Won WS with a comfortable gap back to 2nd and fancied my chances in getting onto the podium in WC.
After Morgan dropped out and Bono decided to start from the back, I knew that I had a great chance to challenge for the win.
Q1 laps were good, all of my three runs inc. my Q2 preparation run would have put me on 1st.
Q2 lap was great as well, which put me on the pole, with two teammates behind.
I got a great start and kept my lead easily. My laps in the first stint were quite poor though, probably due to pushing my tires a bit too much on the warmup lap in Q2. Rasmus challenged me once into turn 3 at the end of the stint, but I kept the lead.
From there on it was quite lonely, but surely not relaxing in any way. I tried to keep the pace up and kept a close eye on how far were Bono and Rasmus.
I saw them get into a battle with Patrick, which helped my chances further more.
Tried to do consistent laps and keep the pace reasonably high without overdoing it, because the gap was comfortable for up to 5 tenths a lap loss at that point.
As the laps went on the gap came down, but at a comfortable pace for me to get this win.
What an awesome weekend. Great first win for the GT Omega Racing team as well. 1st and 3rd helped us a lot in the fight aganist GhostSpeed for 2nd in the Constructor's.

So I started at the back and I was lucky to make it through turn 1 with Aalberts spinning infront of me. Overtaking is only possible in sector 1 here so I was stuck a lot in sector 2 and 3 which cost me a lot of time to the leaders. In the end I got P2, the maximum possible I think. Ivar had superb pace, congratulations to him for his first win."

R: The car had speed but the setup was too unstable so I was locking on braking and spinning wheels when accelerating. Also I was not too lucky with traffic when coming out of the pits.
Overall I am not satisfied with the 3rd position but considering what happened on last lap I cant be too unhappy with the result.
Also congrats to Ivar for his great result for himself and the team.

Q2 was not my best as I really had some heavy and crucial mistakes in my lap which easily costed
me half a second. But P5 was fine anyway.
Off the line I had a very good reaction time and was able to gain 3 places up to P2 after the first corner.
But then some guys tried to pass me back in the first lap with some contact and damage but
After the first lap I was in a solid 3rd.
The rest of the race wasn’t that dramatic but I had some nice fight with De Wit and other guys.
And in one of my stints I passed Antonio Kolarec who was yet to pit.
Bono was pretty fast closing in on me after passing Yannick and I wasn’t up for a fight as I knew that he was some tenth faster than me ; so I did let him go.
The whole race I was managing my tires and brakes to make sure I would see the finish line.
I knew that I was pretty heavier than the others in terms of fuel because I wanted to make a short last stint which would make it easy for me to push a bit and increase the gap to my competitors.
My pace wasn’t the pace I wanted this weekend but I was able to deliver a mistake-free race and
In the end I finished in a very good 4th place which is my best WC result so far.

|"In Q1 always messed up s1 but still comfortably in Q2, Q2 a messy lap but still P4 :O|
Off the start it seemed like an equal launch but Puschke then flew past and Kostadinov ran wide. The three of us fought the entire lap, and just as i was planning on putting a moveto T3, i clipped the anti cut and got passed by both Lapchin and vd Linden. A lap or two later i got vd Linden back and then tried to follow Lapchin but my pace was horrible, the car had gigantic understeer for some reason, clipping the wall in the 2nd stint didn't help of course and i probably had the highest rad/duct settings of the entire field from what i heard post-race.
There were some 3 stoppers causing a bit of chaos, passing Disley and Kolarec on L14 and Masciulli on L27. Then it was all about managing the gap to Lapchin after he lost time in the pits.
P5 with super-slow pace, me happy :D
Should be reasonably strong in Abu Dhabi..."

Q2 : Here again I messed up sector 3, going into the grass and lost much. I was very lucky to stay in front of Marcel.
Race : Start was correct, and after some fights I got between Philipp and Petar. It was going to be like that all the race, till I loose time in pits because of a little touch with Patrick and damaged car. Then I got behind Petar, and even if I was faster I couldn't catch him back.
Finally good points, but looking at the speed I might have been able to be 4th.

Got home at 16,30 not knowing rad duct or my q pace actually
Then i had 5 mins into free practice with no q laps anymore
Then interesting enough i was 5th after q1 and surprised too see this
Then q2 went fine until s3 i braked a bit too late and understeered into the grass thats why i did not fininsh my lap did not want to have a q2 lap when its not necesarry
The race starting 10th them fight with baldi/lapchin/tali/huis/saxen u name it
Great racing stuff again
some people were pretty agressive but thats racing
Can be very happy with 8th place after a difficult day

|"It was good to be able to score a couple of points in FTS' 200th WC Race. Despite I consider myself a veteran in this sport, it's still somewhat special to be driving for a team that has existed ever since the start of FSR.|
Regarding my race, I was not feeling confident at all prior to the event, which reflected in my qualifying result, not making it to the top 10. In the first stint there was not much to do, so I decided to pit a lap earlier, which meant I avoided a chaos situation and gained a couple of places. In the second stint I felt a bit more confident and was able to pass Patel during the pit stops. With Masciulli running on a slightly different strategy, I quickly caught him up in my final stint and managed to pass him after some wheel-to-wheel moments. In the final lap I caught Kostadinov, who had some sort of an issue, thus finishing in P9."
|"Q1 - Tried 3 times to get in top 10 but the last try i did it with 6th place.|
Q2 - I am not very good in qualifications and my target was to do 1 lap without mistakes. I messed S1, but made very good S3 which was close to make a cut, but everything was legal. Qualified for fantastic 2nd place on 1st row, i could not wish to be better than this.
Race - Started normal, for braking for 1st turn i saw in my mirrors Philip to stop in the last moment and i thought he will hit me and i took the corner faster and moved to the grass for save. After that my PC got very low fps and in some corners just was bad luck and i messed them which i lost important positions from others. After that i was 7th i think and tried to keep their tempo until 1st pit-stops. I came out behind Lapchin and tried to overtake him, but in the same moment i saw for my regret my engine was on 70% which was 12-13% less than usual. After this moment I had to keep low rpm and to pick up the boost to save the engine, i knew that will loose more positions, but my target was to finish in the points, because i had good pace and for my regret i could not show it. After 4th stop i saw the engine was on 9% 11 laps till finish and i had to pick up boost on max. I was doing 3-4 seconds slower per lap and last 3 laps i drove in 0% engine life. Finished on 10th place and I could not believe it that i saw the checkered flag.
I want to send apologizes to Marcel for my non-compliance, just did not expect to came out from the last corner too slow.
And for final i send congratulations first to my teammate Ivar for his first win and first for GTOmega. And second, congratulations to Bono for his defence of the title and 3rd in a row, amazing driver!"

R: Had to be alot better. Top 7 was possible but had 2 times damage that my crew wanted to fix. Lost the time that i needed to be in top8.

|"This was my first race in the World Championship. I had an opportunity to try myself on the highest level. I could won in the World Trophy, and i like the track, so I hoped in a top 10 result. The qualyfying was awesome, i was in the Q2, but then i made a mistake at the end of that lap,so i was only the 9th. I tried to concentrate to the race after that. My start was good, I overtook 1 or 2 cars, but then my tyres were overheated and it was very slippery in the first laps. I made a mistake because of this, i hit the kerb, and i spun out. I lost some positions with this, so i tried to be faster and more constant. At the end, I could overtake Kolarec and Disley, and i finished 13th. I'm a bit diasppointed about this,|
cause i think i was able to do a better result. Thank you for the opportunity to Ernesto and Christian. Congrats to Bono for his championship title."

Before the race i wasnt sure about my strategy,should I go on 3 stops or 4.
Race started,this time i started very carefully,maybe too much.
But in first corner,Alberts spun and I almost hit him,but if I had go agressive as everybody do,I would hit him..So lucky first corner,joining the group.
Was 17th,driving behind Disley,then 1st pitstop came.
It was relativily good,after stop i jumped on 4th position,so I tought I could finish the race in TOP10.But tires were the problem,as 3 stop strategy didnt work,I had to go careful as I can to save the tires.
I was going off the pace,trying to make that 3 stop strategy works.
But as I tought,the company was faster with 4stops and it made the differnce.
2nd and 3rd pitstop were the same,exited ahead of Disley,on 14th position,.
Im disappointed but at least I finished the race.
I hope I''l do better result in Abu Dhabi,because team needs points.
Also i want to thank all the MAK factory,that are letting me drive in this machine.

|"Well, I was dissapointed in Quali to be P11. Last lap I spun and should have been easily in Q2 and somewhere near Petar.|
Race start was ok, maintained P11 but in Turn 14 I broke too late and went into the sidepod of Baldi. Luckily he didn't loose any spots but I lost three. From then, it became pretty clear that it would be very difficult to pass, unless you were Bono :P.
After following Saxen for a few laps, I had a good enough exit out of Turn 1 to get passed him into Turn 3. Two laps later I got Werdmuller into Turn 4, I dummied him up the inside and he defended, so I took the outside and got the cutback, got in front by Turn 6 but he nearly passed me in the sweeping turns. I was really pleased with that pass as I didn't really think it'd work, I then set after Csuti, whom I passed in Turn 1, probably due to a car pitting. He got back passed into 3 and I re-overtook him into 4.
Unfortunately when I pitted on Lap 11, Dian was exiting his box and he clipped my rear end, giving me suspension damage and I basically struggled with turn in from then on.
I made a mistake on lap 18 pushing to try and pull away from De Wit in T14. Then the best part of the race for me was when Tali came out of the pits. He slotted in between De Wit and I, and we were three wide into Turn 3. I dropped two places and was squeezed to the grass, but in T4 I got De Wit back when they went wide. I held on around the outside to pass Tali in T6.
It was a shame that I had a disco, would have been close to get some points here. Car in practice was great, thanks Petar for that ;) "
|"another bad result.. sadly i didn't had time this week to practice for the race. i started test yesterday.. so p15 at qual was not that bad.. I had good start.. i gain some position but in S2 Saxen didn't really left enough space next to him.. and i lost a couple position.. my speed was not bad.. but sadly i found the wall at lap 22. and that was the end of my race|
I really looking forward for the last two race.. Netrex will be much better there hopefully :)"
