2006-04-16Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P7P4Comment: To be honest I’m very happy with this race. This is exactly what I am looking for this season: Great fights and just have some fun.
Qualifying went bad, because I thought I should try a 4 laps sprintrace although I never did that in practice. Was a stupid idea because I could have been 3rd very easily but ended up 7th, had some traffic and the setup wasn’t good with this more fuel.
The race was quite eventful. One of the Kiwi cars was struggling to get away so I passed him easily on the straight, and in the first corner suddenly a Redbull was spinning in front of me and I almost hit him. Then I was behind Emanuel and it was good to see that my teamy also survived the start. We passed Emanuel quickly, then I was behind Eny and David. I came nearer but then I was stuck. Later in the race De Angelis had a spin and I was in front of him. After David first stop he was in front of me again, but he also made a mistake, then I was very close to him on back straight, he went on the inside but then I went completely on the inside and passed him. This was great. I knew my 4th position was pretty much secured after Eny retired. I had the pace of David in the last stint with equal fuel until I backed off to save the engine and brakes because I think they had to work a lot today.
4th place is good. I did no mistakes while many others did, and I showed that I can still pass other cars. Congrats to Roy but especially to Dominik.

2006-04-16Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2006 Patrick De WitWC2006P9P6Comment:
I had a good start and passed several cars. I braked on the outside of the first corner and I was a bit carefull behind Dennis. We both got gained some positions. I could follow him but nothing more, in the first stint. I pushed until my first pistop and had some good fights. I spun though while battling with Emanuel. I was quite lonely all the second stint through before my second pitstop. I was fighting with Sebastian and Denis. I crashed into Sebastian, almost knocking him out. But I braked harder to avoid him. I spun a second time. After that I started pushing really hard after my last pitstop. I was able to get two positions back in the last stint and finally made it up to 6th3View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-04-30San Marino Imola, San Marino Dennis HirrleWC2006P6P4Comment: I think 4th place was the best possible result for me today, considering the conditions. I had so much lag for around 50 laps, it was incredible. At the start, everyone was standing still, so I had to lift, and in the next second they were all gone. I lost a lot of seconds there, but luckily not so many positions. Then I was behind Greco and I was faster, but his car was all over my screen so I decided to leave a gap for safety. He stopped only one lap later than me, so I thought he would also go for three stops, but that wasn’t the case as he went for a very long middle stint. Before our last pitstops he was six seconds ahead, and I had two laps to make that up. I pushed a little in those two laps and after my pitstop I was in front of him. In the last stint my gap to Eny was way too much, but I was as fast as him with equal fuel. Really a pity that I had to struggle so hard in the beginning. I settled for fourth, but to be honest it wasn’t very funny with this lag. At least I made no mistakes once again and I’m continuing to exceed my record of finished races in a row, should be 24 now. We have to sort out what the problem was today and then we’ll go to the next race and see what happens.5View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-04-30San Marino Imola, San Marino Ernesto De AngelisWC2006P4P3Comment: Quite happy with the result even though the GP started really bad with a terrible qualifying. I could have done much better.
The race was good, I made a choice for the two stops 'cause I really wanted to finish this one and I decided to make a no risks race.
Had fun racing in a such competitive field so I can surely call this a success.6View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-05-21Germany Nurburgring, Europe 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P7P5Comment: I didn’t enjoy the evening at all. Basically Schmalenbach ruined it completely. First he knocked off the dashboards in practice so I couldn’t practice seriously after having done no laps this weekend. Then before qualy my throttle pedal’s spring broke halfly and I had a very soft padel now. I did a reasonable qualy time but I would have been in the top 3 for sure, now I was only 7th. In the first lap of the race I had to struggle a lot because I first had to find the rythmn and get the feeling for the pedal. Some cars passed me. Then I was behind Christian and I tried to overtake him in Turn 1 but we collided and he spun. I don’t think it was entirely my own fault but I felt really sorry after that.
Then I was behind Schmalenbach who was really slow because he was on a one stop strategy. His driving was crazy, he changed lines every now and then and it was extremely dangerous. So many times I backed off, otherwise we both wouldn’t have finished the race. I overtook him outside around a corner but then at the chicane he just went full risk to pass me again, again I backed off to avoid the crash. It was just unprofessional. Later I was again behind him but then I passed him at the same corner, again on the outside, and luckily he didn’t get into the slipstream again. I’m happy with 5th place seeing how the day went, but I think I could have finished on the podium today, at least, without all those problems.

2006-05-21Germany Nurburgring, Europe 2006 Ernesto De AngelisWC2006P3P2Comment: I have to say this was one of the races where I had more fun in my whole carrier. Battles with Roy and David were really fantastic and I really hope we can have them in every GP.
Formula 1 could be envious to see such a race, really a great show.
Second place in the end is surely great and I'm looking forward to have other GP's like this one.8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-06-04Monaco Monte Carlo, Monaco 2006 Joakim BengtssonWC2006P5P6Comment: This was a really tough race. I did a good qually and started P5 after Roy's penalty. The start was clean and I could hang on to Hirrle and Greco quite easily. I had a few opportunities to attack, but I found the risk involved to great so I just tried to pressure David into making a mistake, he didn't so I had to stay behind.

The car got a little strange on worn tires, I lost grip at the front, which is very unusual so I had a moment in the final turn where I lost my line and clipped the barrier a little, no damage but Binz didn't wait long to take advantage of my mistake and I lost a position.

Then I had another incident at Tabac, the same lap Pat had his first accident at nouvelle chicane. I saw a wing and thought it looked like a Twister one. I lost concentration and ran wide and again had a small touch with the barrier. No damage this time either, but Kolbe could move through.

After that I was caught up in Roy's and Patrick's fight. It was really madness out there, I made a few half hearted attempts to capitalise but it was way to dangerous so I backed off. After my last pitstop I was quite alone on track and I had a quite boring 3rd stint just counting the laps and maintaining my gap to David. Kolbe was running away in P5 and I couldn't catch him so I just drove the car home to score Twister's only points for the weekend. I'm happy to have finished the race in the points, but I'm a little disappointed with myself for making the mistakes that allowed Binz and Kolbe to pass me. 3View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-06-04Monaco Monte Carlo, Monaco 2006 Patrick De WitWC2006P2P14Comment: For me this was a real good race...

Well i qualifyed 3rd(because of kolbe penalty)
so qualfyed 2nd and i had a good start and marques and i were sprinting away from the other drivers we together had a big gab to the rest of the field

After bruno made his stop i had stil 4 a 5 laps to go and i pushed hard en then had my pitstop which i overshooted because the light was not ready or so had to set it in reverse and then made my stop shame because i was gaining on marques....

But anyway i crashed into the wall out of the tunnel the chicane and that was it had a damaged car and made again a pitstop and fueled it to the end but my car was severe damaged i tried and at 1 point there was a whole train behind me sorry for my defending driving i did nothing wrong in my eyes its up to the driver behind me t pass me which is very very difficult in monaco

I think did pretty good to still held them up for so long with a damaged car i had!

But its sad 0 points and it could have easily been 8 stupid error

And congrazt to marques who did the perfect race

I also want to thank pappalardo for his great setup and also want to thanx
my team da silva netrex for having me the last 2 races

sorry guys0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-06-18Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P2P10Comment: If you are on the same pace of the leader or even faster, lying in second position, of course you are disappointed if your engine blows short before the end. But I’m too long around as to get furious about that. We had the same engine settings as always, and they're supposed to be safe, so I don’t really know what happened. Today we absolutely had the pace, just in the beginning I lost the missing 3 seconds after Kolbe’s last pitstop because I didn’t have the best start, lost position to Bruno and had to let my teammate through due to different strategies. That cost me the time in the end. But to be honest I find it remarkable what we, the team, are doing this season. Considering the circumstances, not having the best pc hardware, weaker wheels and pedals, earning absolutely no money for racing unlike others, we are doing fantastic I think, especially here. Patrick and my fastest laps were both quicker than Roy’s, at least until I was out. Nevertheless this is not meant to take any respect away for those who actually win the races, today it was Roy and he did no mistakes, also Bruno was very fast but I was told he had a fuel rig problem, I think it is fantastic to have a competitive field and I believe we can just congratulate each other for that.
So despite this frustrating result I believe we are in great shape and I’m sure we will have some fun in the rest of the season.

2006-06-18Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2006 Patrick De WitWC2006P4P4Comment: I did not really look forward to this race because i had difficult with pre testing on this track

But in the last weekend of testing i improved my setup a lot

And so i qualifyed 4th which was not bad but i could have done a little better

But i had a reasonable start and could hang on to 4th i was faster then my teammate and i passed him and then i was driving towards 2nd placed man marques which i could only follow him the differances were to little to make a move on him it was extremely difficult to be close to another car here(because of fast corners)

So i tried but i had no real chance here i was on a 3 stopper and he on a 2 stopper unfortunaly i spun twice 1 time a little spin in club.

And 1 time i spun going into bridge corner i was going to the gravel and my car had a big impact but i was lucky the car was damaged but just a little no real problems although the car feld strange the 1st few laps after the impact

But anyway i did my race i had a good car and i was setting good lap times

There was 1 good moment passing smalenbach on the outside of stowe

And i pushed the race all the way after my last pitstop i came ahead of greco but before my pitstop i was behind him so another place gained

I am in the end extremely happy with my 4th place after those incidents
It could have easily been 0 points again(not this time)5View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-07-16Canada Montreal, Canada 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P5P4Comment: At the start it was no racing due to the biggest lag of the year so far, I couldn’t really see what was going on around me, and after some laps I found myself on 6th place so I lost position to somebody due to this mess. I was behind Kononen then, he pitted two laps earlier, but Hildebrandt held me off an entire lap so after my pitstop Kononen was in front again with half a second. He built a gap of around 4 seconds when it came to the second stops, again he stopped two laps earlier, this time there was no backmarker, I did an agressive inlap and when I came out I was in front of him. We both did a small mistake on the exit I guess and so Patrick could pass me at his pitstop one lap later, but he was a bit faster anyway, very good job from him. The whole last stint I had to resist against Markus then and I enjoyed it so much. That’s why I’m still around. 5View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-07-16Canada Montreal, Canada 2006 Patrick De WitWC2006P10P20Comment: Well this was no funrace at all!

I mean i had lagg!

I could not see other cars en they just popped infront of me...........

i asked for restart because this was no racing

but no reactions and then i just continoud racing i overtake people but did not know if i hitted them it was very dangerous they were there and sometims they were gone!

This was really frustrating in the end it got better nut i was like 13th in my 1st lap

To be 4th is a wonderfull results yet after all my problems i did had a nice run on my teammate and kononen i before the 2nd pitstop some 10 secs behind them and even further to kononen and closed that gap barely...i was agressive in pits and came just ahead of them that was real fun

But i hope these issieus can be resolved soon0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-08-06United States Indianapolis, United States 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P4P2Comment: Qualifying was funny, because I had a small cut in my first attempt, I mean the laptime wasn't very good but I just had to beat it in the second attempt if I didn't want to get a penalty. And I did that, by just 0,002 seconds.
I started from 4th and profited from a first corner accident, I passed Greco and from then on it was a rather boring race. I could go the speed of Marques and Binz for maybe 10 laps, then I got tire problems and I couldn't do anything about it. As I was so alone, I lost concentration once and spent six seconds in the gravel, but never mind. After Binz's retirement my second place was quite safe, Greco was 13 seconds behind and from middle of the race I really started cruising to avoid another engine failure like in Silverstone. I didn't want to lose another second place.
The engine made the distance and I'm happy to be second. We need to address a few issues though for the next race. 8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-08-06United States Indianapolis, United States 2006 Ferry KoekWC2006P16P12Comment: Well this was one off my worst quali laps i ever did. Also very strange that i did 2 laps and finished my 3the before the finish line but it counted as a lap. so i was on 4 laps after one flying lap. Very strange and i could not do one lap. but i deside to try one more lap. But offcourse i got a DQ.

So there was the start and i started from P16. I wasnt that confident at the car and at my race speed. So right before the start i deside to change a few things on my car. And that helpd a little. I did a good start after a few turns i was on P8 and a few laps later i was on P 6 or 7. But after i overtook Mark Aalberts and Denis Kiriapolous. i wasnt able to putting better lap times on the clock, that was weird. So Mark and Denis could come close again. right before the first stop after 24 lapr. i didnt do a good stop so one lap later Mark goes in and he comes out right in front off me. But Denis was behind me again. I was on P6 at that point so wasnt unhappy at all with that place.

After a few laps mark Aalberts made a mistake and spun. so i was on P5 with David Greco in front off me and Denis K behind me. he was the whole second stint very close behind me within 2 sec all the way. so when i go to the pits for my second stop. he followed me, and i braked before the pitline. he scared off the smoke what was coming from my wheel and forgot to brake and parked his car in the rear off myn. so rear wing off cost a lot off time for the pitcrew to repair that hit. but when they were ready i could not even go out off the pits. the car was to much damaged and i could only park it on the end off the pitstrait.

On the end i can only conratulate Bruno Marques with his win. and my Team mate Dennis Hirle with his second place. iam very happy for him. and 8 points for the team score is also very important. Sorry that i could not help with that. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-08-13France Magny Cours, France 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P3P3Comment: Third place is a satisfieing result considering the fact that this is a track I totally dislike. But I was totally frustrated that in the last chicane alone I lost exactly 4 tenths to the opponents, in every lap. I couldn’t do anything about it because if I’d attacked it like the other drivers I’d have spun immediately. The car just didn’t behave very well so third place is really good and the tracks to come should be better again. Concerning the race, well, I started from third on the grid but Zaahir on fourth made a better start and got me into T1. I had Binz behind me for the entire first stint, but dirty air kept him far enough behind in the first sector so he couldn’t overtake. After our pitstops he was behind me again but then he seemed to have a problem and fell back. Anyway, later in the race he was again behind me, and I wasn’t sure how things were going with strategy so I did all I could to keep him behind me, we had some good moments in the hairpin. But then he retired for some reason, and Ferry finished fifth so again we scored a lot of points against the Red Bulls. But anyway, Bruno is in another world and for sure it will be hard to keep Diamond behind us in the constructors’ championship.6View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-08-13France Magny Cours, France 2006 Ferry KoekWC2006P10P5Comment: Well my quali was ok P10 not realy bad, if you notice what people are in front off me and iam not realy a hotlapper. so i was very pleased with P10.

Start was ok did not do someting special. was on P8 after the first turns. i was happy with the pace off the car i could push. I did a 20 18 16 16 strategie. and i think it was on ok one. I fight the whole race with Martin Dyrlund. i was an nice and fair fight whe didnt touch one time. and whe were very close the whole race. i think 70 laps within a maximum distance of 4 sec.

at last i have to Congrat Bruno with his win, Zaahir in his first race on P2 and Dennis my team mate also congrat with another P3 podium finish fore you. and on the last place i also have to thank the whole Twister team fore there help and suport with making a good and decent setup. 4View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-08-20Germany Hockenheim, Germany 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P2P3Comment: It was a very exciting race for me with some fantastic and fair battles. I really enjoyed it a lot. My strategy didn't work out though which was putting me back to third. I couldn't really hold Greco in the end, I tried, but I had a few problems during the race and it was just not meant to be. Nevertheless it was great fun once more. The FSR WC is in its best shape ever I think, fantastic field and great competition, makes it of course harder to quit racing after this year, hehe. But anyway, I'm looking forward to drive the last races with the BMW Mod, it should be even more fun now.6View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-08-20Germany Hockenheim, Germany 2006 Ferry KoekWC2006P17P14Comment: This was offcourse again a terible quali run. Even with a big cut on the first turn i was only on P13. It fore sure not my thing to drive with low fuel in quali. So i asked the marshall to place me behind all the drivers, because i didnt want to fase a penalty fore the next race.

So i started from the last place, did a good start overtook the both ash cars before the first turn. and afterthat i did again a few good overtakings. Dont now exactly but i think after the first lap i got stuck behind Laszlo who was on P11 i think. He made an error in lap 3 an goes wide at the Hairpin. I took my change and put my car in front off me. I dont know what he was thinking but Laszlo made my race to a disaster. He pushed me off track i realy was pissed after that, and pushed like hell. Again i was able to overtake a lot off people, but i think i was the only one with 3 stops on the backfield. Maybe a stupid desision but i was much faster on a 3 stopper in practice then on 2 stops. And iam sure when Laszlo did not ruin my race i was able to fight fore points thats fore sure.

But after the first stint i was again behind a driver and i was faster. but could not overtake and i spun off. I didnt hit anything but i was pissed, and deside to quit. After this sort off races its difficult to motivate my self to go on. Iam realy still very mad, and its better to say nothing now. and take a little brake from racing. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-09-03Hungary Hungaroring, Hungary 2006 Joakim BengtssonWC2006P6P7Comment: This was a very tough race for me. I was hit at the first corner, haven't seen the replay yet, but I spun and was hit and damaged my FW. Luckily it stayed on so I could continue, although I lost some downforce. Had a few good fights at the back and could advance both with passing but mostly because of my strategy and of course with a little help from drivers who retired ahead. From dead last at the end of the first corner I was 8th in the end and picked up a point, not on merit, but getting to the finish is also a part of racing.

My car was really good all the race, and much of this is thanks to Geoffrey actually who made a really good race setup for me at hockenheim. That really showed me what a good race setup should feel like, and I tried to make my own to feel like that one for todays race and it worked. The car was consistant and easy to drive and I could push hard especially in the middle stint. Luck played a part but I'm happy for the point I scored given how the race turned out in the first corner.

The fights with David and Zaahir were nice, they were on a different strategy but I knew it would work out for me, no matter if they stay ahead or if I can repass them.

2006-09-24Italy Monza, Italy 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P7P5Comment: Started 7th, finished 5th, probably I should be happy. The race was pretty much a nightmare, people cannot control themselves in T1 so I had to take the straight line through, lost ground, then due to my big fuel load lost quite a few positions, I saw people were really agressive so I didn't really fight anyone. That was good because otherwise I surely wouldn't have finished. That's all I have to say, Monza is just always a difficult race and luckily it was the last one there in my career.4View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-09-24Italy Monza, Italy 2006 Ernesto De AngelisWC2006P19P12Comment: Well, bad luck was hitting me since the beginning of this race; what happened in quals was already a signal.
Starting from 19th I was able to gain many positions but was really a hard path for my nerves and the mistake I did after my stop was mainly due to the rush I had to regain positions.
At the end I got the fastest lap of the race with a damaged car so I'm very happy about the speed and it makes it even more bitter to get zero points as I would have loved to help the team to score some important points. Sorry to them and I hope to do better next time.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2006-10-15China Shanghai, China 2006 Dennis HirrleWC2006P3P4Comment: Qualifying was reasonable although a few tenths off my PB.
I had a reasonable start and kept as far on the outside as I could, in order to stay out of any trouble, but it seems like the usual suspects always find a way to harm people's races. So after Patrick's tap I found myself back in ninth and lost time passing Neumann, Essa and my teammate.
When I passed them, gap was already 8 seconds to Kuncman who, I remind, started behind me. Basically I tried to have a steady race and I was on the pace of Kuncman who, by the way, did a really good job in his debut race, congratulations!
Unfortunately Eny's connection died and the same also happened to someone else, and it's been happening to yet someone else the whole week. I think ISI has some serious issues with its game and they need to fix them as soon as possible. It's really a shame.
Anyway, 2 laps from the end I had to pit again because my team did a wrong fuel calculation. But I had like 40 seconds gap to Neumann, so no problem.
I definitely lost the podium in L1 T1 today. Congrats to Bruno, easy last 2 races for him now.5View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Roy obviously showed what the car was capable off and even if I had been pretty close to his times in testing this was long gone today. I lost some time with a contact in T1 after a car spun in front of me, and subsequently lost more with in pits repairs. Later I was spun around in T2 but could go again almost without losing time. The big excuse though is that I was just too slow. I pushed hard, made no mistakes, but the speed was not there. I had a few nice fights with Marconi and Kiriakopoulos and one not so nice with Binz. Basically his car (connection) was warping alot so it was really dangerous to get close. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

I was going to take first corner , and everything was ok until on monitor my wheel went little left (some quick movements) which was enough to touch grass and crash out, and in reality you keep it straight but on monitor it moves. Had same problems in ACE but was more carefull becasue I didn`t need to push. I will try to find solution until next race. Sorry Twister!0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-05-06Spain Catalunya, Spain 2007 Sebastian SchmalenbachWC2007P7P6Comment: Well, all in all, not a good race for me. A lot of fighting in the first stint made it impossible to lap consistent times and I lost time. I got hit from behind by a Virtual-Games.com Racing car and from that on, the car was strange to drive. I was so insecure while accelrating and really had a hard time to control the car. Well, despite having those problems, this were my first 3 points of the season. Of course this is not enough for a team like Twister-Racing. I will give my very best for Monaco next week. I have to improve and I will. P6 is not what I am looking for.

Anyway, I wish to thank Roy for being a great team mate. Also all our other World Series drivers and every team member of Twister Racing for the warm and friendly welcome. Thank you Joel for giving me the chance and for being a great team manager during the race.3View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-05-13Monaco Monte Carlo, Monaco 2007 Sebastian SchmalenbachWC2007P20P20Comment: Well, we knew that this will be a hard race for us. We had to deal with the +13 grid penalty from Spain which made us start from the very last position at the Monaco Grand Prix. A Grand Prix, where overtaking is very difficult and nearly impossible. Still, with hard fighting and a switched strategy (drove 33 laps on softs), I was able to score at least a few points for my team.

Unfortunatly I was involved into an incident with Denis which resulted in a stalled engine of Roys car as he was coming with full speed from behind. Roy was already going to lap us due to the slow laptimes in the back of the field and couldn't see the car on Denis in Rascasse. He braked hard and stalled the engine while being leader.

This could have been 13 points for the team but now we have to life with only 3 points. Anyway, we will learn from those mistakes and look forward to Montreal. A new weekend, new chances, new hopes. I am sure we will do good.

Of course I'd like to thank the whole Twister-Racing crew for their support and especially our sponsors Natural Point and HiMa. Looking forward to Montreal, Canada.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2007-06-03Canada Montreal, Canada 2007 Domagoj MalezicWC2007P8P19Comment: What to say? Not just unlucky race better to say unlucky weekend. I got damage on car in both ACE and WC races from well known backmarkers.
Quals were not something I should be proud honestly. I was 0.4 behind pole-sitter but could only start 8th. I did big mistake in hairpin and that gave me 8th position on grid.
Race was different story. I was 4th after the start and then Bruno made unexpected mistake and I overtook him easily. Then was following Kuncman and De Wit and suddenly was 2nd after Kuncman did big mistake and not braking at all at last chicane. So I find his comment about letting me pass prety unrespectful and stupid, as he is saying that he let me pass in order I don`t hit him. Man you don`t let your competitors by going off from track, you could slow down on finish straight then :P. If you are not competitor then you could go directly in pit ( which wasn`t so far from your go out from track). Nobody let the guy behind pass by going on the grass. You could say you was looking to mirors and missed brake point and not this shits. So you tried to hide your own driver`s mistake with stupid argument. Ok.
Then in lap 9 or so both De Wit and me were coming into the last chicane and Andrey Lovchy , who had spuned earlier, was on our line. De Wit crashed first and his knock pushed Andrey`s car on my line and I couldn`t avoid him. I was going down the straight and was braking late and hard for first corner mainly becasue I didn`t know my tire is punctured and suspension broken completely (I thought only wing is damaged). I pressed brake hard and car was just going left and left and Kuncman was braking prety lately so he couldn`t avoid me and I couldn`t do anything to move as car was just going to left under braking. Really sorry for that man :(
After that race was over, prety unlucky...

Anyway, the race wasn't good for us with Roys disconnection right before the start of the race. I was racing in 6th until just a few laps ago, when one of this overmotivated rookies, in this case Rouault, tried to use my car as brake.

Well, at least I was able to score one point. Fortunately, the Rouault scored no points which should give him a lesson on how to drive properly in this grid.1View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2008-05-04Spain Catalunya, Spain 2008 Laurent KeersmaekersWC2008P9P7Comment: I think I can be happy with my debut in WC. When I was driving in the free practice, I saw the times were very close to each other and knew the race would not become easy.
The start of my race was nearly perfect and managed to move from P7 to P4 after the first turn. I didn't have the pace to follow the Top3, but I was fast enough to stay on my position.
At my first stop things went quiet wrong. When braking at my stand, I stopped the car too early. I had to select the 1st gear again, drive 1 metre, and stop again. This was enough to loose 3 positions.
In my 2nd stint I was trying to hold off Ernesto de Angelis, but a little mistake out of the final chicane caused he could pass me, which caused I drove on P8.
Further in the race the retirement of Patrick de Wit gave me P7 again.
When looking at the time differences after stop 2, I knew I could stay at P7 if I wouldn't make any mistakes.
I drove easily till the end of my race, and got my 1st 2 points of the season!!

Really thanks everyone who made it possible I could make my WC debut in this great team!!2View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q1 was Ok. 19.4 and P9.
I could drove a very good Q2 Lap with 21.0. Only Patrick was able to drive faster.
At the start i could overtook Patrick and went on P1 into the first corner. Bruno right behind me. I pited on lap 18. As i saw that Bruno goes into the pit only 2 laps later, i know that i could be able to hold P1 after the stop. At its done. 1.5 seconds in front of bruno. In the second stint nothing was happend but the situation become a very close finish.
I pited before Bruno again and he was able to go a fast pace in his extra lap. I Though that this was the end of my P1 but i had a bit luck and got P1 back. Now, Bruno only 4 tenth behind. And this was also the gap at the end.
Thank you Bruno for this incredible race and battle. But i think if you could overtook me, i havent the chance to strike back. Thx Bruno.10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q1: 41.0, I had a vid freeze a little before we were moving to Q1, so I had to reboot and then rejoin the server (takes ages on my computer). Rejoined the server about 3 minutes in to Q1.

Q2: 40.9, solid lap like in Ace.
Q3: 43.1, still too slow compared to my PB in testing but wouldn't have made a big difference anyway.

Race (2nd start):

Starting 9th I was a bit worried about going in to T1 but I think we were all very clean in there, good job. Was 10th after JES passed me and 11th when Morris did as well.

Was battling with Eley and Joakim for most of the first stint, going back and forth. Eventually I got past them and managed to pull a nice gap for the pitstops.

I rejoined in clean air and knew could at least reach my goal of 8th place. On lap 25 I had just been passed by Disley after his 2nd stop and was looking to get back in front of him when Derecho came out of the pits in between us.

I was too greedy and tried to get a little slipstream from him, and while doing so I flashed in his righthand side mirror. When I went to pass him on the lefthand side he moved left and we touched. I don't blame Carlos because I should've just played it safe. After that I had some suspension and aero damage which cost me top speed and added understeer.

My laptimes never reached full potential after that so I lost the chance to fight for 2nd place. 4th place after Disley's retirement is a great result for me, more than I imagined.

Thanks to Phil for giving me this opportunity, it was fun but I hope Roy will be back with us soon. We miss you King Duck :).

Qualify wasn't gvery good, the car lacked the necessary traction for me to have confidence on it. Will have to work on this for the next race.

I had a fun race in the end, ended up passing a lot of people on the beginning stages of the race, then pitted too late, realized that coming out of the pits, I lost too much time by staying on track.

2010-03-07Bahrain Sakhir, Bahrain 2011 Domagoj MalezicWC2010P3P2Comment: First I would like to congratulate to Bono and Precision Motorsport for winning this race!!! Precision was really fast here and I was not surprised about that and I expect them to be fast on all type of circuits.

About my race, I was 3rd on the grid after 28.9 lap which was close to my PB and Bono did 28.7 so it is obvious we lacked some pace.

I had a very good start, I tried to stay out of trouble and I managed that. From there on I just needed to push and do my best because it was clear to me that we lack some pace so I had to push little bit more to have chance and stay close to Precision. I was little bit surprised when I realized I could follow 3 Precision Motorsport drivers and eventually overtook 2 of them - Rasmus and Ronny. But Bono was unbeatable. I had a very nice fights with Ronny but my only problem against him was that his sound was so loud that I heard his gears and throttle in my car. It was very distracting and I hardly managed to keep concentration.
With any other car I did not have any problems with sounds, just with his car and unfortunately I had to fight with him in such situation. It was not very enjoyable.

In the end, congratulations to my team-mate Bruno for excellent recovery driving, after he was only 11th on first lap. We managed to get good points which we did not expect prior to race, so we need to be satisfied. 18View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2010-03-20Australia Melbourne, Australia 2011 Joakim BengtssonACE2010P10P9Comment: Q=P10: I honestly expected to be a little bit higher than this. My lap wasn't bad at all, fairly close to my PB but everyone seemed to have lots of pace on light fuel.

R=P9: This never happened to me before. But on the grid, lined up to start the race after my form lap, my LC failed to activate. Knowing that starting without LC would get me in trouble with the marshals I had no choice but to abort and start from the pitlane. My first laps weren't very good at all, not consistant, not quick and I had trouble passing Debaquer. When I finally made the move stick I could pull out a gap and my driving improved.

There was some really nice passing, three side by side on the main straight was fun and I overtook two cars there. Wasn't bad rounding Jack on the outside of the fast chicane either. Small things that let you know if your heart is still working as it's supposed to. Seemed destined to finish P10 but a couple of corners from home Marco blew his engine and I could steal a P9 finish.

Good things, race pace was excellent and I even had fastest lap of the race with one lap to go. Got some confidence back with some good clean racing and nice overtaking. Was a little shaky first laps in traffic after first spinning and then colliding last time out but once I had passed Debaquer nerves settled down and the rest of the wheel to wheel racing was just fun.14View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2010-03-21Australia Melbourne, Australia 2011 Bruno MarquesWC2010P3P2Comment: Pretty much a perfect result for the team!
First of all, congratulations to Domagoj for his first win in FSR WC, you rock :)

The weekend started well for once, the qualify was close but I managed to be 3rd, close to my normal qualify pace. But not close enough or else I'd be pole position. The car somehow felt different on practice and then on qualify. I'm not sure why, it simply had less traction out of the turns, and it wasn't a psychological thing as I had to reduce the steering lock to counter the lack of traction and it sort of worked.

Then the race started, I did a reasonable start but not perfect .. Agustin did a better one but he was impatient into T1, braked late and collided with Domagoj. I thought a 2008 T1 incident would repeat, but fortunately it didn't but I lost 2 positions .. Patience! Managed to get those positions back thanks to the lower wings setup. I was running 3rd already by the end of 4th lap I think. Then I managed to close the gap to Domagoj and Bono, passing Bono eventually and closing the gap to 1 second to Domagoj before the pitstop and pitted 1 lap earlier... that's where everything went wrong, did all sorts of mistakes due to my new driving position and the keyboard being on the wrong place. So I got overtaken even, and lost vital time to Domagoj ... ah well. Later Bono retired, I just took the car to the end and tried to save some fuel as I was running short 1 litre on fuel.

See you in Malaysia :)

2010-03-21Australia Melbourne, Australia 2011 Domagoj MalezicWC2010P2P1Comment: Excellent result for the team!! I am really happy to win for the first time in FSR WC and my goal is completed.

In Q I was 2nd with 0.002 behind Bono. I was not worried too much as I knew there is possibility to overtake. A
So at the start of race, I tried do do it but instead I got hit by Canapino and I was off track in first corner. I was not really happy about that kind of agressive driving but I suppose it is racing. Luckily we both stayed in race. So after that I really easily overtook him back and then I started chasing Bono. I had really great fight with him, but I made few mistakes in that battle so I had to wait little longer to overtake him. Then I managed in T3 because Bono braked way too much late and that luckily gave chance for Bruno to attack him. After Bruno passed him I was sure we will get 1-2.

In laps 20-26 I was little worried about my car as tires were really worn as battle with Bono and driving in his slipstream overheated it. I was just hoping to get to pits with respectable pace as I was really strugling in that part. When I made pitstop on lap 26 I was feeling really good in car, did not have any problems till the end of race.

In the end, congratulations to my team-mate Bruno for excellent driving once again, we really both give maximum today and it is very enjoying to drive with him. Also congratulations to Twister family for great comeback, only great teams can strike back in such fashion in only 2 weeks.

Looking really forward to the rest of the season.25View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

A very poor qualy only allowed me to reach P18.
I need work on this, because starting on the back there is nothing to do.

This time, drama arrived early than T1, when a stalled car caused a big mess on the finish line, after it I was on the back, but at least without damage.

After this... a funny race overtaking some cars, with Werdmuller in pursuit mode behind my RW... since lap 31 when i did a mistake and crashed, losing the egine.

After see the race pace, I am very disapointed with this result, each time that I've had free air I was with top5 pace, only slower than top3 guys and than Werdmuller.
But being on traffic all race is impossible reach a good result.

At least I can see pace is here, and I've had a lot of fun with a lot of fights.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2010-04-04Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2011 Bruno MarquesWC2010P6P5Comment: Hard weekend, as predicted as this is, historically one of my worst tracks.
I did one of my best qualify laps, just within 0.050 of my personal best, but of course it wasn't enough, these days people do personal bests on the qualify, so I could only do 6th place.
The race was a bit chaotic from my part, and my problems with the braking in this mod became apparent as I missed 2 overtakes to David Greco due to "supposedly" late braking, but it was simply because the tires lock too easily for me. I lost too much time fighting with him, ruining my tires on the process and PM simply got too far.

Congratulations to Dodo on a very strong race, to Rasmus Tali for his first win! And to PM for the podium, too strong this time around, hopefully we can fight back once again.

See you in 1 week.10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2010-04-04Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2011 Domagoj MalezicWC2010P1P4Comment: Q went well, was really surprised to be on pole considering our pace and truth is that we again lacked some pace, but somehow I nailed this lap 1.31.729 to be just 0.001 in front of Ronny. It was my PB by quite a large margin. Anyway I expected PMo cars to overtake me in first 2-3 laps and that is like happened.

In race I did a good start but there was really no chance to keep this guys behind. When 3 PMo cars passed me we were all to close and when you are on limit with other driver you don`t look behind which did cost me losing positions to David and Bruno. It was really hard to keep others behind with our low top speed but that is racing. From then on I knew 4th place is maximum if I beat Bruno and David. I got feeling I was losing some time behind them so I tried to pass them both and did in half-way through race. It was all clean, maybe little to agressive with my team-mate, I really did not want to look like that - as I say in car it looked pretty much under control and clean, there was really no danger there from my side. If I did not try and pass I would not beat David in any case as I am stopping always lap later then Bruno and in that situation 2 laps behind David. So later in race I managed to get close to Ronny but I gave up from this fight and decided to save the car. There was no point to race this guys today, all I could do in this fight was to make contact and retire. 4th place is good result at the end, as we god valuable points for championship in race we struggled.

In China will be really hard once again but we will give our maximum once again and wait for our chances.12View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2010-04-11China Shanghai, China 2011 Bruno MarquesWC2010P3P6Comment: Disastrous weekend in all aspects!

Our qualify pace was there and I didn't make the most out of it, making constant mistakes on the last turn, if I didn't, I could have been pole, disappointing to be 3rd..

Then the race started, I did a reasonable start but left the inside to Ronny who managed to pass me on t2 due to poor traction, or lack of confidence, not sure.
Then I did the 2nd worst mistake of my career, was a bit impatient and tried to pass Ronny into t4, so I went to the inside, unfortunately Ronny blocked me and I couldn't avoid him at all and saw my wing flying... racing incident probably but it was my fault.
So I made a pit-stop for a new front wing, but the car was different, average of 5 tenths a lap slower, less top speed and more understeery. I did all I could but could only get up to 11th, until ... what happened, happened. Was lucky in the end, but pretty bad race in any case.

See you in Barcelona.

Q-3
R-1

Managed to get a good Q-lap together for once. Mistimed it a little so it was a few nervous minutes when I was done and other drivers were still out on their last runs. No one did enough though so P3 was a very welcome gridslot, and beside Lukas in P2 was good to see aswell. The level of competition on the grid was quite insane. 0.3 seconds for the first 10 drivers, but I was on the right end of the margins this time.

The start was really really good. Flew off the line and both Euler and Libeert were really slow off. Got a tow from Libeert and could dive down the inside to T1 without any big drama. From there it was actually quite lonely. Werdmuller was a few seconds behind in the first stint and running good laptimes so that kept me alert.

Everything else went according to plan. Pit strategy worked as expected. Last stint saw some pressure from Kaasa. He was really quick out of the box which meant I was completely flat out the first fifteen laps of the final stint. Then I noticed I was starting to extend the gap and decided to back off. The tyres had taken a beating and they had to last 26 laps. Petter closed up during the final laps but I felt everything was under control.

A great win for me and the team after a tough start to the championship. Couldn't have done it without my mates at Twister Racing. Thanks guys!

R P2

Quite unexpected result to be honest. I didn't feel very competitive going into this race and for a long time I was around P10 in Q before putting together a lap on the last attempt. Missed my PB 0.1. This gave P4 on the grid and first two rows are acceptable in terms of risk for T1 incidents.

The start was pretty good. I took it fairly easy because I know it's tight here and I just wanted to survive the first lap. I gained one spot when Kanitz clipped the barriers on the outside of Ste. Devote and lost his wing. Then there was SC and my tyres went dead. 55 degrees temperature and no grip at all on the restart. It cost me 10 seconds to get the temp back, and I actually gained one spot because Bolier lost his FW on the lap after the restart. Lonely race from there. I drove within myself, was patient with backmarkers and didn't push the car more than I had to at no stage of the race.

I knew the last stint would be tight with Kaasa, but since I know him to be an intelligent and fair competitor I wasn't worried he would try any insane moves. As long as I could make no mistakes and hook up my exits I would finish ahead. That's what I did. Took it easy, braked with a margin to make sure I could hit my apex and get on the power.

Never really had the pace here as I said, but a mature drive with 0 mistakes can pay off alot at this track and that's the sort of drive I managed to produce on a day when many other drivers made unforced errors or had other misfortunes.

It was a pretty uneventful race until Jaakko forced Patrick into the wall and broke his wing. Sadly he didn't want to let me pass despite the lost front wing and that caused the incident which happened half a lap later, a chain reaction from Rasmus Tali who hit Lee Morris, who in turn hit me, damaging slightly my rear suspension and then Rasmus not being careful enough and hitting me on the same damaged suspension, making it worse. Fortunately it was drivable until the end and got some precious points.

The qualify went pretty well, did a slight mistake on my best lap but it was good enough for pole fortunately, my 1st one for a very long time indeed. I was pretty happy but it's just qualify.

For the race, it started pretty well, but soon I realized I just couldn't get away from Bono Huis, even if I was quicker, the slipstream he was getting from me was benefiting him, and somehow he could pass me easier than I could pass him, so it ended up being a race long battle for the win until the very last sector of the last lap. It was my only chance, any earlier overtake would end up with Bono doing it to me, not me to him and I won. Feels pretty good really!!! Will have this one on my memory for as long as I can remember anything for sure :)

I want to say also big congratulations to Mikko, he drove brilliantly this weekend and was a big helper during the testing and to Karol for his base setup. Also a big thanks to Phil, he has been very supportive since day 1, this victory is dedicated to him.

The qualify was pretty bad, I lacked some grip and confidence in the car, and all I could do was a measly 13th .. like 0.080 behind 5th or something like that, which is pretty disappointing.

The car was then ok in the race, I went up the field as I expected, and when I reached 4th, it was all I could do, The Precision guys were a bit too fast even if I started in 3rd or 4th place, it would have been a maximum of 3rd place. So .. patience, in the end it was almost the same but I had no chance to fight and that's the disappointing part.
Also congrats to David for his pretty solid race!

I've good memories of Valencia but it's a track similar to Canada unfortunately, Precision will be the strongest again for sure, I just hope we fight closer and deny them the party.

Lone flag carrier for TR this weekend in WS. I managed a good Q-lap. I reckoned from the start that I was not quick enough to fight for pole but kept it together and scored a PB lap in Q to start a reasonable P6. First corners I was pretty conservative. I got away well from the grid and kept my position in the Esses. Outbraked myself slightly in Stowe corner though and lost a position to run P7. Acutally much more was not to happen for me. Pitstop 1 was a little messy and I had to wait to leave my box and lost a position to Gosling. I overtook him in the Esses, lost the position back in Stowe and some laps later I could repass him for good by sneaking down the inside in the second left hand hairpin in S3. Last stint was uneventful and I could finish P5.25View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

The qualify was OK, about 0,150 slower than my personal best, but that's normal from me, glad to have done pole for the 2nd time this season.

The start was pretty uneventful and so was the 1st stint, Bono was strangely quicker than me in fast corners despite being on the dirty air but I managed to keep him behind me. The problems started on the 1st pit-stop, I did a pit-stop a lap earlier than I should have done, then tried to hold on the tires for 19 laps which was a mistake, it was almost blowing up on lap 32, where I had to slow down to not blow the FL tire and had to let Bono pass me. Then the last stint was OK again, I could hang on to the rear of Bono for the whole stint, shame David did a mistake on the 2nd last turn. With 2 laps to go, I closed on Bono to about 3 tenths, hoping to repeat what happened in Turkey but the car simply understeered so much on the S1 fast corners due to the dirty air that I lost the whole gained time again and gave up fighting for the win. We have to investigate why I can't follow cars at all yet others like PM can follow others quite simply, gain time on them even on high speed turns ...

I took the first stint pretty easily, didn't want to push too much as the car was a bit hard to drive. My 2nd stint was better, I managed to close on both PM until 2 laps before my pitstop to around 1 second, unfortunately I made a costly mistake on the stadium section that cost me almost 1 second and my chances of coming out of the pits clearly ahead of Bono and Ronny ( meaning them out of my slipstream ).

Then my right knee started hurting badly and I just wanted to bring the car home, didn't fight back at all ... so 3rd place is ok, bit of a shame that I lifted a bit too much, maybe I could have passed both PM after their tangle on the last lap eheh.

I'm in San Francisco right now, didn't have much time to practice, I had a 17.5 before I left Portugal, but I couldn't do better than 17.8 here sadly, so that 17.9 isn't that bad. 13th is bad though, sadly.

Then the race started, did an ok start, lost a position to Patrick as he was on the inside, then the worst came as Cyril didn't let anyone pass despite having no front wing, I was right behind him, he had to lift I guess and I hit him slightly and lost my own front wing as well.

It was already lost, I didn't have the necessary pace to catch up but I kept trying anyway, the problem came when I caught Morgan Morand, despite him being on 16th place, he was defending as if it was a race win to lose .. on the incident, I tried to keep myself on the outside to overtake him on t2 in the inside, he lost control and hit me ... whatever. I'm pretty pissed because fighting this way for a 16th place is simply useless.

Sadly I already lost the championship, as I won't race in Spa either. We'll see about monza then .. Congrats Bono for the championship and the race, amazing stuff.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

This week we didn't. Pretty much all week I was struggling with quali pace. Thanks to great teamwork we managed to get things right in order anyway. So Quali i was heading for 1.43.6 but a small mistake in the last Chicane cost me 0.2sec. Still 7th position, which was a good position to start the race, knowing that my racepace was good.

I had a good start to p6 and after Nilson went of track I was on 5th with de Wit on my back. Avoiding his questionable manouvres I lost time, instead of just cruising with the pack. My car was damaged after several hits in the back and side from de Wit and got harder to handle. After that an unfortunate braking misser of Nilsson brought an end to my race.

I hate speaking about possible results, but this was one of those races which was ment to be a good one for me..

Special thanks to Phil Estrada to give me the trust and supports and to the whole team for all the work and help. Cya in Monza.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Much above anticipation after I once again failed to get the best out of qualifying. Missed my PB by 0.2 and that was the difference between P9 and a more comfy P4 or P5. Got away bad aswell because a car almost stalled 2 rows ahead and I went on the grass to avoid it. Very smooth and diciplined driving in T1 and L1 but I was back in P12.

Careful first laps because tyre temps had dropped. Few people around me made mistakes and I was gifted positions. Overtook Viirok in T1, second time I could keep it up to della Roggia aswell. I could pull away and gained some on Yakimenko, but never got close enough despite him missing the 2nd chicane several times.

After everyone pitted I was still out and in P2 after Atze. Had a really neat fight with Stahre and Domingues where we were 3 abreast into T1 at one points. Gained two free positions back when they crashed eachother out to be back in P2. Euler catched me and I let him go because my tyres were already getting bad and fighting would have made it worse for both of us.

Hoped to hold on to the podium but a few laps from home Reitveld got a nice tow out of Ascari and overtook me in Parabolica. My tyres were so bad I could just stay on the outside and let him go. Cruised home with terrible tyres and marginal engine after a successful 0 stop strategy.25View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2010-09-05Italy Monza, Italy 2011 Bruno MarquesWC2010P1P5Comment: As Dennis, I had to race with a flu, meant I was pretty tired into the race already. Despite this, I managed to do pole position, being close to my qualify personal best, even though the qualify didn't go that smoothly, I kept having people coming out of the pits and not letting me go by before the 1st chicane or just before the apex.
For the race, I did a rookie mistake into t1, the tyres locked too much and I didn't manage to turn at all, I had to miss it, then let some people pass. Then afterwards I couldn't keep my own practice pace at all, I kept pushing but always doing mistakes, and I got tired pretty early on the race. Before my 1st pitstop something which never happened in practice happened, I locked my outside tyre on the braking into turn 1 and lost the control of the car and hit the wall there ... I didn't remove the repair damage option and lost time on the pits again ... then until the end of the race I was saving the engine, specially saving for the last lap confrontation with Tali which didn't go as smoothly as expected, when my tyres lock at 260 kph when i'm not even braking 100% !!! In any case I managed to finish in front of him and that's good for the championship.

2010-09-18Singapore Singapore, Singapore 2010 Atze KerkhofACE2010P1P1Comment: Again a flawless race! Great stuff :)

Q: 36.3 pretty much slower than my pb again, but it made me happy because the car was hard to drive in quali. 36.3 did the most important job of the weekend to get P1 in quali and stay out of trouble.

R: P1, never left it, fastest lap, setup was easy to drive and it was all about brining the car home from lap 1. I'm sorry for the guys who crashed in the warm up lap :(.

Anyway.. The important thing was to keep my car intact, so not touching the walls. I ran very low boost in the beginning to save engine and my car. Even being 0.7 sec slower than my normal racepace, the gap kept getting bigger, so I decided to hook that safe rhythm.

Im just very happy that I was able to pull it off again after Monza and want to thank everybody for professional driving. Also big thanks to Phil Estrada and the whole Twister team for this great weekend. GOOD LUCK WC DRIVERS!! 50View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2010-09-19Singapore Singapore, Singapore 2010 Bruno MarquesWC2010P2P3Comment: Sadly this wasn't the result I wanted at all.

Qualify was pretty much what I expected even though I wanted to break into the 35's but the only lap I could have done that I made a huge error in s2 losing around 2 tenths.Patience!

For the race, my car was pretty competitive both in race and qualify, but the fact that I had to save fuel (meaning I used less boost than possible ) from the very 1st lap even though I had full tank hurted my chances completely. I lost a place to Ronny as I had no idea where even Bono was and I didn't want to be too agressive into T1 and hit one or even both Precisions, so I just lost a position that if I had a good enough pace, I should have taken it back anyway. Unsurprisingly both ran away and I found myself defending even on the 1st stint where I was the heaviest car on the field it seems. Then after each pitstop the car improved slightly but I still had to keep saving fuel. All in all i'm happy with 3rd place as I simply had no chance to do better, did no big mistakes, nothing..

This time I got closer to my PB in qualifying, which brought me closer to the front and helped me achieve my goal of starting the race from the first two rows. People were very sensible in the start and there were no changes of position near the top. I had no chances to have a serious look and a quick glance in the mirrors showed there were no serious threat to my own position either. First lap was, as usual here, all about staying on the racing line and not get fooled by dirty air, heavy car or cold tyres.

Apart from a clash with Werdmuller which unfortunately ended his race the only events were a few half attempts at Keithley which I thought better off. Fortunately he pitted very early and I could go. Then the other leaders pitted early aswell and I could take the lead closely followed by my teammate Niza who was doing a very good job. I could keep the distance to around 1 second without any problem but to extend the lead I would have needed to take much more risk and I wasn't prepared to do that as I already had reckoned that I would be pretty safe for P2 because of my 1 stopper.

My tyres held up over even my expectations and I could make my only stop on L30. The second stint was equally uneventful. Kerkhof was sailing away and I couldn't do anything about him. De Matos was ten seconds behind with twenty laps to go so he wasn't a big worry even if he had slightly fresher tyres. Basically I drove carefully, minding the gap, keeping my margins for error big enough and boosting conservative to have tyre and engine resources left should he catch up. He obviously put up a very good pace and set a few FL along the way but my gap was big enough to stay comfortably ahead. Stragegically a perfect race which brought a very welcome 1-2 for Twister Racing and my first podium since P2 in Monaco.40View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Race: Became quite clear in the first laps that my racepace was good enough, so I could push hard in 'save mode' and create a small gap on de matos. I chose to do a 2 stopper, although I wasn't sure until the moment I decided to turn my car into the pitlane. The car felt great again in race and very stable.

Very very happy with this win, but I don't know if it would've been such a comfortable race if Stahre, Dominguez and Kanitz were able to race this one. Congrats to Joakim and de Matos.

Race, I had originally planned on trying to hang on to the Precision's during the 1st stint, but I didn't even have time for that, Lee hit me on the hairpin. At least he let me pass again ,even if it meant losing places as well.

After last GP I was really motivated for this race, but the whole period of testing I was struggling with the car. The track requires some experience, which I gained this race for next season :). That's pretty much all the good news.

Q P5: Couldve been worse, was even slower than the day before, but it got me in a good position for race.

R P7: Started good, but I was pushing too hard on the tires. I feel very sorry for what happened to Bruno. He was clearly the fastest on this track :(. The accident between him and de Wit brought me to P3. I was forced to do a two stopper, while in testing I had perfect wear for a one stopper. At the first stop I speeded in the pitlane, so I got a drive through. Lost a lot of positions and had to remain calm in order to finish the race. The final stage was actually pretty exciting to close the gap with Conti. Unfortunately a normal overtaking manouvre got ruined by lots of contact he made in his aggressive defending.

I'm glad I finished the race and still got some points out of it. Congrats to Mikkonen and Hirrle. Also Bono showed an impressive climb to 3rd spot.

Next race Abu Dhabi, with hopefully a happy blue sky instead of the rainy clouds today on Interlagos ;)8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

I suffered a bit on the qualify as I had a race only setup, 3rd place was about what I needed to fight for the win. Warmup came and the car behaved as I expected, made me smile even because I really struggled on the qualify. The race was pretty eventful, very close fight the 1st 20 laps or so between Atze, me and Bono until the incident happened, which pretty much put Atze out of the win, sadly. I pitted after Bono because I wanted to benefit from the newer tyres without being passed by anyone on the pits, I managed to pass him later and run away even after setting a couple of perfect laps. Until the end I tried to manage fuel and tyres, Bono started to use much more boost the whole final 5 laps, but I managed to win :)

Congratulations to Bono for this title once again, completely deserved, i'm happy to have ended the season with a win though!25View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2010-10-31United Arab Emirates Yas Marina, UAE 2011 Atze KerkhofWC2010P1P6Comment: Q: was able to improve in every single Q lap. Brought me to a nice pole at the end of the season: 1.37.200 After I set that time I just figured that I didn't need to improve that one and checked the replay for cutting to be sure it was an ok lap.

R: Well this was an interesting race. Lost my p1 in the first corner to Bono, so I started out chasing him. My goal was to pass him soon as possible, because I felt it was important for me to lead and set the pace. Also I wanted to lead because I knew my pace in the second stint would've been much better than the first looking at the earlier WS race. I only had to make it to that first stop and things would've been different. Bono and Bruno stayed close behind me in the slipstream and in lap 19 Bruno passed me on the long straight.

After that I got Bruno's slipstream and was closing in to him very quickly with Bono a couple of centimeters behind me. I knew I couldn't brake as late as Bruno and Huis, so to avoid contact in the braking area with Bruno in the dirty air I had to lift a bit to create a safe distance. Bono couldn't anticipate to that lift and hit me in the rear, causing my rear wing to be damaged. I came on the middle of the kerb with a very unstable car after that hit and my wheels were blocking allover the place because i was floating on that kerb. That blocking caused that I couldn't avoid Bruno his car and I lost my front wing.

After limping back to the pit without a front wing and heavily damaged rear wing I came back on track on p7 which was still a good turn out position considering that the runners in front of me still had to pit. I thought I would've been able to bring the car home on that set of tires, but the damage on my car really made the car instable causing me to make another mistake and pit again. The rest of the race I just had to remain my calm and focus, to bring the damaged car home. In the end I got heavily challenged by Patel and Werdmuller in a super fun fight which brought the smile and joy back in the race.

Anyway, there is no worse feeling in racing than driving into your teammates car and losing out on the first possible win in WC for me. I'm very dissapointed but I will work hard for the last race in Hungary next weekend. Just as Abu Dhabi, I really enjoy that track. And I've got some spots to win in the overall classification in WS.

CONGRATS to Bruno for his well deserved win after what happened to him last race and Bono for second place and winning the overall championship after this dominant season for him and Precision.

We had fantastic pace here as Q showed, both Q1 and Q2, where I got pole just ahead of Bono. Should have been a more comfortable gap, but with the one lap system it's hard to nail it, especially on this track.

The car was really good in race condition as well, and a win would definitely have been possible if it weren't for the BSOD that put an end to my hopes.

I ruined my lap in sector 1 already, but at least got reasonable second and last sectors, so I ended up 3rd on the grid.

At the start of the race I could keep up with the leading pair easily, and overtook my teammate and later Mikkonen, only to be repassed almost instantly after some contact, which resulted in losing 2nd position to Huis. After that my race was quite monotonous, chasing Mikkonen all through the last stint without getting a real chance to pass. q2: was a good lap, I saw Bono making a mistake in front of me, which distracted me from my own lap, so I lost 0.2 in the final sector and lost pole there.

R: beginning was easy, didn't want to take any risks and tried a pass on Mikkonen. He counteracted impressively and took back the lead. After that Nilsson was in my slipstream and on the straight he got next to me. Our cars collided and I had damage on the left side. After that I had massive understeer and Bono could quite easy make a pass on me. The understeer made me run wide in T8 and caused a big spin, losing a lot of positions.

From that moment I just pushed like crazy, trying to leapfrog some driver by pitting in lap 20. This didnt work out, coming out of the pit in traffic. Q2: I always felt more comfortable here, and indeed I got a good lap together, although still off my personal best. P2 was alright.

Race: I managed to pass Huis in T1 and then it was a matter of not making mistakes, which worked out well. However, I lost out in the pits or outlap for some reason, which resulted in seeing Huis a car length in front of me when he had made his stop. Quite frustrating. I chased him all through the second stint, but no big mistakes were made from him so he managed to take the chequered flag first once again. Congratulations to him!

2011-06-05Spain Catalunya, Spain 2011 Atze KerkhofWC2011P4P3Comment: Q1: I was suprised how close the gaps were, but did a good lap which brought me to q2.

Q2: Had a good first part of the lap, but again lost time in the last part. Lost p2. I was impressed with Bono's lap, which was equal to my q2 pb. Unfortunately de Wit came out in p3 on his medium tires.

R: With de Wit in front of me I had little chance in the first part. He was on mediums and it was frustrating to see Bono and Fredrik dissapear in front of Patrick. There was not much I could do than wait for a mistake. I had a few attempts to overtake. The first was nearly succesful, but I pulled a small Hamilton move on de Wit so gave him back the spot immediately. Later he defended the inside line very aggresively so there was little chance to be succesful without losing car parts. After a couple of tries I succesfully passed de Wit, but in that same lap I clipped the kerb in the final chicane, nearly spinning and losing the spot to de Wit again! There I decided my only chance was to leapfrog him, which I succesfully did. I was afraid that it failed, because I came out on track behind Saxen, but fortunately he didn't put up too much of a fight since he was on old tires.

After my pitstop I had clear space to push some laps and trying to close the gap to Nilsson and Bono. This worked for a couple of laps, but quite soon I realized that pushing like that would kill my tires too soon ending in a possible puncture. So the last 15 laps I had to drive very very careful in the right corners to make it to the finish. I ended the race with minimum tire left, which made me a happy driver.

Great fun race, nice battles and grats to Bono and Fredrik. Good days for Twister-Racing and a big shout out to my teammate Cossacco for winning the SimHQ Endurance race tonight!15View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q2: Put 1st gear by accident in the last chicane when I was up on the pole time. 3rd on the grid was not ideal in any way.

Q1 I had a bad first attempt, but was enough for p3.

Q2 is where the trouble started. During my lap I appeared to be in Someones whisperlist on Team Speak. Over 50% of the lap I had to listen to extremely loud commentary, instead of my own engine. So a good position was simply impossible. But a good lesson learned here.

R: Had a decent start. I think I passed 2 drivers in the first sector. After that Rouault clipped a bugged wall and got launched full into me. Incredible damage and the car was undrivable. Was able to follow Morand and Room dispite the damage, but the car was all over the place with rear wing and side damage. My only change for a podium was to leapfrog those two drivers, but that didn't work out either.
After the pit I was just chasing with a limping car until I touched the wall on the inside and my car got parked.

Big shame, because the pace was there. Had some real good preparation for everything thanks to my engineer. Grats to Bono (ctrl-v from last 7 races) and Fred. Cya in Canada, I believe it's my future favourite track.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Race: On lap 2 I got hit by de Wit who braked way too late into T1, which damaged the rear of my car. Rear end got a bit snappy on some places, which is far from ideal on this track, especially with this mod. I got more tyre wear than expected because of this contact, so I had to pit earlier than I wanted to.
Problem in the pits with the speed limiter not engaging meant a stop and go penalty, and after that the race was pretty much over. In the end I fought with Hirrle who put up a very harsh fight, but I managed to pass him. In the end I had chances of finishing 8th, but after making a very simple mistake I spun in T1 and stalled my engine. Race over.

This is surely one race to forget, never felt comfortable in the car at all during testing, no matter what setup changes. Now onto a track which should suit me much much better and hopefully I can be back fighting for wins again. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2011-07-03Canada Montreal, Canada 2011 Atze KerkhofWC2011P11P9Comment: Well this surely was an eventful race..

Starting from the back is a fun experience, I'd recommend it to anybody (Bono? :P) The car was perfectly prepared to overtake and slize through the field and the first laps was a matter of staying out of trouble. After some good battles I arrived behind Saxen. He missed the chicane and the gravel caused him to nearly spin. I had to avoid on full speed causing me to spinn completely losing all my positions again. Race was a bit less fun at that moment but once back in a rhythm I found myself again in a great pace gaining quickly on the runners in front. For some reason I lost focus and missed the last chicane causing me to plant the car in the wall, damaging pretty much everything and losing a wing. That inlap was very long and I believe I ended up in last position again after my pitstop repairs.

After repairs the car felt good again and it was time to close the 15 sec gap on Disley. Suprised by the fact that my teammate showed up in front of me after pitting I had some motivation to push as hard as I could from there. Good 3 way battle with Hirrle where we (myself mostly) made contact and my front suspension was bend. Last 10 laps I was driving Indycar oval style with a turned wheel in order to go straight fighting for the fastest lap. But nearly missed that.

Exciting race, but next race I'd like to participate in quali again.2View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q2: reasonable safe lap, not perfect but good pole!

WU: rFactor crashed again! So had to shut everything down, delete the buggy CTDP plugin and installed XD. Nevertheless I was stressed out at the beginning of the race.

Race: 1st corner went almost wrong nearly kept it there but fell back to 3rd. I knew I had to overtake Mikkonen quickly because else Greco would be too far maybe. But this happened quite soon. After that I closed the gap to Greco and he didn't fight me either.

After that I was quite relaxed but when Greco disconnected, I saw Bono was already 4 sec behind me.. So from there is was stressy. Because Bono had fresher tires throughout the race he was able to drive slightly quicker, but I kept it under control.
Finally that victory where we've been waiting for.

I wanna thank the whole team for the hard works these weeks and special thanks to my friend Cossacco who was guiding me through these weeks and race keeping me sharp..!

Now I will jump into the car to France/Spain to do some surfing :)

Have a good break all!!25View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2011-08-14Germany Nurburgring, Germany 2011 Fredrik NilssonWC2011P4P3Comment: This was possibly the most boring race I have ever driven. Absolutely nothing happened, bar the overtake on Morris on lap 6. I got a gap to Hirrle when he had to wait some laps to get past Morris, so after my pass I did not see a single car anymore in the race, neither in front nor behind me.
In the end when I had saved some fuel to be on the safe side, I joined in the fastest lap time battle to get some excitement. That failed however.

Anyway it was nice to be back on the podium again after a couple of crap races. There were still some things in this race that should have been better prepared to get a couple of tenths more, but all in all I am happy and confident in the car again.

I will miss the Hungarian GP because of a vacation next weekend, so next race will be Spa I guess for me. Cya there. 15View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2011-08-14Germany Nurburgring, Germany 2011 Atze KerkhofWC2011P2P2Comment: Q1: didn't go as well, but my first attempt was good for Q2 easily.

Q2: medium lap.. was very careful..

R: Very fun.. T1 was ofcourse the most important moment in the race. Didn't take any risks as for the rest of lap 1. Tires were very cold and the car was hard to handle on the hard cold tires. After some laps I got a good rhythm, Bono was on the same pace basically and it was a matter of creating a gap and keep the car on this tricky track.

The only shot of overtaking was the pitstop, but in my inlap something scared the .... out of me and I totally missed the last chicane. Lost some precious seconds there but I'm quite sure this wouldnt have made any difference in the end. After the pit the car felt actually much better, while i hardly had practice on my 2nd stint pace. After a while I saw a Mak Corps car in front of me. I assumed he was getting lapped at that moment, but it turned out to be Hirrle who was on a weird extreme late pitstop strategy, giving Bono room and holding me up for some laps. I guess that was the strategy... Wasn't amuzed by it and the outside overtake on Hirrle made my race much better. Bono was now 4 seconds in front of me and we matched pace.. In the end he struggled with some factors I believe and I closed the gap to 2.something seconds but out of reach of any hope for the win after the failed pitstop..

Good result for the team and grats to the podium.. Only 1 week until next GP so see you soon.18View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2011-08-21Hungary Hungaroring, Hungary 2011 David DominguezWC2011P6P15Comment: The last day before the race I said to one of my team mates that I was going to do 1,15,0 in Q1 and 1,16,2 in Q2. And it happened, 15,0 in Q1 and 16,2 in Q2, my main fear for this race was just the qualifying sessions, as it's my weakest point. Surprisingly, it was enough for a P6 in Q2, a good place to start.

The start was really chaotic with the front guys, with some of them having contacts/crashing etc. At least my start went fine, having Dimitri behind me was a guarantee as he is a clean guy. My start was pretty same than Raino in front, so I just keep my position in T1, and won a position in T2 because Atze had a contact with Morand I think.

After that I was really driving safely, without pushing much, also saving a bit of engine as it was not possible to pass. All went fine until Patrick started to do so many mistakes and I had him in front, I really wanted to pass him as he was on softer compound and because for the first time I really had a podium chance. Unfortunatelly I tried to push too much in the last corner of the seventh lap and I had a big slide, I couldn't save it and I crashed with the wall, loosing the FW and having important steering damages.

Really sad for the team because the setup and testing work during the week was brilliant. Now Fred is back and I hope he will reach soon his first win. Congratulations to Bono and Precision for the Drivers Championship.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2011-08-21Hungary Hungaroring, Hungary 2011 Atze KerkhofWC2011P2P16Comment: Q1: lovely lap!

Q2: horrible lap 0.7 of pb. de Wit on pole wasnt a suprise on his supersofts. Being lapped after that says enough. But that's still my frustration speaking.

R: Lovely turn 1 went as planned. My focus was on de Wit, so I kind of went wide and steered in.. In the replay i realized it was a bit close to Bono. Wasnt meant to close any gap as I wanted to overtake de wit on the exit. Apologies for that.

Turn 2 de Wit was on the insde, as expected he overshot the corner so it went perfect.. Only my gears slipped to 1st gear resulting in my rear to start gliding heavily. No problem still. I made small contact with Bono because he got bombed by Morand and after Morand found his way through Bono he hit my rear resulting in my car to be launched into the barrier. End of race. Looking back it is an unfortunate situation since i went wide, and went back to normal line again. So I'm not pointing and won't protest, but I'm sure with any other driver this wouldnt have happened.......

This race I was on top of it. Looking back to the laptimes of the front runners (and knowing my own pace here) I'm even more dissapointed. I was hoping to say next race I will be recovering from this, but due to circumstances this was the last race for me to prepare properly for. Nevertheless big congrats to Bono for his championship. Well deserved and he was clearly the smartest and quickest this season!0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q2: i drive a 1.44.2 so i started from p7 on the grid.

Race: On the first laps, i was scared by Stoffel as he brake really late on La Source so was happy to see it in times to avoid the contact. After that, Stoffel was able to pass me because of Slipstream. Lap 14 or 15, i don't remember well, after Dennis had small contact with Stoffel one lap before, i tried to pass but he pushed me on the grass so wasn't able to pass.
I decided to stop one lap after Dennis as i didn't want to be leapfrop by others because of a late pit. After Stoffel made his pit stop, i was able to pass him thanks to slipstream and a good top speed.
I tried to push to stay behind Mikko but i lost 2 secondes when Morand spun in Les combes so i wasn't able to catch him after that. Until the end of race, i had a nice fight with Jaakko but as my tyres were worn, he was able to pass me on last turn.

P5 at the end, with more luck p4 was possible. I'm happy, again i scored points in WC. A big thanks to the team, it was an honour today to replace Atze with the main Twister car and thanks to my t-mates for the help provided. 10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Q1: a PB obviously, but i knew if i put the sectors together i could do a time like that, i would have preffered a P2 in Q2 obviously but it was nice to be up there.

Q2: i felt the lap wasn't too bad, but it was still half a second off so not very good, but still plenty of oppurtunity from P7.

Race: I was careful at the start to keep my wings and Pat and Lee passed by braking later. Then we were all in the train offcourse, trying to keep my wings and find a way past Lee if possible while keeping it clean. It was quite intense and fortunately the group was quite respectful on track so we could all keep our wings.

When i finally cleared all the traffic i was finally able to show my pace in clean air before the pitstop. After the stop i was concerned about my brakes being in traffic so long, so i was saving them a bit behind Blair.

All the laps in testing i did not once spin at the exit of Ascari, i felt so safe through there all race long, but the car just went and there was nothing i could do.......

Strange how things go, you can be in an 5-8 car train and get out of there with no damage, but then retire in a corner where u have had no issues at all, quite dissapoiting..........

Congrats to the point finishers and a shout out to my Pince tmate Dimi for some points on his B-Day.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2011-10-23United Arab Emirates Yas Marina, UAE 2011 Karim WezenbergWC2011P4P19Comment: Probably my most embarrassing retirement, and it's a shame it had to happen today as i looked strong for at least a top 5 finish.

After barely making the finish yesterday with my fuel and losing a lot of time in the final laps i took 3 liters more today to be sure i wouldnt have to cruise. Then i was focused on keeping my Med Tyres up to temperature in the form lap so i wouldnt as much understeer as i had in WS the first few laps.

Things were looking good and was feeling confident , but then after the last corner on form lap, my FFB was simply gone, i was trying to reset it and then accidentally hit the LControl button and got confused and simply stalled the engine.

I try to learn from every mistake and got another harsh lesson today!

grats to my tmates for their results and the other point finishes, i will try and join u next time.

2011-10-23United Arab Emirates Yas Marina, UAE 2011 Fredrik NilssonWC2011P2P2Comment: Fun race in the end. First half was nothing spectacular, with Bono edging out a gap. I ran a bit too conservative settings with coolers, which meant some time loss. But Bono was unbeatable for me anyway.

I was in no mans land until some lap where I nearly spun and crashed into a wall, which meant Hirrle got past me. We then had a battle until the very end with some tight racing. Puumalainen joined in as well with his 1 stopper for a while. In the end I managed to get past Hirrle when he let me past after he got by me because of a corner cutting I think. After a race full of big and small mistakes here and there, it was nice to get P2 in the end after some nice action. 18View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2011-11-06Brazil Interlagos, Brazil 2011 Karim WezenbergWC2011P11P15Comment: Would have liked a strong WC result after the unfortune in some previous of the WC races, but starting from the back i knew it would be close to impossible. Without going slightly too wide in Q2 of Abu Dhabi i think i could have gotten a good grid position and a strong result here.

The WS race was good but i made a mistake on lap 2 which lost me a position and entered the pits in the wrong lap which cost me a chance to fight for the win.

The biggest succes for me this year was to get rid of my unusual driving style which was holding me back a little bit. I was completely stuck in that crazy driving style and i didnt know how to get out of it despite a lot of experience. Atze showed me the way, so a very big thank you to him and the rest of the team for helping me unlock this extra bit of potential.

I believe driving can always be further improved and i have worked hard for the improvements i made so that def gives me some pride in the fact that i never gave up.

I would like to be there again next year, but that will depend on several aspects and not just if RF2 is out yet.

Thanks to everyone who make this league great and have a good winter!0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Then I kept up with Mikko and Bono because they were constantly fighting eachother, and managed to stick my car up there a few times. Went for an early pitstop, but touched the grass on the way into the pits which made me slam the car into the barrier. Not the best way to end the season, since I was looking good for P3 here with the least testing of the whole season.

Congratulations to Bono for an amazing season, and to the top 3 in the standings. Great job. Also big thanks to Twister Racing for having me onboard this season. It was a real pleasure to drive in such a great team in FSR, which helped me achieve my first pole position and some 2nd places in races. Despite not getting that one race win, I still think it was a good season. I don't dare to say what next year brings in simracing for me, still not decided what to do, but maybe I will see you here again.

2012-04-08Australia Melbourne, Australia 2013 Fredrik NilssonWC2012P4P6Comment: Not a very good qualifying, with 4th I knew fighting for the win would be very hard when it's almost impossible to overtake.

Got an OK start, fourth through the first turn behind Bono and Vandoorne. They fought quite hard in front of me, almost making me come through at some points, but with this tight track it was hard to sneak past.

Eventually Bono passed Vandoorne, and I was about to do the same a couple of laps later. I was on the inside for braking at turn 2, but Vandoorne braked diagonally from the outside right into me, almost making me spin. Very questionable move. Later I made a mistake in the fast ess, touching the wall. Luckily it happened about when the first stop was due, but I lost precious time and had damage the rest of the race.

From then on it was damage limitation which worked out fine, p6 in the end. P5 was about to happen, but my brakes failed in the end so I had to let go of it. Great job by my team mate Eduardo who finished a strong 5th.

Encouraging from this race is that we for sure have the pace to fight for wins, despite losing very valuable persons in the off season, and all the other things that happened. So big thanks to Twister-Racing Team. Let's hope we can put up a problem free fight at Sepang.8View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2012-04-08Australia Melbourne, Australia 2013 Eduard MallorquiWC2012P14P5Comment: Wonderful weekend since I am in Formula Sim-Racing and I finished in 5th place at FSR World Championship, which proves the great performance we had.

Q1: I had technical issues so I only had two shots to try get inside Q2 but I did awful laps that made it impossible to be in Q2, in the end I was 14th.

Race: I had a perfect start from the middle of the grid, overtaking a lot of cars in the first, second and third turns and I managed to put the car in 10th place.

Then at the start of second lap Yannick Lapchin was trying to overtake Raino Room and he lost traction in the exit of first turn, so I got his slipstream and I overtook him in the braking of the third turn in a clean move. The next car was Raino Room so I got as close as I could and I made a great pass around the outside in T13, achieving the 8th place. Unfortunately he lost the control of his car, because of our contact, and Yannick Lapchin touch his rear wing taking both outside of the track.

After this crazy start I had free track to get my pace and try to catch Marcel vd Linden. On lap 7 I could get his slipstream and I made an inside move into turn one which give me the 7th place. Then I caught the group of Stoffel Vandoorne, Fredrik Nilsson, Rasmus Tali and David Greco in lap 11, and I won another place passing Rasmus Tali, who had to go almost outside of the track in fourth turn because of the battle. Then I tried some moves to overtake David Greco but it was impossible because of his great defensive driving, I lost traction in the exit of the second turn and that allowed Rasmus Tali to overtake me in the T3 but luckily he braked late and he went into the gravel losing a lot of time. So finally I tried some more moves to overtake David Greco without luck and I decided to stay behind him saving fuel and engine until my first stop.

At that time I had a free track again to get my pace back until David Greco was exiting the pits and I overtook him in a very risky move at T3. I get a clear track to put some distance between myself and him.

At the end of the race I was in a very comfortable 5th place but my teammate, Fredrik Nilsson, was catching me very fast, so after pushing hard in the final lap he passed me in T1, but luckily for me, he had a brake failure at T9, so I had a fantastic 5th position.

This is my best result so far in Formula Sim-Racing and I am very proud of it. Thanks to Twister-Racing for give me this fantastic chance and I hope to keep this amazing performance for the whole season, but it will be very hard.10View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Start was good however, so I was third out of first corners, and stayed there for the remainder of the race. So to Simon, nothing special to say.

I knew the pace of the front runners this time was unreachable for me. I made new personal bests in hitting the escape button hard during testing for this race. Car was not good, not fast, and it was frustrating not being able to improve it to get where we wanted to be. So considering this, we had 3rd place in mind today, meaning mission accomplished. The margin to the guys ahead was a bit embarassing though, so we must try to recover for China. I doubt much will change in that race, but it should suit my driving better at least.

Well done to Bono and PM for the win. Cya in two weeks.15View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2012-04-22Malaysia Sepang, Malaysia 2012 Petar BrljakWC2012P13P12Comment: I didn't have really time to check the race briefing so i didn't know Q1 started so early because of the longer Q2 version. That meant i was late and got only 2 attempts and both with traffic so only a poor 32:0 for 13th. My race was basically ruined by that as P6-P7 was possible.

From the start I realised i haven't warmed up my brakes enough so i had to brake early for T1, losing a position. But after some guys got into some trouble in S1 i regained it and then passed Dian round the outside of s2 hairpin after he made a small mistake out of the double right hander, and that was really the only good thing that happened in the race. I was easily keeping up with the train and felt the car was nice and tried to put a move on Gosbee, but he in front had some toe from the other car so I always lacked a car length to get a shot at him. On L7-8 he lost the car out of the s2 hairpin and collected me, causing me quite some damage at the front. From then on the pace was gone, it took forever to get around and out of slow corners and I was even slower than in the WT race(where i was pushing less). My pitstops were also a bit slow because i didn't practice with clutch and was being very careful not to stall.

The 2nd part of the race was rather boring, Mikko was slowly pulling away and Saxen was slowly catching me and no matter how much i pushed, the clock was just sitting in the low 34s which is of course way too slow for WC. I defended for quite some time in the 3rd stint and then we came in the pits together(L42 i think) where he just managed to get in front, and out of frustration i almost forgot to brake into T1 and had a bit of moment. He slowly pulled away and I just kept limping to the finish.

Overall it was a missed opportunity for some points, i think around P7 was realistic to expect but pretty much everything went wrong from Q1 to finish.

Congrats to the podium finishers and wanna says thanks to D.D for letting me race :)0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2012-05-06China Shanghai, China 2012 Fredrik NilssonWC2012P16P23Comment: Total mystery this one. Not much time to test due to work and studying, but still I lacked pace massively on race day compared to testing. No idea how or why, but it was shocking. Worst qualifying I ever had I think, could have made up some positions in the race to get some points but it was over in turn 2 where I lost my front wing. I decided to call it day.

The last two races have been very disappointing for us. We are lacking something in the setup, mostly in medium and high speed corners, and if we want to compete we must find a solution fast. I have no prediction for Monaco since I thought we would be good here, but that turned out to be massively wrong...

Congrats to Bono and PM again for a very impressive race. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2012-05-06China Shanghai, China 2012 Petar BrljakWC2012P5P8Comment: Q1: All were only average laps, was just enough to pull through though.
Q2: Good lap, but i made a mistake in t1 which cost me P4...

At the start Tali squeezed on the inside of me and nearly crashed Lapchin, into t3/t4 i almost stopped behind them and was helplessly passed by Baldi and then De Wit into t6. The next lap I was avoiding Lapchin again at the exact same place which allowed Puschke to sneak up on me and pass me after a cut back in t6 in the fast chicane. I was stuck in that train the whole first stint until L12 when Lapchin went wide after some contact and Puschke made a little mistake under braking, so i passed them both in the s3 hairpin. I was hounding Baldi for 6th on my next lap(inlap) but I failed so badly on the pit entry after being careful not to collect him that i forgot to brake and threw my car into the wall. The impact wasn't so hard i think but surprisingly i had a lot of damage on the car..., the pitstop lasted only 10s because i didn't fix all of it. Out of pits another fail when I switched to first gear by accident and half spun, losing me another 5-6s... so i lost 15s in 500m of track -> genius.

After that i was in 13th or 14th far away from Baldi who I was about to pass back then, and seeing him finish in 4th, i'm very angry with myself.
So it was all about playing catch up to the end of the race, until the last stint i didn't really have much chance for a points finish but then i saw Puschke suddenly just over a second in front and he was just over a second behind Masciulli, so i tried to push as hard as i could to stay with him because somehow i knew he would catch Masciulli and that was my chance. We were closing on him very equally and i caught up to them when they were busy already fighting with a few laps to go.

And on the final lap both me and Phillip get a great run onto the back straight as De Wit was right in front running out of fuel. It was very close at the hairpin and in the last corner, i think De Wit confused Masciulli and he was very slow out of it, allowing Puschke to get a run on him to the line, but I think he turned in a bit much into Puschke and they crashed and I've only just managed to take 9th... I was ROFLing for a few seconds there xD

In the end picked up a few points which is an ok result, but i'm disappointed with the race because 4th was very much possible. We lacked a lot in the setup compared to other teams, but 1h before the race i've found some performance in the car and decided to use a completely new setup because every improvement was good compared to what we had. Had I had more practice with it, who knows, maybe I'd get onto the podium :D

Quite strange, I was driving quite slowly on purpose, but still the car turned itself around very quickly in the last swimming pool chicane.

We had some good pace here at least, but on the coming regular tracks I have no big expectations at the moment.0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2012-06-03Canada Montreal, Canada 2012 Petar BrljakWC2012P6P17Comment: Q1: Nothing special, but got to Q2 much easier than expected.
Q2: Pretty awful lap, slower than in WT and still P6 xD

Again fail after fail in WC races... I pressed the wrong button for clutch and stalled on the grid, so start from the pitlane. I already had more than 25s to Bono from the start, I knew it was gonna be tough to get in the points so I drove my ass off to catch and pass people. Took me about 12 laps to catch the backmarkers and then pass Disley and Masciulli... in the 2nd stint I caught and passed Varga and just in the beginning of 3rd stint Lapchin too.

Then I had 6s to Kanitz and Baldi and was closing little by little and just when I was getting on the back of them on L67 my engine blew up, pushed it too hard playing catch up. With others having problems in front i would catch 8th or 9th which would be a good result considering starting from the pits.
If i had started from the P6 looks like i'd be giving my teammate headaches for 2nd in the end, so big opportunity lost... :/

WC's a bit cursed for me at the moment, having stupid lapses of concentration...0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2012-06-17Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2012 Fredrik NilssonWC2012P4P8Comment: Another horrible horrible Silverstone race, third in a row.

Qualifying was good, as good as I had hoped for. This was my biggest worry. I thought the race would be easier, but I was wrong.

We made a last minute call to start on medium tyres on a heavy first stint since my testing pace was reasonable on this tyre and fuel load. But in the actual race, I was some 6-7 tenths slower than testing, sometimes more, so I knew by then things would be bad. I would love to tell you why this was the case, but I can't since I have no idea. I dropped down places like crazy the first laps, unable to defend in any way.

In the first stop, I missed my pit box and lost a lot of time there. As a result, I got stuck behind cars I should not have been stuck behind. In the end, I should have been some places higher, maybe two, but a combination of bad strategy and mistakes on my own resulted in 8th place.

As expected, we suffered a bit on this type of track in the end. Budapest will be hard too. See you in some weeks.4View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2012-06-17Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2012 Petar BrljakWC2012P11P10Comment: Q1: I messed up all the runs, I took Fredrik's setup shortly before the race which proved to be a mistake. P11 but my fastest lap was with a cut on Stowe so my 2nd lap counted which put me 12th.

I had a decent start, overtaking Gosbee who went a little wide in t1... more action in Club chicane where i had to be careful of the guys in front so De Wit easily got up the inside of me. I immediately got him back around the outside of Village but he got me again in Brooklands xD
On L2 De Wit and Parisis were battling in the chicane again and i cut back to overtake De Wit but i didn't know if i was in front or not, so kept weaving to see if i could get back on the racing line, but it seems he was still slightly alongside so he had to take a bit of grass, my apologies for that.
L3 Parisis got a bad run on the Hangar straight and I got a chance on the inside, he unexpectedly tried to defend the outside, so we touched but nothing special. On L5 he tried a very optimistic move into Village and gave me a little damage and he half spun... i also lost a position to Mikkonen. On L8 everybody was very close to each other in the Nilsson train so into t1 even 3 of us went wide lol and i nearly crashed into Mikkonen(almost like Morgan in Canada xD) who had a scary moment on the kerb but i somehow passed him without damage. On L10 I had Fredrik in front of me and I didn't know if he was letting me go or defending twice so i hit him which gave me more damage, the car was understeering like hell from then on and combined with the messed up setup i chose i was really struggling.

The rest of the race was quite boring and I couldn't make the 3 stop work with such slow pace... on L43 I came a car length in front of Mikkonen but he had much fresher tires and it didn't take long for him to pass(L45), then i was just bringing the car home, I would say this was my worst WC race so far. I think i've learned my lesson about changing setups last minute this time... we just can't figure out atm why our car doesn't work well in the race, we have to work hard on this matter.

Anyway, Hungary has been my strongest track last year, so it should be fine. Cyaa1View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Race start, thankfully I avoided the Turn 4 collision and I passed Kanitz in the chicane. I was then in a train following JES, who surprised me pitting on lap 6. I planned to use the same strategy as in WS, and the first few stints were quite repetitive: Being in the De Wit train, but being a bit slower in the first half of the stint than him, and gaining on him in the later stage of the stint. With the DNFs and all, I knew I was in with a chance for P7...And I passed Gosbee once around the outside in Turn 4 [I think it happened around lap 30]..
I knew it would be tight for the top 10 with JES pit in laps varying massively to mine, Mascuilli on a 4 stop and Gosbee going shorter at the first few stints...But with De Wits' DNF and Disley strugging with his tires at the end of his penultimate stint, I was able to close in on him and knowing that my race was one lap shorter due to being lapped I pitted a lap earlier and jumped Disley. Unfortunately I think I locked my brakes and that made me run wide and make contact with him.
After JES stop the following lap I was in 9th, but with no pace compared to Gosbee...I maintained 9th quite easily but two or three laps from the finish my rear left brake failed and I dropped to P11. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

After that it was Rietveld, Parisis and me passing Francesconi after a few laps. 2nd stint pass on Filosa(L14 last turn) and vd Linden and Hoffman crash in front which gives me 2 positions. I was struggling in clean air initially because of all the chaos in the 1st stint. From then on I was catching Jeff little by little and caught him just before our last stop and passed through the pits after his penalty. Was in 9th which became 8th and then 7th when Mikkonen had his problem and De Wit's brakes gave up. I probably lost 6th to Disley because of the poor 2nd stint but overall happy with the result.

By the looks of it I could have easily fought in the top 5 if i'd started further up.6View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

2012-08-12Belgium Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium 2011 Petar BrljakWC2012P11P9Comment: Had a poor quali with laps that always had a very slow s2. Despite being only 2 tenths from P4-5 I was down in 15th.

My 2nd gear was very long so i didn't get the best of starts, but the cars squeezed me a bit on the inside of t1 so i lost 1 position and saw my teammate go in the wall. :(
Into the bus stop Vandoorne made a very ambitious attempt of passing Mikkonen and then me from 3-4 car lenghts behind, hit the side of me and made me lose momentum to the cars in front which allowed him through on the Kemmel straight -.-

On L3 passed Saxen on the Kemmel and then there was mayhem in the hairpin which i got through without problems. Started following Ville who was chasing Vecchioni in front of us for the rest of the stint. Vecchioni pitted one lap earlier and came out right behind Ville but with more momentum out of t1 he regained the position. Twice i came close to overtaking Ville but was a little unlucky with the positioning of my car. Ville eventually passed him while i got a shot on the bus stop(L17) but i had a mistake in t1 which gave him back the slipstream and he repassed. On L19 i got a good run on Kemmel and was fully alongside but he braked very late and shoved me onto the curbs. I was so frustrated that i then made a bad and unusual mistake into Pouhon which made me lose 10 seconds. I was pushing really hard then trying to catch up next 2 stints. I got into 10th after the final stop and slightly catching Puschke-Vecchioni battle when Vecchioni crashed and this gave me 9th. I was then trying to catch Puschke but i kept making mistakes, i guess my head already settled for 9th xD

Again some problems but a couple of points isn't that bad, another WC race which gave me what-ifs... expect Monza to be a difficult track for me. Cyaa

Q1 was quite good considering that I did 0 qualy attempts before the session, I think it was a 23.5. My last attempt was ruined by Ivar, who leave the pitlane with the session over, I don't know what's the point of it, but well, that's life.

The race start was pretty clean I think, I kind of survived and earned 1 or 2 positions, so it was good. I was following Yannick quite easily, and towards the end of my stint I catched JES. My second stint was quite awful, some terrible initial laps with lots of mistakes on braking. At some point I lost the car out of the second chicane, and ended in the wall. I didn't stall the car, but I had no motivation to finish the race being last without any chance.

Thanks to Stephane for the setup and Petar for the last minute testing, I really needed it. Congrats to Morgan, Bono and Jeffrey for the podium, you guys had a very good pace, same for Baldi.

I guess I'm not going to drive again, but if for some reason I come back, I hope I have a bit more time to test! :)

Q2: Mistake at Lesmo 2 meant i lost 3 tenths, could have been P3...

I changed the wing angle after WT race as i saw I was too slow on the straights, but then i ended up using duct 6 and had no top speed or grip i was used to, resulting in horrible race pace...

After Gosbee passed me due to my little mistake behind Mikko i was mainly following him with a couple of seconds gap and staying in front of Puschke until the last stint that was supossed to be a sprint on a 12 lap stint but instead my focus was gone and i was ducking so badly that i lost 2 positions. Had some battles there with Duivelaar and Puschke.

Nothing was in favor of me on this track so i didn't expect much but this was really in rank with Silverstone, maybe WT is distracting me too much, but i'm not delivering my best in WC. Onto Nueburgring :)

2012-09-16Germany Nurburgring, Germany 2012 Petar BrljakWC2012P17P6Comment: Q1 and especially Q2 total fails... P10

Got a decent start and found a nice spot to brake a bit later than others which got me alongisde 2 cars but De Wit nearly parked the car on t1 apex and i clipped him, causing Jim to hit me hard in the back and dealing big damage to both cars :(

The rear of the car was destroyed, the car was pulling to the right and had no traction at all, was 1s off my pace and i couldn't even keep up with the train in front, so i decided to pit 2 laps earlier than planned and just had to fix the damage, losing me 10s in the pits. The car still wasn't ideal but i was only about 3 tenths off my pace instead of 1s. I came out down in 17th and had to claw back in the points, first passing Marconi on his outlap(L12), then Francesconi(L14 t1), Disley(L16 t5/6), Masciulli(L20 t1) and then began to chase Varga. Just when i was about to try and pass him he pitted on L34, i stayed 2 laps longer and leaped him with the later stop. I came out behind Disley again and made a nice overtake (L38 t1). My next target was Aalberts who was about 4s in front, I was gaining about 3 tenths per lap and when i finally caught him, De Wit got in between us after his last stop. When we pitted together(L48), the gap was again 2s and i started slowly catching up but Mark had a penalty so we didn't have a battle, P6 in the end.

Another rather unlucky race with major time losses and damage, i think i would be close to P3 without that(with Morgan and Jack DNF). At least a good points finish...

Pass on Masciulli on L3(t1), on Disley (L5 130R), Varga(L10 t1). In the 2nd stint came out in 15th and caught Saxen, passed him on L15(t1). I was then following Simoncic pretty much the whole race but my pace was really horrible with this car as i was driving as if i had medium tires on the rear, with terrible understeer i used to give at least a bit of traction. Unfortunately Lapchin juuust got passed me after my last stop and i was isolated from the De Wit train until i could get passed on L48(t1). Race start was ok, maintained P11 but in Turn 14 I broke too late and went into the sidepod of Baldi. Luckily he didn't loose any spots but I lost three. From then, it became pretty clear that it would be very difficult to pass, unless you were Bono :P.
After following Saxen for a few laps, I had a good enough exit out of Turn 1 to get passed him into Turn 3. Two laps later I got Werdmuller into Turn 4, I dummied him up the inside and he defended, so I took the outside and got the cutback, got in front by Turn 6 but he nearly passed me in the sweeping turns. I was really pleased with that pass as I didn't really think it'd work, I then set after Csuti, whom I passed in Turn 1, probably due to a car pitting. He got back passed into 3 and I re-overtook him into 4.
Unfortunately when I pitted on Lap 11, Dian was exiting his box and he clipped my rear end, giving me suspension damage and I basically struggled with turn in from then on.
I made a mistake on lap 18 pushing to try and pull away from De Wit in T14. Then the best part of the race for me was when Tali came out of the pits. He slotted in between De Wit and I, and we were three wide into Turn 3. I dropped two places and was squeezed to the grass, but in T4 I got De Wit back when they went wide. I held on around the outside to pass Tali in T6.

It was a shame that I had a disco, would have been close to get some points here. Car in practice was great, thanks Petar for that ;) 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Off the start it seemed like an equal launch but Puschke then flew past and Kostadinov ran wide. The three of us fought the entire lap, and just as i was planning on putting a moveto T3, i clipped the anti cut and got passed by both Lapchin and vd Linden. A lap or two later i got vd Linden back and then tried to follow Lapchin but my pace was horrible, the car had gigantic understeer for some reason, clipping the wall in the 2nd stint didn't help of course and i probably had the highest rad/duct settings of the entire field from what i heard post-race.
There were some 3 stoppers causing a bit of chaos, passing Disley and Kolarec on L14 and Masciulli on L27. Then it was all about managing the gap to Lapchin after he lost time in the pits.

P5 with super-slow pace, me happy :D

Off the line I lost a place and at lap 1 into the second chicane after the second long straight I tagged the back of Gosbee, and we both went into a slide, I maintained P9 through all of the close fighting. Shame Petar got hit off at lap 2 or 3 or he could have had a great result for the team..

Lap 4 and I was able to pass De Wit in the second chicane in the middle of the lap, this allowed me to pull away from him and try to peg the gap to Baldi. I was also able to close in on the leaders, and even though I made some mistakes I could close into the leading 5. I pitted on lap 10, and from then on nothing much was to be said really...I was very similar pace to Baldi, and I knew Gosbee was not in my race, Puschke was closing in and I was sure it would be tight between us at the end.

One close moment was at Lap 28 where Gosbee exited pits and we so nearly crashed, we had a very similar moment in WS too! - when it came to the last stint I thought I could get Baldi, or at least come close to him and make him defend, but I had no grip and Puschke passed me on lap 49, with a bit of contact down the straight which nearly put me into the wall...

Nice to see him pit on the penultimate lap, got me P7 and keep Twister with a chance of beating NR in the championship!6View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result

Hectic battling for the first 2 laps, didn't want to risk much because I was way in front of Baldi who i had to beat. I had a bit of a scruffy s3 on L2 because i didn't know where to go from all the cars fighting in front. I ran a bit wide out of last corner and Puschke got alongside me and then it was some strange racing from him... first he keeps his line, squeezing me a bit to the inside, then nudges to the left and hits me, losing me 1-2kph where he pulled ahead almost with the whole car by the braking zone. I did a little dive but he steered in hard from the middle of the road and somehow my car was launched across his sidepod into the wall where i lost my rear wing... I don't know why he'd chosen the most agressive option, as there was space for 2 more cars on the outside plus turning in like i wasn't there :S

R- Bottleneck at t3 caught me out couldnt slow my self down and I drove into the back of De Wit (sorry my bad, had no where else to go) front wing gone and nose damage for the rest of the race. After lap 1 35 seconds behind the leader.
A small fight with Disley during first stint, decided to let him by as he had newer rubber.
First pit stop around lap 28 and I was sure I need to come in for the new tyres once more.
Most of the 2nd stint I was catching De Wit and during the later stages of the race I managed to get in to striking distance and pass him into T3.
12 Laps from the end as I had nothing to lose I decided to stay out and see if I can hold guys with fresher tyres behind me. Baldi got through but rest of them stayed behind.

Considering what happened at start 8th place and points were a surprise.
Our race pace was competitive but the error at the start didnt let us show it.

On to Bahrain.

2013-05-19Monaco Monte Carlo, Monaco 2012 Fredrik NilssonWC2013P4P21Comment: Good qualifying for once, a bit shabby in some places but okay comparing to how it usually is. Was almost out of Q1 because of being held up for almost an entire lap by a car that was on an outlap, but luckily I pulled through.

At the race start I was catious, but what does that help when others are going all in to take the win in turn one? I got hit from two cars from behind, getting damage on both front and rear of the car, and that was it.

2013-06-16Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2012 Atze KerkhofWC2013P14P18Comment: Reason I was driving FSR was that we have a 3 week break in i***ng. Had a week to test and that went quite well. The setup was very good I'd like to thank the whole Twister-Racing team for this nice week.

pre q i had a BSOD
Q1 was ok
Q2 loaded wrong set

Race start was bad, I don't know that trick. Had no grip until lap 10 where things went better. Kalamees/PM forced me to pit early by pitting early. After the pit I came out behind Morand. On fresher tires I was much quicker until I noobed and hit him in t1. My front wing was gone and the car was an understeery disaster. Had to push to get at least reasonbale laptimes and made a mistake.

Twister deserved a better result, altho kudo's to Samuel for pulling a 2nd position. Bad luck for the WS championship decisions and DNF's. Maybe until later this season :). 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
2013-06-16Great Britain Silverstone, Great Britain 2012 Samuel LibeertWC2013P15P26Comment: After a 6months simracing break i decided to come back on fsr and not on iracing

Q1 was ok and enough for q2
Q2 i was lagging a bit for some reason and it was a big fail , 6 tenths off my practice best lap

Race start was bad,as yesterday n changed my first gear just before the race and it was a big mistake , I lost 4 places and was stuck behind Keithley i think. in 7th positions. My car was pretty tricky to drive until lap 10 where things went better. I pitted lap 13 and lost a lots of precious seconds in the pit. After the pit I came out behind someone. On fresher tires I was much quicker so i overtook 2 or 3 drivers.Same story for the rest of the race some people in front of me crashed or disconnected so i finished 2nd Behind ivar.

Good result for me overall
Great job from Twister team this week and i hope it will continue for the rest of the season. 0View Official Result Download PDF File of Official Result
