"This race was one that I was really looking forward to. One of my favorite tracks, I went in hoping to perform well. When practice rolled around, I was in P2 for the session behind last week's race winner, Nazario Nuti (ITA). Qualifying Session 1 went basically the same as practice up at the front with Nuti being fastest and myself being second quick.

In qualifying two, drivers are forced to qualify with race fuel, while in qualifying one, drivers can use as little as possible (keeping the car light and fast). This rule where you qualify with race fuel is known as Parc Ferme. In this qualifying, I was never able to get the most out of the tires, but I was still able to line up second on the grid, again to Nuti.

Learning from last week, I warmed my tires much more aggressively than in Sepang. This really aided me when the lights went out and the race started. I was able to make a pass on Nuti in turn one, only to make a mistake in turn 2 because the tires were still just a bit too cold. My teammate, Matthias Balanski (GER) moved ahead into the lead and led 6 laps until I took the position and never looked back. I led the remaining 37 laps onto my first victory in Sim-Racing and the first for the Torrent Motorsports organization and I would like to thank them along with our tremendous sponsors: United Sales and Distributors, ATMOSPHERE, Baker Billiards, and Osiris Shoes.

We got the monkey off our back and got the first win, but now let's look ahead to Australia, and see where we stand..."

"What can I say, I was definitly quick as q1 and q2 showed, but in the race I was constantly rammed over. At the start in t1 Darren (Twister) rammed into me and the car was permanently damage so into t3 I made a mistake and greg passed me. In the final corner of Lap1 I was able to pass Greg and then into t1 of lap2 he passed me but then into t2 he acted like i wasnt next to him... Thats not nice - he just ran wide like no one was there. From then on my car was horrible to drive I had permanent damage on my left side both front and rear. Made many mistakes cause car was undrivable and then entered the pits put 70 litres of fuel and did as many laps as I could. I came out last and at the end I arrived second after driving an intelligent race. There should be more respect when overtaking or defending a position, its just not fair to loose a race victory. Plus many drivers have HIGH PINGS, this is dangerous for other drivers out there. Shouldn't there be a limit?

Many thanks to TrackIR and 4Design for their support."

"Think about this: I got the mod two days ago, haven't done any testing, everything is new so there was a lot to think about....I think I can only be happy with the result- A top 10 finish on my first race, which importantly, I finished in one peice

I drove consistently and managed to finish in 7th place . Nine(9) place gain for me then. Not bad!"

"I was unable to finish the race because I lost connection. A bit disappointed with missing out on some valuable points, before my exit I was in a good position for a podium finish with my one stop strategy.

Congrats to Sam and Torrent Motorsports for their first win in WS Pro."
