in the backfield afteral.

R: Got a good start and slowly climbed my way up the field some by driving and some by mistakes from other drivers. Some great fight with Jim for some laps with a few times changing positions and side by side action with some respect. Great racing there, now after 3 years taking part in a WC race again i didnt expected points would be possilbe but mayby im underestimating myself, although in the end i still finished a minute down on the leaders wich is a lot.

Made my debut in WC for Ash 7 years ago so great to be in this car again and scoring a few points for them.

Comment: Was disappointing race for me. Qualifiying laps were poor and I deserved my 15th position. Start was good, I was able to pass 3-4 cars who crashed. After half a lap I gained another 2 poisitons due to spins. In the end of the lap I was 8th, but into last chicane I went too aggressively and flipped over. In the next lap I spun coming out of T2 and lost my front wing. Everything was lost.
After all that, I was hoping that more people would crash, and I would be able to take home some points, but wasn't to be. Had bad luck, but looking forward to the next race and hope to get some points there. Cya

Comment: I was a replacement for Lee. I din't have much time to prepare. Shame he couldn't race.

I was quite happy, managed 1 30 in q1. It was off the pace of leaders, but it was personal best for me. Did only 3 practice laps for quali just before the official practice.

Start went well. In lap 1 i made a silly mistake in T8, touched inside curb and spun out. All i saw out of the smoke is my teammate who barley missed me. That would be a lousy lap 1 for us if i would take both of our cars out. Luckily that didn't happen.
After that i had quite lonely race. Had softer tires that the competition so i was struggling at the end of each stint.
Shame i din't have more time to prepare. Was loosing everything in 3-4 corners in S2 where i was lacking confidence in my car.
Not sure what lap, but at the end of the race i made a stupid mistake. Just a bit to tight line on the exit of T11, just a bit to much power on the gas pedal, hit the wall, and stalled the engine. Shame. At least i coul finish the race. I hate DNFs.

Congrats to the podium and most of all to Morgan for his 1st win. And all so to my team mate Jim for finishing in points.

Comment: Q1 - 13th, Not a good lap
R - Promoted to 12th as Huis disco but at the start Mallorqui stalled and I hit him and I then had terminal damage to the front, Saxen also had problems in lap 1 and we both had same pit box, I waited for him and then had a 29 pit stop. Afterwards I was chasing Kostadinov and at one point we spun at the same corner. After that I did my planned stop but further in I caught the kerb in on T2 and stalled it after a few spins.

Comment: Q1: didnt get my right lap, 12th , not good
R: had many incidents, first i crashed with saxen on first lap , sorry saxen, couldnt avoid hit, and then if i was back on track, started following aalberts , then i got past him, and then started fighting with jim, he was littlebit slower than me, i wanted to pass him fast, so i taked aggressive moves, sorry for that Jim, yeah i think it was too aggressive. Then i passed Jim with late braking and pushed him wide,i didnt want to brake so late, but it happened. Then crashed on lap 11 , stucked on curb with high speed and crashed to the wall. Hope next race will be better.

Comment: Third year in a row I lost a wing on the first laps of this track. After finally making a good Q1 and somewhat less good Q2 I was in a reasonable position, but running slightly wide on the kerb of Degner 1 made the car lose some speed and thus Room to hit my rear, in turn causing him to spin and hit me again. After an extra pit stop I was driving on the limits in order to catch the 40 second deficit to the last point position, and it didn't pay off well.

Hopefully the final races will bring some safe finishes and more points after a few weak races.
