|"The strong form in winter test kept our team positive for the first round of the Championship.|
With very intense testing programmes, and a lot of hard work, it was a great relief to see it payd of in the end.
Now its just a matter of keeping the shape and deliver through all season!
Q1 : I made only one lap with Q1 setup and the 2 others try in Q2 setup.
Traffic could be difficult, but our strategy for Q1 turned out to be quite good. P3 in the end, for me is good.
Q2 : 10minutes on hold, waiting for my lap, make it very difficult to not stress, as i watched stoffels lap i was confident for the pace of my car!
I made my lap. My target for this lap was to be safe and to do no mistakes in the 1st and 2nd sector, and then attack maximum in the 3rd sector.
After my turn i was surprised that Nilsson and Huis wasnt faster. So i made POLE... I was surprised. 1st pole in WC! I am very proud to experience this part of a race [:)]
Also proud to drive a Senna Tribute car, wearing Senna.s helmet, and then do what he did best - Pole position ! Im sure the helmet helped me
Race : I made a good start, keeping Vandoorne and Huis behind me.
Vandoorne and Huis had quite a good battle, and this allowed me to make a gap of 8sec between me and stoffel.
Huis then overtook Vandoorne on lap 10, with a little bump and after that he had clean air to catch me.
Lucky for me, the pace of huis wasnt overwhelming, and i was able to keep it under control, and build on the gap when needed.
I was a little worried for the gap to Huis when i allmost stalled in my 2nd stop, but overall my pit stops were very good, and i could manage the gap.
I kept the gap of 8s for the rest of the race between me and bono, and same time i was able to save the material as well.
On the final lap all seemed ok for taking the win and the car was ok as well, so i was told by my engineer to make a fastest lap of the race on last lap, and i did!
An amazing weekend for us here downunder, pole, fastest lap, and a win. We could not have asked for more.
Im sad the race didnt go well for my teammate Lapchin, but with his speed and experience, im sure he will come back strong!
I dedicate this pole, fastest lap and win to Ayrton Senna - The greatest racing driver of all time.
I feel very blessed with this result!

|"My Q2 wasn't good at all, I noticed there was less grip than before so I was struggling a bit. Still I should have done better, I could have easily qualified 2nd, but I qualified 3rd instead. I tried to pass Stoffel in the 1st lap but he defended quite well and I lost a lot of time behind him in the next 8 laps. After I passed Stoffel I tried to close the gap to Morgan, we were very close in terms of laptime so there was not much I could do with an 8 second gap. So the rest of the race was quite boring, in the end I can be happy with P2, maximum possible result considering all events."|

Practice: I allready could see that my pace was strong compared to the top drivers like Morand, Huis, Puumalainen,Nillson... So I was looking forward to qualify.
Qualify 1: Had a quite good qualify. First lap was bad with trafic and mistakes by myself. My 2nd try was good for P4 and decided to have another try to practice Q2.
Qualify 2: Had a really good lap. P2 behind Morgan Morand. Really didn't expect this.
Warmup: All ok, getting used to the high fuel load and that it. Preparing race setup...
Race: Had a good start. Could keep my position, but could allready feel I didn't had such a great speed. I had to defend a lot to Huis. Because of this Morgan could drive away quite a lot.
When I made some mistake, Huis could overtake. Later in the lap Nilsson overtook me also, but made directly my attack at the next corner. From there on I had better pace and I drove a quite lonely race. Congrats to everybody for the great organisation and racing ;)
|"Well what can I say, wrong strategy!! But nonetheless it was good, a solid P4, but it is important to know that speed is there and the feeling with the race is good, not so with the mod, is very, robotic style let's say. I didn't make huge mistakes, I think one on lap 5 or 4, and then start lap 19 Mallorqi kind of dive bombed on me, but, it was a 50-50 decision for him i think, no hard feelings. Apart from these 2 events, everything was smooth and I drove a smart race."|
|"Wonderful weekend since I am in Formula Sim-Racing and I finished in 5th place at FSR World Championship, which proves the great performance we had.|
Q1: I had technical issues so I only had two shots to try get inside Q2 but I did awful laps that made it impossible to be in Q2, in the end I was 14th.
Race: I had a perfect start from the middle of the grid, overtaking a lot of cars in the first, second and third turns and I managed to put the car in 10th place.
Then at the start of second lap Yannick Lapchin was trying to overtake Raino Room and he lost traction in the exit of first turn, so I got his slipstream and I overtook him in the braking of the third turn in a clean move. The next car was Raino Room so I got as close as I could and I made a great pass around the outside in T13, achieving the 8th place. Unfortunately he lost the control of his car, because of our contact, and Yannick Lapchin touch his rear wing taking both outside of the track.
After this crazy start I had free track to get my pace and try to catch Marcel vd Linden. On lap 7 I could get his slipstream and I made an inside move into turn one which give me the 7th place. Then I caught the group of Stoffel Vandoorne, Fredrik Nilsson, Rasmus Tali and David Greco in lap 11, and I won another place passing Rasmus Tali, who had to go almost outside of the track in fourth turn because of the battle. Then I tried some moves to overtake David Greco but it was impossible because of his great defensive driving, I lost traction in the exit of the second turn and that allowed Rasmus Tali to overtake me in the T3 but luckily he braked late and he went into the gravel losing a lot of time. So finally I tried some more moves to overtake David Greco without luck and I decided to stay behind him saving fuel and engine until my first stop.
At that time I had a free track again to get my pace back until David Greco was exiting the pits and I overtook him in a very risky move at T3. I get a clear track to put some distance between myself and him.
At the end of the race I was in a very comfortable 5th place but my teammate, Fredrik Nilsson, was catching me very fast, so after pushing hard in the final lap he passed me in T1, but luckily for me, he had a brake failure at T9, so I had a fantastic 5th position.
This is my best result so far in Formula Sim-Racing and I am very proud of it. Thanks to Twister-Racing for give me this fantastic chance and I hope to keep this amazing performance for the whole season, but it will be very hard."
|"Not a very good qualifying, with 4th I knew fighting for the win would be very hard when it's almost impossible to overtake.|
Got an OK start, fourth through the first turn behind Bono and Vandoorne. They fought quite hard in front of me, almost making me come through at some points, but with this tight track it was hard to sneak past.
Eventually Bono passed Vandoorne, and I was about to do the same a couple of laps later. I was on the inside for braking at turn 2, but Vandoorne braked diagonally from the outside right into me, almost making me spin. Very questionable move. Later I made a mistake in the fast ess, touching the wall. Luckily it happened about when the first stop was due, but I lost precious time and had damage the rest of the race.
From then on it was damage limitation which worked out fine, p6 in the end. P5 was about to happen, but my brakes failed in the end so I had to let go of it. Great job by my team mate Eduardo who finished a strong 5th.
Encouraging from this race is that we for sure have the pace to fight for wins, despite losing very valuable persons in the off season, and all the other things that happened. So big thanks to Twister-Racing Team. Let's hope we can put up a problem free fight at Sepang."

Q2: Should have been more aggressive. P7
R: I got a good start and gained one place.
On lap 11 T3-4 I had a chance to become 3rd but I was pushed wide twice so ended up on 7th. Next lap again at turn 3 I was forced onto gravel and this time I lost even more time and another place.
Lap 14 pit stop was really crazy, many cars pitting at the same time in front of me and before me.
I lost tiny amount of time on my second pit (lap 29) and because of that Jaakko managed to just pass me into T1 and I had to drive behind him several laps.
That was how most of my race was like, small unfortunate holdups adding up.
On lap 37 last couple of corners I managed to get by Mikko.
Last stint was the first time I could drive in clean air and nothing special happened.
Overall it is encouraging that even though we had some problems with preparations and the setup could have been better the overall speed was good. With clean race we had pace to challenge for 3rd or 4th place so I am looking forward to Malaysia and see if we are able to improve.
Also big thanks to whole GT Omega team for their work and hopefully we have better results ahead of us."
|"I had a problem in qualifying that was my own fault and only got 2 runs, only quick enough for 13th on the grid.|
Race I lost some positions at turn 1 but gained some positions due to others having problems. My 2 stop strategy enabled me to also leapfrog other cars who were 3 stopping.
I do believe I was held up, in the first stint I was in a train lead by Varga which held me up, and in my last stint I was held up by Puumalainen. I was lucky that he made a mistake and I could pass in the closing laps. 8th place is where I finished which compared to qualifying is good."
|"Q1: 24.6, shocking time, no excuses|
Took a careful start, people were falling off the road quite frequently so I got up to 13th from 18th in a couple laps.
Managed to narrowly avoid a spinning Silverline on lap 1 T4. On the second lap in the final corner I came across a spinning GhostSpeed I think and tried to avoid but made light contact with my front left, didn't seem to pick up any damage though.
Lap 3 I was being careful not to get tangled up with the 2 Netrex and a MakCorp fighting in T3-4 and I lost a position to Jaakko.
Lap 15 I was following Jaakko in T1-2 when he lost traction behind another car and I touched his left rear with my right front. Unfortunately he lost some positions and my steering was bent. I decided not to repair it in the pits because I felt every second was crucial to try to get at least some points.
Lap 42 T1 I managed to pass Disley when he exited the pits, was my only positive from the race.
For the last ~5 laps I was struggling a lot, trying to keep my 8th position. I made a mistake in the final corner on lap 56, allowing Disley to take the place. 9th place in the end is better than nothing considering the struggle that this race has been.
Not expecting any better from Sepang, hopefully China will bring some improvements."

well qualifying 1 was not what i expected beforehand
managing only a 22nd place
Then i was not able to take part in q2 for top 10 shootout
So had my focus on the race my car was not ok in q
In race it was a bit better
The start i managed to pass many drivers and at the end of lap 1 i was 14th
Then at the start of the 2nd lap i managed to pass both Netrex
And at the end of lap 3 i was 9th
After my pitstop i had to defend hard from Nilson and eventually he passed me
When i crossed the finish line i was overjoyed!!!!!!!!
With my 10th place having no pace at all
This feels like a victory to me!!!Happy te score a point on my mak debut!

|"Well, it wasn't a bad race. On the Q1 i was very slow, we didn't test very much with low fueled car, so i was only the 16th. , On the race i had some problems in the first and second stint, i had a fight with De Wit, where - my opinion - he didn't give me any space, any i nearly went into the wall. I let Peter pass, and i went behind him, but after the third stint i passed him in the pit. Then i had to save the engine, because at the finish, i had a 2%-engine. I hope we'll be faster in Malaysia, i like that track more, than the australian one."|
|"Well it was not a bad debut race. I started from 17 position and finnished at 12th. After the start my main goal was to not get in any trouble. With this tactics I moved up from 17.th to 11th..At lap 3 I 'v have overtake my teammate, and take 10th place.. after the first pitstops I also gain a position.. and move up to 9th.. sadly I drove in a slipstream a lot and my engine didn't liked that and it get really hot, so I had to short shift and save my engine during at the second half of the race to get to the finnish line. Because of that i couldn't be as fast as I want, so I loose positions and only finnish at 12th. I hope we will not have any engine problem next race, and we will improve our race pace.. "|
|"I was replacing Giuseppe Marconi for this race in Faster Than Speed.|
My qualification was very poor. I did most of my practise on race setup and it seemed to be working ok, so I didn't worry about my starting position too much.
Race started and oh wow, there were cars going off everywhere! I was lucky to avoid contacts there. After few laps i was around 11th place till the first stops. Bono had done his first stop on lap 14 and rejoined track front of me. I had to brake to avoid contact with him. On same situation Puumalainen was too close behind me and hit me damaging my car. I lost couple places there and few important seconds. I continued couple more laps since car wasn't too damaged and I still had fuel left. I spent those laps considering whether I should fix the damage on pit stop. I eventually decided to fix it, which cost around 3 extra seconds. I rejoined track on 14th place.
Rest of the race wasn't very interesting. I had pace to be on points, but the difficulties with passing and time I lost earlier pushed me too far behind.
I'd like to thank Christian Smirnoff for giving a seat for this race. Shame I couldn't score any points for his team.

|"Q1 - 24:6 Was an awful lap and lost over 3 tenths in S3 where I have been struggling all the time.|
R - Got a good start but I was avoiding all the wrecks and sadly saw both my team mates crashed or had problems. Not been happy at all with my pace in the last few days but I was loosing around 5-7 tenths in S3 alone in race which was terrible. I was stuck behind the 2 stopping Disley and Puumalainen which was my original strategy. My pace was around 6 tenths of what I was doing in practice but I was still fighting with the Netrex guys with whom I did have a good battle with some times especially once with Peter Varga when he came out of the pits I attempted to pass around the outside of T2 which didnt work out.
Overall im not too satisfied as I could of fought for a point atleast but onto Malaysia. Congrats to Morgan on his dominating win."
|"My season starts have traditionally been poor and this year made no exception. I was struggling a lot with slower cars ahead in qualifying and only managed to set one decent lap time on the final attempt, which unfortunately was a few tenths off the top 10 this time.|
In the race my luck lasted two corners, after which a blue car, I reckon Masciulli, spun in front of me, leaving no room and time for reaction. After front-wing repairs I was already 40 seconds behind the point battles, so I decided to drive safely and hope for retirements. Unfortunately none came, so I finished on the same position as where I started at.
It was a shame I couldn't score points for Faster Than Speed in my debut, but I think the next few tracks should suit my style better, as I struggle at the moment with riding the kerbs the proper way with this mod."

|"my target in q1 was 10-13 place, but unfortunately in i wrong T1 and i lost 0,1-0,2 sec...|
In the race, was difficult don't have a contact with other cars..and after 4 corner i broke suspension and front wing and i must entry to pit stop for 25 seconds, and i wrong to add fuel and load 60 litres,for a total 130 litres :-( the car is undriveble and with soft and many laps i lost control in corner 4...the end of race for me."

At the start it seems I was too much safe, and Dian and I made contact in the exit of turn 1. It was impossible for me to avoid him. Then I lost 2 places because of that. Eduard made a good pass the lap after, and trying to follow closely the fight in front of me (including Eduard I think), they touched and couldn't avoid them again, loosinig my front wing. I stopped to repair but the race was not interesting at all. I tried my best to bring back points, but they were too far away, and I made a mistake which led me to a retirement.
Thank you for the first race."
|"Had a really good Q1. I was in P8 with still 1 min to go. Unfortunaly Dian and Jim where going a bit faster so P11 was the result. Not bad with this strong field.|
Race was not what i hoped for. Good start and could maintance P7 to almost first stint. Then at braking point on split 1 the rear touched the grass and lost it all. I could get the engine on so i could restart my race on P14. After guys in front pitted i just forgot that i needed to pit to and ran out of fuel.
Bad start but we have a strong team with a good car. Especially the teamwork with the engineers are really good.
Hopefully i can get points in the next race."
|"A race that i want to forget that ever happened. My Q1 was not what i had in mind. I had time to be in the top 10 but from my mistakes i was far away from my times. So starting from P23 was not the best way to start my first FSR race. The red lights is out and the only thing i had in mind was to stay out of trouble. My race pace was good and i was feeling the car very well. In a few laps i was allready in P16. Hard breaking in T8 to prevent a crash to the very early breaking of the driver in front of me and out of the track with a los of +3 seconds. After that i was begging to find my pace and i was closing to the guys in front very fast. A stupid mistake in T4 brought the end of the race for me and i was very disappointed cause i had the pace to get probably in the top 10. Anyway things like that happens so eyes at front and looking forward for some "payback" in Malaisia.|
Since its the first time that i am making a comment here i want to say that i am happy to be here and "fighting" with the big boys."

My race ended on Lap2(s3) if i had contact with Eduard Mallorqui, tried to avoid spun but lapchin slammed to my back. This incident was racingincident so no protests by me.

I made an ok lap and I got 10th place.
Q2: I wanted a clean lap but after T1 sonehow the front left tyre touched the grass and... boom
Race: After a very careful start, I lost a place so I was 11th.
Lap 1 was ok, I wanted to see what other drivers will do and they did a mistake taking two cars out just infront of me. I got 9th place and in the last left hander corner, the guy infront lost his brake point, so I was more careful there. But the NetRex driver behind me tried to overtake me from the outside. On the exit of that corner, I kept my line and I left much room to him for his car, but he just drove on me. He spun me, I hitted the wall and that was it.
I'm speechless after this"

|"My first race in WC was not too lucky, I did not a great job in qualify because I could be in q2. I started 12 and my race finished in first lap after some contacts, that was very disappointing. Anyway, I am happy because i am fast enough to be in top 10 in WC, and this is great. Doing more experience I will be very confident to race in WC also, I am far from my limit."|
