Comment: Was very close to getting into the G1 race, but I had to go into G2.

My main objective was to win, and with a bit of luck, I did.
I made a few mistakes during that race, so I think we need to improve, especially qualifying but with the race, I was very comfortable in the car.

Overall, I am extremely happy to now have a win under my belt, even though it is only G2, a win is a win. Congratulations to the team!

Comment: A bit up and down including a massive mistake jumping the start which resulted in a drive through penalty. The win was definitely in reach today without the penalty and a little more thought into the tyre management. Pleased with 3rd considering the problems encountered

Comment: After starting 6th on the grid in my 2nd ever FSR Race, I jumped the gun at the start of the race gaining a drive through penalty, but making it up to 3rd before having to take my drive through at the end of the first lap, dropped me down the grid to around 6th or 7th, after 5 more laps my soft tires started to drop off, I pit just behind Craig Johnston and it send us both into the same pit box, so I have to que behind him, after being agitated trying to get out the pits quicker, I switched the pit limiter off before I left the pit exit resulting in another drive through, I came straight back in and again turned the limiter off too early and this time resulting in a stop go penalty, dropping all the way to last after these costly errors I had to fight to get back in, I made some mistakes locking up my tires etc., my tires dropped off pretty quick and I started to lose grip, by the 12th lap my brakes failed on me, I tried to keep going for a few more laps but then I made a small mistake on the 15th and put it into the wall, losing my rear wing and causing a lot of damage, I then decided to retire from the race.

Overall pretty happy with my pace but reliability of the car just isn't here yet, hopefully the next race in China will go much better.

Comment: I achieved a lot of laps here in Bahrain and I do feel some improvement in the car, but it isn't enough and I'm still lacking pace. This year's car is still a mistery for me. Each optimization in an area upsets another one and I felt like trapped running circles.
It seems we can't make aerodynamics work properly, so I chose to run low wings and so be it. Braking suffered badly and in Bahrain this is a killer.
Good effort in qualifications, but a rather poor and shaky driving made me miss the cut by 0.09s. A way to know this day was not going to be one of the goods.
Starting on the front row in the grid2 race I had pretty cool expectations, 10 points were at stakes, but it seems test day is not the good way to test brakes wear and they were almost gone halfway through the race. I slowed down but couldn't do anything and front right broke off in spectacular fashion into T1 braking zone, as did my win expectations.
I was really confident about making the 1-stop strategy work well and I wonder why everyone was 2 or even 3 stopping, but I've got enough of my problems to solve.
I can't expect any better in China since it's only 1 week down the road and I've never been good at this track. Can't wait to focus on magnificent Monaco.

Comment: This was my first ever FSR official race. My goals were to finish without incident. On the lap one melee I hung back and minded those around me. Ahead of me there was plenty of carnage to which I avoided. Totally amazed on the final turn coming around the pits on lap 1 I saw a large portion of the field go into the pits, which catapulted me within the top 5. However faster drivers came up and I gave way. I continued on and seemed to improve and fall my position as driver's pit early. Unfortunately on lap 12 my brakes gave way, making it a very long lap back to the pits. I feel very good that I avoided causing or getting involved in incidents, my car was unscathed, however I didn't finish. I hope to learn from this for future races.
