I got a good start as usual and almost managed to pass Tali into T2, but better safe than sorry on the cold tyres there, so I tucked in behind. In the race I hoped to make up some positions knowing my pace, but it was harder than expected. All cars were in a slipstream train which made passing quite hard, especially since the 7th gear of my Twister machine wasn't the longest.
Tali made a mistake out of the last chicane after some laps, giving me the position for free. After that I think chased down Gosbee who was close together with either Saxén or Rõõm. First I made a pass into the last chicane, but Gosbee came back on the exit making a nice pass around the outside of turn 1 to take it back. After some time, however, I did the exact same pass into the last chicane and then got a better exit, which allowed me to keep the position.
Next one was Saxén, who was hard to chase down at first with my worn out tyres from the battles, and this pace battle kept going for a while, which was quite a lot of fun. Eventually I managed to pass him on track and pulled a gap to feel safe.
Then Raino Rõõm was the next one ahead of me. I was some seconds behind and realized he was catchable after I took some tenths here and there, but it wasn't easy. The lap I stayed out after he pitted was crucial, giving me the position, so I was 4th.
Then Mikkonen was not far ahead. It was both lucky and a shame that he had a drive through penalty, otherwise it might have been a nice battle in the end, but I won't complain. By now I was third, some seconds behind Morand.
His brakes failed in the end though, so I cruised up behind him and made a pass into the last chicane again. Surprising fight back from him with a car not working properly, so I was extra careful there.
Second in the end is a fantastic result after a couple of crap weekends, and it was the best we could hope for, since Huis as usual is in another league.
Big thanks to David for creating a last minute setup which worked better for me, and also his strategy which in the end was absolutely perfect. Positive signs here is that we are closer pace-wise now to the cars in front, but still I'm not happy with the car balance, and I expect to suffer a bit again on the coming high speed tracks if we can't sort it. We will see.

R: got good start and passed saxen in T1, after that i just hold my pace, nothing happened much till to final stint (last 3laps) where morand brakes failed and was struggling to pass him. Jaakko closed so fast but i managed to hold him back of me. So overall i'm very very happy with result (P3), my best ever result in WC, thanks to whole team who helped me to up there. Looks like more luck in GTO car:D, 2nd podium for GTO in last 2 races, we try to keep this up. Cya in next track.

|"2nd place in Q2 was nice. Didn't really expect it but it's very good position for the race.|
Start and everything went well till I noticed my fuel consumption wasn't matching my strategy. I couldn't calculate what wasn't right while racing so, on third stint I had little bit too few fuel, which means II was ranning out of it on back straight. This took little concentration away and I didn't brake properly for pit lane and approached too fast. That cost me badly and got drive through penalty. I pitted couple laps later and exited pits on 5th place. I pushed hard to catch Room front of me. It wasn't enough but Morand losing brakes gave me one position just two laps to go."
|"I was a bit surprised to be third in both qualifying 1 and 2. The Q1 lap was very good while in Q2 I locked the rear wheels slightly for the final corner. Anyhow, this equalled my best starting position in WC.|
For the race I had mixed expectations, as the balance on worn tires felt poor in practise. I got a reasonable get-away but lost a place to Room in turn 1. After the first 10 laps I knew it would be difficult to keep P4. I managed that until first pit stops, but shortly afterwards Morand, who was much quicker, got past.
Before the final stops I had nice battle with Tali, but due to pitting one lap later he emerged ahead. At this point I decided to save brakes and remain outside the Mikkonen-Tali battle to be able to finish. This turned out to work as planned, as both Tali and Morand lost brake power in the closing stages, allowing me to pass both on the final lap.
P5 is a good result at the end of the day, although a podium was possible with a more stable race setup. Hopefully I can keep the momentum for Silverstone which has traditionally been a difficult circuit for me."

The start was close but did not wanted to have incidents

Then lap 2 marcel made a small mistake and i could overtake him
Not much too say was defending from Tali which worked out
Then i made a stupid mistake at my 1st pitstop calling the guys out then back in and i thought i had to come in which was not the case
Then my pitstop lasted 11 secs losing a lot of places
Then i tried to make the best out of it passing disley after 1st pitstop then from lap 59 to 64 awesome battle with Gosbee i passed him at The wall of champions which he decided to park his car there:)
In the end not happy cause my car is simply not good enough
I was 6th at the end of teh day due to last lap retirements Morand Tali....

|"It was one of my worst weekends, i missed the Q1, only 12th, and I was slow on the race too. I had a great fight with Van der Linden in the last laps in the second stint, i hope i was fair. At the last pitstop ( lap 54 I think ) we came to the pit side by side with Kanitz, and then we had a fight for some laps. I'm very very disappointed, I was nearly the slowest man on the track, and that's not what i expected.. Fortunately, the next track will be Silverstone, I really like it, so i hope it'll be better for us."|

Race: First stint wasnt really good. Couldnt find my rhythm and touched Jim slightly which caused him to spin. Sorry for that. The space was getting closer and closer and i had no chance to avoid the touch.
From there on it was a good race for me. Had a 2 stint battle with Gergo and Philipp, good job to both of you. Really entertaining. At the end i finished on P8, more as i could expect due to the start into the race.

Driving from friends' house it was quite hard to adapt my feet to the pedals. anyway I drove horribly all along the event.
In qualifying 1st session I simply hadn't the pace so I started P16 on the grid, first time I don't make it through to Q2.
Start of the race was ok (also for the first time). I don't know what happened but after the hairpin I was 11th. Unfortunately I had too much wings so I get passed again for 13th place in that first lap. That place is what I turned around all along the race, and it was impossible for me to get in a good mood more than 2 laps in a row. Anyway I had good battles with Peter and Philipp most of the time in the beginning of the race. Unfortunately we touched with Peter in turn 2 and he almost spin. Though I think I was on my line.
In the end of the race I was very lucky to get into the points.

Race: it was really hard race.. after the start I had defend all the first stint.. And the others behind me were really aggressive.. Lapchin almost spin me ... After that Van de Linden forget to brake at the hairpin and ram into me.. it was a miracle my back wing didn't came off.. but my car heavily damaged I was slower 2-3 kph everywhere .. so some of the guys overtook me back.. I was frustrated.. at the last stint I get used to the damaged car.. and my pace was not that bad.. I was closing up to Lapchin.. but I didnt have enough time to catch him.. maybe next time :)... I finished 11th.. unlucky race again ... but I'm really looking forward to silverstone.. one of the best track of the year...

My pace was not bad and I could make top 10 easy with others mistakes, but I am happy with my race also if I had problems with box all the time here in Montreal with strange place to pit that makes me loosing a lot of time. "

Q2 - 15:7 was a bad lap but still got 5th place.
R - Instantly I knew that I didnt have the pace to match the guys around me, atleast I though. A few laps in I hit the wall in S2 @ Fast chicane and damaged my rear wing/susp. Soon Nilsson had come up to me at end of lap 10 and we fought into lap 11, He overtook me into champs wall and I got him down to T1.
I was in a lonely 8th place most of the race, but where I decided not to fix my car of rear damage it was starting to hamper my pace badly and De Wit had caught up to me, and from lap 59 to 64 we had some good battles

Lap 59 to 64 - Multiple battles with De Wit from hairpin to T1.
Lap 64 - De Wit and me going into last turn, small contact with r.wing and I slide and hit the wall & loose f.wing."
|"We did not manage to get the car into setup here so it was a surprise even to get into q2. I was not happy with the setup at all so I chose to change to a new setup before Q2, I am not sure it was the best decision.|
Start was clean and I moved to 6th. On lap 4 or 5 I had a lot of wheelspinn coming out of last chicane and almost ended up in the wall (dropped into 8th).
Whole race I was in traffic so in the end even though I went safe with brakes they gave up on last lap so I went from 5th to 9th because of that.
Difficult race in terms of our slow pace and what happened in the end. Looking at the results 2nd would have been maximum today with perfect race. The main goal for Silverstone is to get back to the level we were in Monaco and China.

Race : Started 20th, in the 2 first sectors i gained 4 positions already, which was great !
At the end of the first lap, Kanitz avoided a very early braking of puschke. Trying to pass Jim, i was surprised and i almost make a carnage in last chicane, but with good reflex, all was ok. After during the first stint, i was at 200%, eating others without loosing time : Thanks for Stefan and Jim ( Parisis ) to let me pass.
My plan was to finish top5, top3 is better. catch up Huis was for me a irrealistic plan. my best result expected was 2nd. So during i was not in front of mikkonen, i pushed hard to catch him.
I overtook mikkonen just before the 3rd pitstop. And at this moment, i didn't push the car to the limit.
During test race, brakeduct 7 was validated, just before to be in grid, i prefered to be preservative and make brakeduct8.
During the last stint, my aim was to have a 3s gap between me and Nilsoon and preserve the car. I looked Huis slowed down a lot ( 1.17.3 laptime ) where i did 1.16.5, 0.5 off my pace. 2nd place was enough for me. Nothing to earn and everything to loose.
At lap 65, the front left brake went off. what a surprise. i passed 2/3 corners to apply the emergency procedure ( who works in theory and with used brakes only 3/4 laps ) but nilsoon was already there.
I loose 2/4 brakes at lap68. i tried to keep the others behind me, but impossible in the hairpin and last chicane to do something.
In last lap, Tali suffered the same problem, i was 5th. But in last hairpin, the 2 brakes left broke, i went in wall. I didnt make the right decision to downshift very quick to slide the car : i put the clutch to prepare the contact with wall to avoid damage in engine. But the contact was hard the engine died even with clutch on :(
Some feelings about this race, i am happy to prove i could do a great race, and resigned about what happens when all is ok then goes wrong.

|"Not so much to say. I had few times to practice even if i like the track. In Q1 i was 0.4sec slower than my PB. I started well my race as usual and for first stint i was on my pace and in the drivers train. I had only a mistake at first pitstop where i gained a drive through. After that i wasn't able to push as i wanted to gain on Eros in front of me. After my second pitstop i was lapped from front rows so i lost a lot of time and my race ended there. See you at Silverstone a track where i love driving. "|

Q2: Pretty awful lap, slower than in WT and still P6 xD
Again fail after fail in WC races... I pressed the wrong button for clutch and stalled on the grid, so start from the pitlane. I already had more than 25s to Bono from the start, I knew it was gonna be tough to get in the points so I drove my ass off to catch and pass people. Took me about 12 laps to catch the backmarkers and then pass Disley and Masciulli... in the 2nd stint I caught and passed Varga and just in the beginning of 3rd stint Lapchin too.
Then I had 6s to Kanitz and Baldi and was closing little by little and just when I was getting on the back of them on L67 my engine blew up, pushed it too hard playing catch up. With others having problems in front i would catch 8th or 9th which would be a good result considering starting from the pits.
If i had started from the P6 looks like i'd be giving my teammate headaches for 2nd in the end, so big opportunity lost... :/
WC's a bit cursed for me at the moment, having stupid lapses of concentration..."

My start was pretty ok but in the first chicane I had to go over the gras and lose 2 positions to p14. Down to the hairpin kanitz and varga made contact which allowed me to gain one position up to p13. Then on the straight I had a great double slipstream but unfortunaly I was caugt out by the closing speed and I braked way to early nearly causing a accident. Sorry!
In lap 3 out of the hairpin lapchin had a messy exit so that I was able to have a go and do a outside pass into t1.
In lap 5 Morgan had a go on me into the hairpin but I used the slipstream on the straight to repass him for the moment. Then in lap 8 I had a go on varga on the straight and was finally on his side into t1 but unfortunaly we made contact and I had to go over the gras. In lap 11 I had a go again and somehow I had no space left so I had to take a shortcut again to avoid any further contact. From there on my race was pretty lonely and I was satisfied being in top10 before my brakes decided to fail once again in lap 54 and I decided to retire the car to cause no further danger on track with no front brakes.

R: Race began good with a overtake so P9. Could hold it for a long time but then i screwed my pitstop becuase the rear slided under me. Lost alot of time and came out of the pits at P17. When i had Morand behind me and Varga in front i was paying a bit to much attention on Morand and Varga braked a bit harder mid corner i lost my front wing when collided with Varga.
Pitted again and putted in to much fuel.
With practise the car felt good and stable. But in race i didnt had the confidence to drive 100%."
|"I went into Qualifying with no confidence, so I was just aiming for P15 at max. I did a 1.15.8 before I got "connection lost", but the server didn't keep it. I had much more pace in it so I think I could have gone P15-P16 without this problem.|
This time I tried to be more calm on start, not focusing on gaining places, but to be safe after turn 1..
I managed that and could maintain a respectable pace. Controlled and calm. I was thinking already about what to do in the next stint, push more to reduce the gap and attack the guys in front of me? Or just going safemode till the end so that I could gain positions to other drivers' misfortune?
I had a marginal pitstop having 0% fuel on the straight before the pits, I think 1 sec more and my engine would just cut off.. So I had a fine stop, fast and clean and went out to find that I extended my gap to Marconi I think? or Masciulli. I don't remember, but it doesn't matter anyway. Then on the S3 I had already indications that something wasn't goin' well with my PC. I was losing FPS and gaining it again, but on the straight it wasn't such a problem.After a whole stint of being calm at last chicane, I had to face it with 30 or less FPS. Consequently I lost the braking, then just "guessed" how to save the car, cause I really could see nothing till I saw my car stalled. It's really frustrating for me cause for once I was able to do fine for the first time in my short WC career, I was looking forward to my first proper finish, not getting lapped. Dreaming of a point in the end which from what I saw in the results, I think it could have been possible..
But it just wasn't meant to be.
I hope I'll see you again in the upcoming races, every single race with the best simracers in the world give me lots of experience and determination to improve and do better.
P.S. Thanks Giuseppe, on the overtaking move I did on you, I went with 1% confidence, I thought there will be an incident for sure, cause those damn kerbs are pretty high. I decided to take the risk, and you left enough space for me to pass in the end, clean and fair!"

R: Lap 3 or 4 I think I had a collision with Kanitz on hairpin dropping me in 21st place. I was just driving around the track when Disley got off the circuit on lap 5 and rejoined on track, on my car...
These were 2 hard weeks for me and it was obvious on my race too.
Next up is Silverstone, a curcuit that I love and I'm hoping for a good result there."
