|"I was quite happy this time with my qualifying performance, it was the maximum possible result. I expected Morgan to be very fast in the race so I had to try everything in the 1st lap to pass him and I did in turn 2, but I braked too early for T4 so I lost the place again. I was pushing a lot in the 1st stint and the car was sliding a bit in the dirty air of Morgan so towards the end of the stint I was losing more and more time because of tyre wear. Fortunately Morgan had a slow pitstop so I passed him and after that I was surprisingly increasing the gap. The gap was around 2.5s after our final pitstops, Morgan pitted a bit later so he had the advantage in the last stint and was closing in. I lost a lot of time after being held up on purpose by Masciulli and that allowed Morgan to really get close, fortunately he couldn't try an overtake...or so I thought. Great win and looking forward to China."|

Sepang, a track which i am not to happy about !
I made one lap with Q1 setup. Which was 1.31.3, a good lap, enough to pass Q2.
For the Q2 lap i waited a long time. I am very confident with the feeling of the car so i was calm.
I went out my box. S1 and S2 perfect. In S3 i did not push maximum, no need to gain more time since allready provisional pole!
After the lap was done - POLE POSITION - 2 pole positions in a row.. it is fantastic !
Great start, with pretty good reaction time, I close the inside, Huis went on my outside.
I had very poor grip during the 2 first corners so he overtook me.
I tugged in behind him, staying in the slipstream, before the next corner i force him to block the inside
so i could pass on the outside line with better braking, Bono felt for the trick, and it worked.
During the first stint, all was ok.
I went in pits, braked safely, and 7.5s duration for the stop! This allowed huis to pass me...
In the 2 following laps, i tried to overtake Huis, with a little help of the traffic. It almost succeded!!
After, He tried to push a lot with his agressive stint but i keept in control of the gap at a fair margin!
Then the 2nd pitstop, which was 8.5s but the gap between me and bono was the same.
Even with 1 lap less worth of fuel in the tank, Bono did not make the difference on laptimes
and in the sametime i was able to maintain the gap, nursing my engine,
to have enough power/enginelife for the last decisive stint!
Huis pitted 2 laps before me. So i had an advantage of performance and tyres.
I closed the gap quickly. But when i was within the 0.5s gap, dirty air hampered me.
As an effect by this, in the hairpin in S2 i lost 0.3s each time...
During the last 2 laps Bono.s calculation and tyre use were hurting him!
I was very close. i could attack him. During the 6 laps behind bono. i saw he broke very smooth/earlie.
So in T1 of last lap. i broke very hard and late to pass him. but it was not possible since Bono turned a little more directly on corner.
A bit too optimistic, and it is 100% my fault the touch, i am not stupid and i have to blame myself. If i would have overtaken Bono, i would give the position back for sure!! ( like the incident with Poniatowski in Istanbul 2010 ) Congrats to bono for his win !
After all, P2 is not a bad result, we have reason for celebration!
But surely we want to take many more victory.s during the 2012 season!
We have the speed in Qualify sessions, and in the race - So its very satisfying to be in this position!

Start was good however, so I was third out of first corners, and stayed there for the remainder of the race. So to Simon, nothing special to say.
I knew the pace of the front runners this time was unreachable for me. I made new personal bests in hitting the escape button hard during testing for this race. Car was not good, not fast, and it was frustrating not being able to improve it to get where we wanted to be. So considering this, we had 3rd place in mind today, meaning mission accomplished. The margin to the guys ahead was a bit embarassing though, so we must try to recover for China. I doubt much will change in that race, but it should suit my driving better at least.

Q2: Did first Q2 lap with that setup but was still expecting more. P5
R: First laps I passed Jim and De Wit. After that I was trying to catch Nilsson but today I had bit of bad luck with pit stop times so everything I gained in stints I lost in pit stops.
On a side note I think some of the back markers could do better job getting out of the way there were some dangerous situations and also quite a big amount of time lost (same was happening in Australia).
Coming out of 2nd pit stop I locked up going into T1 with cold brakes and tyres and ran into side of Mikko (sorry for that). I got side damage but fortunately it did not slow me down too much.
Overall I think team did great job to close the gap to Bono and Morand, I cant be totally satisfied with the result as we had pace for P3 but finished on P4.
I am looking forward to see if we can keep improving and fight for the win.

|"Q1: I had a good lap with clean air so I got myself into Q2.|
Q2: I wanted a clean lap first of all and in the end it was both clean and fast.
Very happy about this 3rd place.
R: I was very careful in first 2 laps, I lost 2-3 places I think, cause I had in mind that I want to finish in this race. I noticed in 2nd or 3rd lap that I had tyre wear from Q2, I didn't know that, so I had to be very gentle with tyres in whole first stint. De Wit made my life a lot harder but was nice to battle with him as always. I had many side by side moves with many drivers, whole first and secong stint was full of fights for me! After my first pitstop I knew I could fight back the field and so I did, having hard fights overtaking Konstadinov in pits and finally finished in 5th. Me and my teamate George made a nice job in testing, unfortunately working better only for me this time. Congrats to all who finished the race!"
In qualification 1 it was quite good for me, and I could be quite early confident for me to pass. P4
In qualification 2 I knew that I did a very good first sector, so good that I just tried to stay calm in the first corner of second sector, where I lost much much time because I braked too early and waited for the apex. Then I tried again to attack but made another mistake and lost time again. P7 in the end, not that bad for the quality of the lap.
In race as usual I was not enough agressive in first corner, and I was stuck between 2 drivers around me. I came out in 9th place. Then it was a great battle all along the race, though we were not in the pace I was aiming to. Our strategy was to pit the latest possible, and it worked because in the end I could be the first of a big peloton, 6th. It was quite unexpectable for me, looking at the bad quality of my race (not consistent enough to claim for better, missing apex too many times and loosing places in battles like a newbie).
Anyway I'm very happy for Morgan and the team !"
|"Q1: I did not test Q1 untill I got onto the FSR server as did not have time to test it, I managed a 31.9 which was okay for 12th place and good position considering the lack of Q1 testing for this track.|
Race: I had good race pace here so at the start I was carefull and lost some positions, I was 14th going into the second lap. I had some battles and made up places during the race with consistent clean driving and good overtaking. On lap 14 I made a pass on Saxen into the first corner which put me up to 5th place after others made their first pit stops. Mid part of the race I was still in 5th and had Parisis behind me pushing hard , I had to defend for many laps and I was able to keep Parisis behind, we both pitted on lap 29 but my pit crew was slow, this enabled Parisis to overtake me in the pits. After this my race was quite lonely, I lost more time in the pits and finished in 7th. I feel I could finish 5th or 6th with better pit stop times and better qualifying results but I am very happy to finish 7th, especially scoring my first points of the season at a track I don't like very much.
Thanks to everyone in the GT Omega Racing team for our hard work, and congrats to my team mates who scored points at this event. China is another track I don't like but I will work hard with the team again to try get the best possible result."
|"Q1: P15 with a 32.1, pretty much expected|
I had a good reaction to the lights and manager to get a tow on Brljak in front and passed him under braking. Trouble started in T2 however, I was following Greco closely when someone made a mistake right in front of him, which cost him his FW and I didn't have a chance to avoid his car. We had contact and I had quite significant damage, costing me a lot of straight line speed and downforce, I believe even 0.3s per lap.
After that I struggled a lot for pace, but kept pushing, trying to at least score some points.
On lap 14 I was battling with JES and Parisis in the S2 hairpin when I lost traction quite suddenly. I almost took out Bono who was right behind me after his pitstop, so I quickly backed off and allowed him to take the position since there was no point in me fighting with him.
On lap 29 I came across Tali who was exiting the pits, and he unfortunately missed his braking spot in to T1 and collided quite heavily with me, causing more damage.
I gained one position on lap 41 thanks to Room having some kind of issue in S3.
Then I drove very hard in the final stint, I believe one of my best stints since joining FSR in 2008. I managed to catch Baldi on lap 51 and passed him with a late braking move in the last corner, it wasn't the prettiest pass of my career but it got me a couple more points.
In closing, during this past week I've spent a lot of time thinking, and I've decided that this was my last race in FSR. It's been a long 4+ years and I feel I need a break. I won't call it a retirement though, since plenty of drivers have made that mistake in the past and come back in a couple months time. So it's not a goodbye, but until we meet again..."
|"It was a quite good race, i was in many fights, and i enjoyed very much. At the start, i wanted to survive the first laps, and after that, i had a great fight with Lapchin. After the first stop, i was in the 5th place, and i don't know what happened with the others in the pit, but they soon overtook me, and then i wanted to defend my position. On the 33th lap, Lapchin made an overtake on me, and i didn't want to lose a position again, so i tried a bit brave move, it could be succesful, but he didn't give me any space on the exit, and i was close to spin, but i took my foot off the throttle. The next action was in the last stint, I had a fight with Puumalainen, i'm a bit disappointed about this, because my brakes was bad in the last laps, so he could overtake me easily. He was faster than me, so he pulled away about 1 sec, but Raino Room was behind me close, so i pushed as hard as i can, and i finished the race in the 9th position. It could be better, i was slow, so i'm a bit disappointed, but i think it's a good result in my second race. I'd like to say thank you to the team, Ernesto made a very good setup, Rob gave us much advice before the race, Zsolt Nagy was my race engineer, so he helped me a lot under the race. Q2: again lost so much time in S2, no grip at all. 32,2 not happy. 8th
R: Had good start , won 1 place i think. Managed to do some good overtakings.
In pits i lost some time allways. Everyone passed me with pitstops. Found myself on 8th place i think after 2nd stop. Then i spun before 3rd stop and dropped to 10th. After that had some good fighting with Mikko and Georg Baldi. Overall can be happy with 10th, but was possible to be in better place if race would have been worked out perfectly. (speccialy with stops, lost some places with pits and was stuck behind some drivers). Thx for GTO , preapearing was great. Hope to be higher place in china. Also great Rasmus 4th place. Conqrats to podium guys.

|"I was relatively pleased with my qualifying lap, which was almost enough for Q2, but got knocked out in the closing seconds.|
The race turned out quite difficult, since I had to drive in a queue for most of the time, with very few overtaking opportunities. That means most of the results would be decided in the pits. Unfortunately I was not able to make more than one good pit stop due to various issues (closing my monitor accidentally, traffic), which at the end cost me probably a couple of positions. In the last pit stops I managed to pass Brljak after finally having luck with a 6 second duriation. The time lost behind him meant I was not able to catch the cars ahead anymore.
The end result was frustrating but in hindsight I went wrong with the car setup in a few aspects. With that in mind, I'm confident to fight for higher positions and score the first points for FTS once I manage a 100% solid effort with preparation and the race."
|"I didn't have really time to check the race briefing so i didn't know Q1 started so early because of the longer Q2 version. That meant i was late and got only 2 attempts and both with traffic so only a poor 32:0 for 13th. My race was basically ruined by that as P6-P7 was possible.|
From the start I realised i haven't warmed up my brakes enough so i had to brake early for T1, losing a position. But after some guys got into some trouble in S1 i regained it and then passed Dian round the outside of s2 hairpin after he made a small mistake out of the double right hander, and that was really the only good thing that happened in the race. I was easily keeping up with the train and felt the car was nice and tried to put a move on Gosbee, but he in front had some toe from the other car so I always lacked a car length to get a shot at him. On L7-8 he lost the car out of the s2 hairpin and collected me, causing me quite some damage at the front. From then on the pace was gone, it took forever to get around and out of slow corners and I was even slower than in the WT race(where i was pushing less). My pitstops were also a bit slow because i didn't practice with clutch and was being very careful not to stall.
The 2nd part of the race was rather boring, Mikko was slowly pulling away and Saxen was slowly catching me and no matter how much i pushed, the clock was just sitting in the low 34s which is of course way too slow for WC. I defended for quite some time in the 3rd stint and then we came in the pits together(L42 i think) where he just managed to get in front, and out of frustration i almost forgot to brake into T1 and had a bit of moment. He slowly pulled away and I just kept limping to the finish.
Overall it was a missed opportunity for some points, i think around P7 was realistic to expect but pretty much everything went wrong from Q1 to finish.

After a thrilling Q1 to make it into the top 10 on my last timed lap
I came into Q2 which i did a not faultless lap but was pretty happy with the time and 6th on the grid was really pleased with it
Then the start and i went from 6th to 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then Tali overtook me he had a faster car then me so 5th and then trying to maintain this position
Then the error came 1st pitstop was going really agressive into the pitlane but somehow i touched my limiter button twice i think and i overexceeded the pitlane speedlimit bah
Then a 10 second stop go penalty and then my race on a good points finish was gone
Trying to push as hard as i can overtook some cars and the last 2 laps i also noticed i had to little fuel some 2 ltrs too short.........
13th in the end
I am really dissapointed what might have been...........................

|"I was angry after the qual because I was much faster than 21th place.. none of my fast laps were ok.. Despite of the good start I had bad luck.. in the first two corner two car spin out in front of me.. so I loose some position.. After that in first couple of laps I gain some position, I have a really good fight with Linden.. at lap 2.. after that I joined to the train beetwen 5-13th place.. but I was simply not as fast to go ahead.. it was a boring race.. I loose one position agains Patrick.. and I finished 14th.. I hope I can improve my race pace to china... "|
|"As in world series race, my qualify was bad today and I started 17th and some contacts at start ruined my car. I could surely fightclose for top ten with my pace, I hope that next race I will find this also in world championship.|

in first chicane there is big traffic and i lost 5 position and came back in 24th position... after first difficult laps for overtake 3 driver, I can push and i put good race pace. after 28 laps I was 15th, but I committed 1 error to calculate fuel and my engine is dead before the pit stop...i'm very angry because the 2 last stint i was light of fuel and the target for entry in top 10 is really possible...i'm very disappointed..."

R: Got a good start and gained from others misfortune and found myself in 12th I think it was, coming out of hairpin in S2 on around lap 5 I half spun and Petar Brljak ran into me as he had no where to go. After 1st stop I leapfrogged some and came out behind Puumalainen who which I had the pace to get pass, but coming out of the last turn where I had been suffering with bad rear traction since day 1, I held a very little slide but this put me onto the kerbs where I half spun but saved that too however I stalled the car.Unfortunate as I could of got a few points today.
Congrats to Jims 5th place, well deserved"
|"Again it was a race that i had a very good race pace but my race ended from my mistake. In Q1 i had a pace that gould bring me in P11-P14 but my laps was not my best. At race i was very carrefull on the first laps but after lap 2 i was fighting for 16th position until Lap 8. I was very close on the car at front at T14 and ready for overtake at the end of the straight but i went on throttle to early and to hard. Lost the rear end and crash on the wall. Again stupid mistake from me brought the end of my race. Nothing more to say."|

|"Unlucky debut for me this year and i finished this race like past year at first turn. I worked a lot on race pace because i know my qual pace was poor. I had a quite good race pace very consistence. I started race very well and my reaction was surely better than my opponents in front. At first turn i was gaining 3 positions but Varga putted his front right tyre between my left tyres and the incident was sure with my spin. Engine stalled and race was over in few seconds. It was a race incident...but i'm very angry. See you in China. "|

In qualy i did 32.0 with a decent last lap and this time give me a 14° place on the grid.
But the race was really unlucky.
I did a very good start,on the second corner for give a good space to greco i lost focus of the track and when i was seeing the mirrors (for greco position) i take the external curb and lost the controll.Then engine stall and bye bye...."
